Not to mention that they're probably not the best ordnance specialists considering the make-up of the force is rebels... But I could be wrong. I imagine scattered firing, some shots not even making land and others even glancing the shore line. Still, could be wrong.
Well I am witing on Cogger to move my Guard and working on my Marine intro post still.
"We have all and none. Death better come to the other bastard first." - SSG Alton, 19th Valerian Light Infantry Regiment
"With iron and fire the beast shall be lain low at the hands of the Hunters whose home is under the Bloodmoon." - Bloodmoon Hunters Chapter
"Bring on the Angels of Blood and Darkness as thy descend from the heavens to smite our enemies. Let the Wolves of war rend and tear our foes to pieces. And we of the Bloodmoon Hunters shall bring the iron and fire as our vehicles crush all that oppose us under our treads." - Tech-Captain of the Bloodmoon Hunters
My 40k Armies:
Bloodmoon Hunters (Iron Hands Successors)
Lunar Venatorii Regiments (Astra Miltarium)
Mjior Prime Expediton (Skitarii/Admech)
Ordo Machinum (Inquisition)
My Cultists are untrained, my original force of Renegades and what not are actually very well trained considering that they do this for a living, and Cultists don't get to play with the big guns

Y'know, wouldn't a large chunk of your forces going dark be a good reason for the big guns to get sent in to sort out the mess? Obviously EoN is still busy, and there's no changing that for the time being, but Cogger could be an excuse for the Flayed Lord to show up with some reinforcements.

Good idea Blackjack but the Flayed lord is EoN's territory and if he doesn't wanna return then neither will the Flayed legion. At least that is what I presume
Sgt. Vanden I bet Irish can do that by flashing his bear chest.
Sgt. Vanden Irish is the definition of a Dutch oven
I know, I was just making a suggestion for it to be an easier way for him to pick the mantle back up, and have less of a mess to clean up with the survivors. Obviously, it's up to EoN and EoN alone to make the decision if that will happen.

So, I gotta create two entirely new posts so it'll be a few days, maybe three at best before anything is dropped. I re-insert another post where the other was removed and drop another one at the same time. I already informed Gore to post and do whatever since I don't want him to be stuck on this bum. Hehe
Goodluck, it'll be atleast a week for me to get something out.

Hmm... So, I'm starring at this hate mail saying 'Your writing is so terrible my five year old son lost his ability to read'. Well good sir, you've yet to read my glorious tale about the Tsunami of Snapping turtles terrorizing the human race! SHARKNADO STEP ASIDE, I got this. Hehe

Doesn't matter who said. I like to think if some one truly enjoys what they do any outside criticism doesn't even matter. I'm on another site where I post my own original things and there are just unpleasant folks out there. Personally, damning his own son to a life of illiteracy is his issue, not mine... But I'm sure it's a fun little statement.

I'm going to have to disagree with you on that one. I genuinely believe Alpharius/Omegon would be a better choice. Not only are they two people but wickedly sly. Guilliman, great as he is would crumble under the sheer amount of corruption within the Imperium. I can't see him surviving the first few decades. Alpharius/Omegon, that's their playground. One plays face while the other sifts out the endless amounts of major corruption. Where the Imperium stands now, it seems only fitting they take the reigns. Maybe if things were more stabilized Guilliman would be the ideal candidate but right now it just feels wrong.... But that's just my opinion.
Edit: Also, I like the idea of him never knowing his father but picking up the remains of his once great Imperium. Of all the sons, it's Alpharius and Omegon who return when the Imperium needs them most. Tragic yet beautiful.

Wait, we're including traitors?
Horus then, if he's not tainted by Chaos. There's a reason the Emperor chose him.
If we're not including Horus in an uncorrupted form, I still say Guilliman. He wielded power over the first High Lords (hell, he WAS the first High Lord), and had the largest and most stable sub-Empire of all the Primarchs, or even the Imperium in general. He could have commanded the Imperium for a good time - he's a Primarch: he could have exerted a hell of a lot of power over the other High Lords, not to mention most, if not all, Chapters of Astartes would be his to command, as a living Primarch, and the Guardsmen would also like how he follows ideals of Meritocracy (fight for me hardest, and you will be rewarded!) Ultramar still stands - can any other sub-Empire claim the same quality and still have stood from the 31st Millenium?
Alph/Om are good, but they lack stability, which the Imperium needs. They would root out the heretic cults, depose the faulty parts of the Imperial machine, but not put it together again. They'd leave the Imperium cleaner, but fragmented, which is not what the Imperium needs. Guilliman is sly politically - he managed to politically maneuver so well he forced DORN, the most stubborn Primarch, to accept his Codex. He engineered the Imperium Secundus, despite Lion opposing.
Out of all the sons who would have the most gravitas returning, it would be Magnus (or resurrected Horus) - Magnus for being spurned and cast aside by treachery, or Horus for actually BEING the Emperor's favoured Son, and fixing his mistakes.
Anyways: Part two is up, and I had a lot of fun writing it.

