Wow theres been a lot of lovely work posted over the last fortnight!

I've decided to make a start on my dark aelves as my first aos army. Here is a wip/mockup of a cold one chariot.

I've decided to go with a city under siege look, however i found it was easy for the base to look very bland with just greys. I've tried injecting some colour with the blue tiles, corpses, blood and some osl. The osl seems heavy handed in the photos but i can assure you in real life the colours aren't as saturated.

Curry I usually like what you do but here I think it's just too much airbrush. It looks weird.

Unfortunitly i agree, theres no definition, the base is nice but the rest is just powery dusty smear of colour. Very beautiful colour but that may be its just a base coat. Maybe once all the details are filled in and edges are highlighted it will pull it together.

It says wip/mockup, he's just done the first layer with the airbrush and no details yet, that's how it looks. Will probably look killer when finished.

Been a bit of a slog, but I have finally finished all the Dracothian Guard I was planning to do, by adding a full Thunder Echelon!

Just got the two Stardrakes to do now, hoping to get them done over the next few days!

Did a little on the Lord Relictor last night. Mainly layering up his armour and some of the smaller details. Wondering if I should just leave his parchment cloak off and leave him as is? He's quite a busy model as it is, so I don't think it'd hurt to leave it off. Apologies in advance for the photo quality, it was quite late!

ie this bit(not my pic):

Here's the Lord Relictor so far(can zoom in on the Gallery if you click the photo):

Lovely stuff as per usual Matt. Has GW reached out to you to do the AoS Batreps in the new WD? Yours are very entertaining and your painted collection rivals theirs at this point!

Very cool Voodoo/Uruk Hai vibe there. A horde done up that way would look really striking.

Segmenting the face paint to more closely mirror the facial bone structure the way the rest of the figure has might look even better.

Yeah looks awesome! You need to give all your wizards top hat with feathers to make them look like Witch Doctors. Anyway, can't wait to see the first unit!

I "finished" (always a couple small bits to do) a unit of 3 beastmen chariots yesterday. I feel really satisfied with the end result. The "tuskgors" are from the OK range and have been converted with sculpted armor plating to cover the saddle area. The chariots chassis started out as left overs from the high elf chariots I bought years ago for the lions. The bestial aspect includes spare horns, knives, hooks from the OK kit. The addition of additional beastmen bits removes any remaining elfishness. Cutting and scoring each individual tile for the bases was a little boring, but I really like the way the bases turned out.

I believe that means you were holding the can of primer too far away from what you were spraying, causing it to dry in the air before it got to them.

Yes, as someone who sprays 90% in White and occasionally in black - I will say you need to hold the white can closer to the model than you would a black can.

And a Blood Warrior Champion, my aim here being to use minimal red a) as red Gorechosen are ten a penny and b) hats aside, I can pass them off as generic barbarians ect in other settings and games, or add some Slaves to Darkness down the line that don't need to be Khornate:

Any thoughts welcome!
