With the news that GW is bringing back Battlefleet Gothic (and other specialist games of course) I decided to brush the dust off my fleet. I started BFG right before GW dropped it so sadly I have only played it once. Total I have a Battleship, 4 heavy Cruisers, 10 Cruisers, 3 light Cruisers, 16 Frigates and 17 Destroyers. If GW actually brings the wonderful game back to life I will probably start a Tau fleet if they look like the awesome FW ones. If you want to see this fleet getting finished you can follow my blog tagged in my signature.

So as the title says, show off your fleet! Since models have been limited for awhile now show off your conversions and other ships that you found work well for BFG. Share what your plans are for the game, whether it is to start off fresh, continue adding to an existing fleet, start a new fleet or if you are new and have never played but want to.

I am new and never played before but I have always wanted to and can't wait to. I just picked up a few ork brute ships but I would like to convert a whole ork fleet and maybe start a tau or imperial one as well provided I can't pick one up. Will have to add some pics when the brute ships arrive and I start building and collecting stuff will have to start a thread building, converting, and painting my fleet(s) probably going to have to wait till after Christmas though lol.

this is mine, havent had a chance to add the newer ships into an up to date fleet pic but hopefully soon. my brother in law has just finished a similar sized fleet painted in the same scheme, its going to be hard to photo the whole fleet but will give it a go some time in the new year

And most recently, The Majestic class battleship The Golden Fool warps in.....

really hoping that a bfg revamp doesnt change scale as that would be a bit more than slightly annoying hoping to get my scratchbuild escorts finished next year some time, then on to marines and/or chaos/eldar/nids

That's my big fear as well, them changing scale... They don't have to worry about me buying more ships. I still want an Eldar and Space Marine flee to go with my Imperial one.

Personally, I can't see them changing the scale of BFG. New players might not care, but it would kill off any potential sales to old players.

Oh I really hope they don't try to change the scale. It wont affect my Imperials much since I'm pretty sure I don't need anymore, but I would rather a new fleet be the same scale as my current one.

@ Radu Lykan. That is a nice fleet. I really like the conversions and the color scheme.

Nice fleet. I'm not sure I need a new BFG, as the original game is still very, very good. Epic Orders and all.

I've got Imperial and Chaos fleets buillt & painted, but it's been a while since last we played, so no pics handy.

However, if GW relaunches, I'll use that as an excuse to finally build the Eldar fleet I've collected (and is now collecting dust).

Death Guard Nurgle fleet.

Repulsive detail

Have added a couple of Desolators and some transports since the fleet photo was taken. Many of the weapons bays are magnetized. Some magnetized weapons modules shown at the bottom of the pic.

suitably slimy would some gloss varnish here and there add to the gribbliness?
really need to make some transports myself, such an overlooked part of most fleets

These fleets are stunning! Lucky that I just got back into making a BFG fleet (Started A ship a year ago and lost inspiration...) now that they are bringing it back. Can't wait!

Here is my WIP Tau fleet (Kitbashed of course!) right off the assembly line:

I am crossing my fingers for BFG being relaunched too. Would be nice to get a Chaos fleet but I wonder if the entire model line will be changed rather then simply reintoduced? Hum.

Here's a shot of my old fleet of Imperials:

And here was the fleet before I trimmed them down a bit for space and funds:

My scratchbuilt Ork Pirates:

I found scratchbuilding and converting ships great fun, I really loved BFG for that. I need to revisit my fleets, I have a few ships that never saw the light of Dakka somewhere.

Thanks! Shiny is not going to be seen at this scale, so no gloss varnish. There is a tiny bit of semi-gloss shiny from some of the washes and I think that is enough.

This thread inspired me to visit my BFG shelf of shame in my gaming room, part of a collection of various shelves of shame for projects unfinished or awaiting attention. See what you can spot!

Actually, now I have moved house and got my gaming space back again, part of my new year's resolution is to start working through the 'to-do' pile.

Oh, "Forbidden Stars". Too bad the cruisers are the wrong scale.

Some really cool looking fleets. I just need work to slow down some so I can get back to working on mine.
