If the Saudis want to pick a fight with the Russians that is fine by me.

Problem here is that the Saudi Clerics<>Saudi ruling party.

Since Saudi Arabia is our ally in the nation, if SA does go to war with Russia, expect us to, at the very least, pony up some serious money to support the effort, if not also deploying our troops to the area.

I really doubt the Saudis as a country will try any overt military action. Oil prices could get real interesting, though. It would seem to me, flooding the market with more oil to hurt the Russian economy might cross their minds. That's a tricky game, though because it could further hurt their friends.

I never understood a few things yet.

A: Why did the americans kill sadam who is insane anyways? I was told that he put a hit on bush senior so when junior got in office he went after him.
B: War of opportunity since they had nothing to do with the 911 thingy.
C: Why the hell do we not let them all fight it out and see what happens
D: They do not except us and they bring their beliefs over that failed there. So common sense says if they bring their failed ideology over here it will fail again.
E: We all know iseral is just as bad but they do not attack us so we give them a pass to shoot apartment buildings for weeks, so why not just let them finish the job?
F: This is my biggest one. Give them a option we come over take out the "bad guys" who are killing you, you drop your beliefs and government system adopt ours and are forced to join the U.N. and all the said laws of. Or we just let you rot lock out the country immigrants and wait to see who the new top dog is and how to deal with them. Kinda getting sick of see people go over die then hand it back over to the new dogs to see what happens and repeat. Just because the government aren't losing children and our brothers sisters mothers fathers and kids are just numbers to them. Doesn't mean they are to us.

It is not "our government" it was a guy they picked from their who followed the same laws they always did. Insanity doing the same thing and expecting different results. The regions laws/beliefs/religion are the problems and they bring them with them all the countries who adopt them will find this out in time. They do not want to become part of the new country but bring theirs with them.

We actually didn't kill him. We just captured him and turned him over to the new Iraqi government to bring to court. Not that anyone expected him to get off with a slap on the wrist, given that he committed genocide against certain ethnic groups within Iraq,

I thought you just said that when we invaded and captured Saddam and installed a democratic government, that was bad and it was a war of opportunity? And do you actually think that we can just completely remove all forms of local government there and tell the people of the middle east "your government sucks, you're using our laws now and you can only follow the orders of elected Western officials" and expect that to actually work?

No i do not think war is bad I think a pointless war that kills people to win a election is bad. We have no buisness in going over there I feel bad for them but if they want change then THEY need to make it happen like every other country did.

For things to get better the old must be gotten rid of for the new, if they are the same then nothing will ever get better. They do not want things to get better but for them to be the ones in charge.

The whole reason my mind is so fast on this point is because when I was younger what was in 9 years ago now? I seen these ment beating these guys with sticks and fists and so on. Soon as the men on the ground got reinforcements they just reversed the roles. So what I am saying is they do not want change they just want to be the top dogs so there is no point in helping them and getting our own killed. It is like killing the father so the son can take over and do the same thing the father did....

a week or so ago they declared one on sports analysts.
They don't seem to have gone to war against ESPN though.

Saudi just cut oil prices further over the weekend. This will seriously impact Russia's teetering economy which was already heavily reliant on oil. At the rate they are going, Russia is going to have a serious issue keeping their modernization plan going and keeping troops in the field in ongoing operations. Ordinance is expensive.

Its cool and all to have paper thin armored tanks(like every other modern T-series tank) with remote controlled turrets but when you can only afford a dozen of them, they don't help much. They are still using prop driven bombers. And Yes I know we have B52s still but they are much more modern and upgraded than what the Ruskies are using and they are not our main bombers anymore.

Unlike with the US where there are big oceans between us and them, they have pretty much the biggest border in the world and have quite a few Islamic neighbors. Even Chechnya might take part in this if they feel so inclined.

Actually, news articles are noting some greater agreement with da Rooskies on that front. The Saudis are being hurt as well and if their standard of living starts getting impacted, the family will fall.
