Kustomer D Dio looks brilliant , I am a fan of all things Ork, serves the marine right for not wearing his helmet.

Great work on your Meganoobs Mootlet, the weathered Yellow really looks very good.

I just get sighs from the wife now when she catches me doing something odd with the hobby.

A small WIP Pic, only managed base coat on the model so far

Our poor wives, mine was with me at the shops when i had to get more ky jelly (it's an amazing greenstuff mold release). She just asked if i had some kind of party planned.

Got my entry glued together after painting in parts. Bit of an issue with that, so he needs a chunk of touching up. But WIP:

Very nice. Love how clean everything is!

I took Fulgrim on holiday with me, then brought him back again without doing any work.
Some kind of super ennui at the moment.

Thank you
Guardsmen are there as "scenery" objects.

If you are interested in their camo, this might help you.

Five down, five to go:

Now I need to do the other five men, and do all the bases. As I've repeatedly said, I will then select the best looking ones and put them together as my official entry into this thing. Loving everything I'm seeing thus far, should be a pretty good set of entries come voting time!

My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/7/24, including modeled wargear options):
Dark Angels: ~16000 Astra Militarum: ~1200 | Imperial Knights: ~2300 | Leagues of Votann: ~1300 | Tyranids: ~3400 | Stormcast Eternals: ~5000 | Kruleboyz: ~3500 | Lumineth Realm-Lords: ~700

@Hawky, how do you make the snow? Looks gorgeous!

Dry snow:
Put 1-2mm thick layer of water-based glue to the base, bury it in the GW's snow, push the snow into the base, let it dry, shrug off the excessive snow and done.

Wet or Frozen snow:
Mix the snow with the glue and thin it with water. It should have similiar consistency as Nutella. Not too liquid, not too tough. Put it where you want it and then let it dry.
If you put thick layer of it, then pour a bit of the snow over it, it looks like deep snow.

Shoveled snow
Use the same technique as for wet snow, but don't thin it. It will form lumps and it looks like snow which has been manipulated.

Hope it helps Don't forget to make footprints!

I don't even know what kit it is, just that it looks kind of like a carnifex with a really nasty mouth grabber set up. My tyranid expertise only goes till about 3-4th edition.

Right or wrong it looks very gribbly and awesome

Ahh, yeah it's a sweet model. That is the haruspex.

I've got the base drying too, trying new materials.

I also had no idea this was leviathan paint scheme.

great painting Nevlon, very clean and precise. I love Garreth Steel too. Cloak is just awesomeness. Ustrello those... whatever they are, look badass, love the flesh colour you've done.. sends chills down my spine.

As for the KY jelly story, I've never heard the euphemism "mould release agent" before ;-)

As for the kind comments on the meganobz, a couple of days before they were finished I thought they were about to turn into a real disaster. I hate the skulls and teeth in the pictures, way too white (they don't seem that white in person). Anyone any tips on how they do bone/teeth? I usually start with zandri dust, agrax earthshade, then layer ushabti bone then a little white. When I thin the white as much as I'd like it become really bitty, so I usually end up using it too thickly.

Theme ideas for next month needed! Any suggestions?

Need to figure out what to enter myself, now I think about it. I have assorted Command Squad members in various stages of completion that could fit the bill (and that I did remember to take Proof pics for), but there's nothing overly special about them... We'll see. Things have been pretty hectic as it's exam month, but the last one is tomorrow so I've then got some more free time.

Puny and weak: Small minis, like Grotz.
Big and Strong: Big minis, like monstrous creatures or a Warboss or someone that's big and strong
Ranged Attack: Direct opposite of this month's challenge. A flash git, for example.
All themes from challenges 1-9 and 11 (10 excluded because it was an open challenge): You probably know what that means.

Thoughts?

INSANE army lists still available!!!! Now being written in 8th edition format! I have Index Imperium 1, Index Imperium 2, Index Xenos 2, Codex Orks Codex Tyranids, Codex Blood Angels and Codex Space Marines!
PM me for an INSANE (100K+ points) if you desire.

I’m a fan of opposites, so “Death from Afar” although "Death from Above” is a little more classic.