In the Warp, getting trolled by Tactical_Spam, AKA TZEENTCH INCARNATE
CKO wrote: What is this monstrosity of a thread? What is going on around here?
This beautiful monstrosity is the Out-Of-Character thread for the ongoing Crusade of Fury, which is a collective-writing project here on Dakka. It is also the reason why few leave the Fiction section on Dakka with their sanity intact.
In short, this is where all the writers discuss events in the Crusade, plan their next moves and sh*t talk one another. The reason it's so unreasonably long is because of the aforementioned sh*t-talking, and because this thread has been going strong since the first Crusade, which ended months ago.
I hope that's a satisfying answer
Tactical_Spam: Ezra is fighting reality right now.
War Kitten: Vanden, you just taunted the Dank Lord Ezra. Prepare for seven years of fighting reality...
War Kitten: Ezra can steal reality
Kharne the Befriender:Took him seven years but he got it wrangled down

This is the OOC for the Crusade of Fury II: Second Sun (following after the first CoF), which lets you insert a faction into a collaborative writing platform set in the 40k universe. (*Yes, I have no idea why it's called that. Ask one of the mind-fethers)
It's meant to be where we can organise and discuss events of the CoF2, but it... EVOLVED. Instead, you will never find such a wretched hive of scum and villainy, and smack-talk, memes, and general oddness.
Any questions of joining will be passed to 2BlackJack1, our resident greeter, or our GM's: chazz huggins and Tactical_Spam.
Please leave your sanity at the door. Here be dragons. In the grim dankness of the CoF, there is only memes.

Any Primarch is applicable to come to the Imperium's aid as it stands now; that is the rule.
Now think, a benevolent political power like Guilliman in the current era of the Imperium? Of everything he's done it's usually been by the books and without selfish intent, or so I've read. A character of such immense influence would not be allowed to live, not even with every Chapter at his back. The schisms created in his wake would be unimaginable. The conflicts of interest could very well result in dozens, if not hundreds of successions taking place one after the other after each statement, new doctrine, rewritten policies... And the Imperial Cult, now there's another disaster in the making. His power moves against so many organizations wouldn't end well. Such a powerful institution would be quick to proclaim Guilliman a fraud, anything to subvert him. That's the beating heart and soul of corruption and influence that's sewn into the minds of almost every Imperial. Few know the origins of the Primarchs as it would be heretical to even contemplate that the Emperor's very children dare attempt usurping him. Even with the Space Marines, the beginning of Guilliman's new Imperial wouldn't begin and maybe not even end well.... Again, my own beliefs.
Yes, I'm not going to argue that Alpharius and Omegon wouldn't have the skills needed for such grand political feats, if anything they'd set the stage for such feats to transpire. The cleaner and fragmented Imperium could and would be pieced back together just not by them. They're so intertwined in these webs of corruption that they alone could find such purest individuals who wouldn't step into such webs... Unless needed. Honestly, it'd probably be an entire century before the stage was set but in the aftermath, a whole new Imperium would rise cleaner and purer than the previous.
To me, Guilliman is the gamble while Alpharius.Omegon are the long term guarantee.
Please leave your sanity at the door.
Here be dragons.

This is how I enter this crusade, please give me instructions so I can explain how losing your sanity is one of the things you must lose so that no one including yourself can fathom the type of power you have!
Another bluefoot, eh? Well, in that case: Welcome to the Crusade!
Step 1: Pick a faction you would like to write about. We have just about everything, from filthy heretics to humanoid shark marines that eat the corpses of their enemies. Bon appetite. We have a roster at the first page of this thread to see what's already being run, but feel free to do doubles.
Step 2: Looking on the first page of the CoF SS thread, you'll find some maps. Those will show where current factions have their HQ's at. Pick somewhere you would like your faction to start at.
Step 3: PM Tactical Spam a description of your army, so he can update the roster. Quick and simple.
Step 4: Plan your next move. Chazz is the GM of Crion, while TS is the GM of the moons. We use a roll system, similar to D&D, of 1-100. Think of your first step, be it slaying down orks, Imperials, or just building up a feth huge base, that is up to you. Give a PM to the respective GM of your location, a description of your first move, and a roll of 1-100. They'll give you a roll result of how well it goes, the closer your roll is to the roll result defines how well you do.
Step 5: Enjoy yourself, and don't mind the bird men. They're only interested in business deals.
