Nice job Ryan. I liked how you named them gives them character.

Agies Grimm:The "Learn to play, bro" mentality is mostly just a way for someone to try to shame you by implying that their metaphorical nerd-wiener is bigger than yours. Which, ironically, I think nerds do even more vehemently than jocks.

Everything is made up and the points don't matter. 40K or Who's Line is it Anyway?

I finally got around to finishing up a unit for a 1000pt Gutbuster army I'm working on.

I had a few extra models lying around from my 9th Age Ogre army and I just slapped them to some round bases and done! Instant unit!
I also want to be able to use them in other armies however. Whether it's AoS, 9th Age, Kings of War....anything! So I got a nifty movement try and got them setup on that too.

Sorry for the poor quality pics. I really need to get a proper station setup to get nicer pictures out.

Bit of a 'cheat' model (it really is quick and simple to do), but I managed to polish off the Colossal Squig last night...

@Melcavuk Great so see you getting in on the AoS28 action! Here are my first set of WIPs too:

It's going to be a warband based on Greywater Fastness - I wrote more about them on my DakkaDakka blog (link). I am converting a Lord Castellant to lead them as well as one last handgunner.

We should make a thread here to get everyone involved too!

Bye bye Dakkadakka, happy hobbying! I really enjoyed my time on here. Opinions were always my own :-)

Anyhow i'm more excited to see what come up here for that!

Looking great, I've gotta wait till payday to make a decent start on henchmen. Its become a list of "models I always wanted but didn't want to start an army for". Got ideas for a decent malignant set of henchmen.

Holy Terra.

Awhile back I asked if anyone wanted to see my entire (WIP) Chaos army.

So here it is! [WARNING! Much post! Such long!]

The images are kinda bad, I took them with mah iPhone.

I have comprised a list of all the units. - After the unit's name means it is finished, * Is unpainted, # Are unit that require rebasing and ! are still unbuilt.
Azag's Legion

Shadows of the Plague Lord
Azag the Wanderer # (Custom Rules)
Der'vatch Plaguesword # (Rotbringers Sorcerer)
Ma'Dail, Herald of Rot - (Rotbringers Sorcerer)
Drach'Shien, Slayer of Giants - (Lord of Plagues)

Closeup of Azag, the bad image doesn't show of his iridescent paint job, which I have no idea how to replicate. I did it by layering 'Ardcoat and different shades over a Leadbelcher base, or something like that.

Gustav's Stuff-Stuff
Gustav the Odd * (Grey Seer)
Screaming Bell -

Gustav!! He actually started life as a very lucky Clanrat, managing to survive 4+ turns of combat while the rest of his unit died, and then ran away. So I made him a Grey Seer.

The Army of Clan Shælf
Screetch Heaglekiller # (Warlord)
Underling-ling-ling # (Chieftain)
15 Clanrats #
10 Clanrats #
10 Clanrats #
40 Clanrats !
2 Rat Ogres #
4 Rat Ogres !
20 Giant Rats !
Master Moulder #
2 Master Moulders !

This is what I have built

Underling-ling-ling, who once ended up being the last member of my army standing, facing of against a unit of Swordmasters and an Archmage. He killed the Swordmasters, survived, and was zapped be the mage (The last model left).

Heaglekiller. So named because he killed Eagles.

The Blood God's Wrath
Slaughterpriest -
10 Chaos Warriors #

The Bringers of Pestilence
Plague Priest *
10 Plague Monks*
10 Plague Monks !

Thats the first half of the army! Second half will come soon!

Working on 15 brutes for my Adepticon list. A squad of ten brutes with spears and another squad of 5 brutes with spears, i will eventually buy another box of brutes for the purpose of 2 squads of 10 brutes. But my dog ate a brute so adepticon is allowing me to proxy as long as its clear to my opponent, which if one spear guy is in a squad of double weapons it shouldn't be an issue. I plan to get a savage orruk as my buddy who plays Savages said they are similar sized. I just need a body to make him a double choppa orruk and make him like the orc that died.

Nearly 3k+ points of Slaanesh (AoS)
2500 points of Ironjawz
Too many points of Space Marines.

My current work in progress of an Alliance Death themed Sylvaneth army. Basically a group of Sylvaneth that no other groves wanted..so they banded together to make their own.

