I've actually managed to finish my entry just finishing the base now so will post pics tomorrow.

Trouble is i got a bit carried away with the washing, and it turns out robes are easy, smooth armour is not so much.(whites)

So it ended up at a iffy table top standard. >.>

Whites are hard. I've only ever done white cloth by hand once. Every other time I've painted mid grey and sprayed with a can or airbrush for a gradient.

Fantastic stuff from all of you! Some really splendid entries this month, it's going to be one hell of a close vote, I reckon.

As always, if you've submitted final pics then please just check they're actually in the OP and that you're tagged as finished, don't want to miss anyone!

Yet another month of outstanding entries, great job to all that have posted so far.

Here are my finished pictures, please forgive the lack of basing as I want to do something special for him when I have a bit more time.

I went for a more traditional dark and gritty paint scheme, makes a change from my normally brighter entries:

Abaddon the Despoiler

Nowhere near the level of other entries, and not the best work I've ever done, but I'm happy with it. Warmachine is table top level for me.
Looking good everyone, some amazing entries.

Lord Arcanist Ossyan, Narcissar of House Vyre.

Spoiler:

White is a 1/40 of a rupee pain.

Well, I've finished my Tau Commander, here are the (spoilered) pics:
Spoiler:

I had fun painting him and seeing my vision of my planned color scheme for all my Tau suits come to life. These pics don't really do him justice; the blue really pops in person. This is the first model that I really tried doing some edge highlighting on. Not sure drybrushing is the best way to do this, but I think I would have made even more of a mess trying to do it the other way. Overall I am happy with him as he came out to be at least tabletop standard. Looking forward to voting for this contest, as it looks like we have a lot of seriously cool minis contending for the title this month!

My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/7/24, including modeled wargear options):
Dark Angels: ~16000 Astra Militarum: ~1200 | Imperial Knights: ~2300 | Leagues of Votann: ~1300 | Tyranids: ~3400 | Stormcast Eternals: ~5000 | Kruleboyz: ~3500 | Lumineth Realm-Lords: ~700

it's not deliberate (this time). One of the commissar's in the fiction I write has a blue uniform to fit better with his regiment. The others are painted to match the colours suggested in the Commissar Workshop on Dakka.

He has the butter... tucked away under his sash; that's why he's so cheerful!
That, and he's about to put that sword through the heart of some foul xenos.

My saruman was easy as it was really obvious where to put the white due to the robe having lots of highs and lows.

Now for my entry.

Ok folks, last 24 hours or so! We've already got a rather impressive 22 entries finished, let's see if we can hit 30!

Next challenge will also go up tomorrow, another reminder that this will be a completely open challenge! So long as it fits the rules regarding proofs and number of minis you can enter it, from a single Grot (or toaster) to a 5-'model' Titan Maniple if you think you can get it done in a month...

Please, someone do a Titan Maniple! I'll accept EPIC scale ones!

My submission next month is either going to be a badly Kept Secret, or a scaly one, I think.
Possibly if I can get my hands on the Raging Heroes tech priestess, I'll give that a crack.

Hiya Guys, top quality work this month! Not been able to keep track fo the forum as much as I would like too as family stuff has got in the way, but a quick skim back shows some really nice models and paint schemes.
Managed to rush my entry out last night, not to happy with it as tried to do some OSL on the face and it went very wrong. Attempted to make it look like his face was lit from below by red light, but looks more like his armour is full of blood and he's drowning in it!
Hey Ho... Here is Calas Typhon, First Captain of the Deathguard, sans base as I didn't get time to that either.
