I am starting to pad out the forces of Destruction now, with the arrival of the first Skybasha Ironjawz!

Brutes and Gore-Gruntas to come next!

Like the look of that army on the field.

An Ironjaws army is becoming more and more tempting.

The Skybashas roll on, with the 'core' of the force now complete.

Oh, and I did a painting guide for these chaps here (it really is dead simple): https://ttgamingdiary.wordpress.com/2016/11/04/the-heavy-skybashas-arrive/

Just got a few more Ardboys and a Maw-Krusha to do now, and then the army is just about complete - will have taken just two weeks, overall!

I'm very very close to a happy table top paint job for the whole tribe. Just have eye's and "hair' and to edge the bases.
I'm stumped on Hair for Ourrks. Don't really like it on my green skins. Going to look through the Bonesplittaz book a little more and see if something looks good. I'm sure there's a little more to paint that hasn't come to mind now. And of course still plan to add War Paint/ Body paint as an end goal.
I'm really pleased with how they are coming along so far. Shouldn't be but a few more days.

Remember kids, Games Workshop needs you more than you need them.

Very nice! Each and every time I see these Ironjawz models I find myself wanting to make an impulse buy!

That's a dragon and a half. Is that found in the painting guide I'm assuming? The GW painting guides sound really useful (been looking at the Deathwatch one and a few others)

Decided to finally have a go at the Slaughter Priest from White Dwarf. Did some experimenting with him, doing a no red colour scheme on him and playing with that new Valhallan Blizzard tech paint. I really like that by the way, i want to find a way to use it more.

West Michigan, deep in Whitebread, USA

Here's the start of my current project, a warband of Liberators for skirmish gaming, with a mix of weapons across the unit. I wanted to make them have more personality and look a little less like fantasy cybermen, so I am using bare-headed Space Marine heads on some of them, and the rest will get Retributor helms with the face painted in fleshtone to look more like open-faced helms. I think the added humanity makes them look eerie, because alongside other minis they look like regular people, but massive.

This is my test mini using the monopose that comes with the getting started book- I wanted more of a knightly look, so I went with a dark, bare metal, with shoulders and a shield that would look more heraldic. Still deciding on an emblem for the shoulder pad, thinking of using the four-pointed star from the Liberators, but with a black half on the green and a white half on the black.

This is my barebones conversion of the Lord Relictor, using a Retributor head and a Grey Knight standard topper, as I always thought the existing icon on the mode was ludicrously oversized. I thought after the fact that it might make a great Lord-Veritant with a weapon swap, also.

Not working for me today when I quote the above pic.

Very well painted. At first as soon as it "popped" on the screen I thought it was that jedi from Star Wars Rebels. Kidding aside like the crisp colours you put on your mini here. Very well done.

Agies Grimm:The "Learn to play, bro" mentality is mostly just a way for someone to try to shame you by implying that their metaphorical nerd-wiener is bigger than yours. Which, ironically, I think nerds do even more vehemently than jocks.

I am working on my Hurricanum finally. This is the finished crew members (the wizard who will become my new army General too). They are magnetised to the base so they can ride the Hurricanum or run around on foot (perhaps for Narrative games).

Bye bye Dakkadakka, happy hobbying! I really enjoyed my time on here. Opinions were always my own :-)

Nice work! I love how you got individual spots on the mushrooms, the magnetization is a great idea too since you can show off your work without the wizard or whatever standing in the way!

haha, thanks. One of these days I will upload a blank base just for you.

I grouped all my Wizards together for a team photo. It would be fun to play a narrative game with all these guys fighting together, don't you think!?

I like the necromancer in the corner.

"Umm, Alarielle, who's that guy? He doesn't seem quite right..."

"Oh that's just my crazy uncle Jimbo. Don't worry, he's harmless. Occasionally."

Of course the real travesty here is how those robed humanoids make it more difficult to see the excellent shading of the skulls. The contrasting yet similar color of the bone against the perfectly highlighted ground is truly something to be admired.

That scenario is ready made for you.
The Mage-nificent Seven.

Just need a village setting, lots of poor villagers who count as Victory points and a horde of raiders hell bent on killing them..