My Drycha with a new kind of "bees". I'm looking to add a few skeletal archers around her base to act as squirmlings.
Spoiler:

And a whole horde of dryads. Some have skeleton bodies while other have dryad bodies. It creates a nice blend of looks while still making them look like dryads when in groups.
Spoiler:

That beard is pretty cool, I'm not gonna lie. I'm not much of a fan of the Fyreslayers aesthetic (my favourite paintjob is an ice version), but I think they've darkened it down enough for it not to stand out. Pinkish/fair skin tones and oranges don't work well together, but darker skin is much better.

It's still not begun as I'm gathering the bits but I've got an idea for my vanguard chamber.

Leader: Lord Aquillor Ethelred Galeblade. Basically I'll add Ulrik's head to the body.

Squad 1 (AKA: My hinterlands force)

-SE with skelleton head. Kallistus Rattleheart, carrier of the astral compass.
-SE with a wolfguard terminator head. The bearded one that looks like wolverine. Torbjorn Lodbroksson (trying to make him look a bit like a duardin)
-SE with an ardboyz's head with an open face helmet Morkrod Ripniskka, shooting expert.
-SE with the eye patch goregrunta-guy, Ghuzzaska "Ghuz" Spinerippa, the squad leader.
-Two stormcasts using the geminae's heads. Minnerva and Nikke Ifraine, meelee specialists. Totally non-canon but I'd like to see this.
-A stormcast using a doomfire warlock's head, maybe the masked one if I want to make it female.
-A helmeted stormcast (yay! first head using the box bits!). Luddens the Wroth.
-A stormcast using the mohawk guy from the assault marine box, painting the earbud as some sort of bloody bandaid. Kastor Nipoulas.
-A stormcast using the unhelmeted head from the box. Varian Harkengard, the best pathfinder of the team.

Squads 2 and three.
2
-SE with Sister of Silence head. Jenetia Auvermann.
-SE with the eyepatch wearing WG terminator. Kromlech Dyfrin.
-SE with the Pallador's unhelmeted face, Massima Pebamo.
-Two no-name helmeted guys.
3
-SE with the Aquillor's top-knot head. Sesanne Valus.
-SE with a scion's helmeted face. "L'etranger"
-Three no-name helmeted guys.

And a trio of Pallador vanguards: Eddard, who will have the bearded deathbringer's head (Edd), Edward, who will have another warlock's head (Ed) and Eddythe (Eddy) which will have a female head which I'm still thinking of.

Just started a few "regiment of renown" warbands. I'm about halfway though the disciples of Tzeentch. Hoping to get it finished on Sunday.

So I started painting up some warbands that would work for both Inq28 and AoS skirmish games, but got caught up in course work and a work placement that everything got put on the shelf of shame since christmas. But Mid-term is finally here so finished off the shamed and started work on my new warband.

I've been painting this Tzeentch warband for my girlfriend. I need to finish the last base off, but I was so sick of seeing them, I wanted them off my desk. Great minis but a real pain to paint. Got some other things to paint for it, but I will probably paint up another blue horror or two first and leave the rest till we have played a game or two with them.

This is my new warband, which was inspired by 'the stranger' in Ian Millars comic of James Herberts 'the city'. I have some napsacks to add to the griffin when he is done, but putting them on now, will stop me from removing the rider to paint. (same with the reins). He has a ancient robot drone to go along with him, and I will be making him some foot crew.

When I started on my duel game warbands last year, they were meant to be fantasy/AoS but with some advanced tech (so they could be switched between systems easily) , but its been slowly evolving into one joint world/game, where it was perhaps once a high tech '40k' world that suffered not one, but two apocalyptic events. The first wouldn't have destroyed everything, so they would have still had tech to scrounge, where as a second would have put the world back to the stone age. Its feeling like if I drop the characters of Berserk in to the world of fallout. Perhaps I will rewrite it with this in mind, and drop the 40k/inq28 'only' stuff completely, as I only really want to play with AoS rules right now anyway.

I've finally finished making all 20 of my blood warriors (please excuse the room. I'm also currently decorating):

That's a healthy mix of the multi part plastics and the stater box miniatures. The fumes from the glue? They're not so healthy.

I eventually want to make that unit 30 strong, with three gore glaives and maybe a second icon bearer. I'm also still looking for a colour scheme. Instead of the usual red I'm thinking black or gunmetal instead. Or, full brass. I just don't know yet.
