That berserker is beyond cool

People are doing well. I am as always lagging behind. Have managed a fair bit of progress. But nothing seems to be getting finished. Keep hopping from model to model. It's a real bane of batch painting. Nothing seems to ever get done and then all of a sudden bam another 20 odd models are done.

This month has been really hard for me due to work. Hardly had any hobby time. I am working on this months goal of a this is not a test warband but I am not confident it will get finished by the end of the month.

I feel that Carlos, progress has been slow as I have been working and painting up a lot of Alpha Legion/ Deathwatch Overkill. Late, but here is my proof:

Originally I envisioned it as motivating people to help start/finish armies or forces in a more focused manner, and I'm still trying to make myself get stuff done on task so I can put Gondor behind me eventually, but I'm quite happy if it helps to encourage people to paint and get projects finished that are meaningful to them. So I've edited your goals.

My monthly output, although only the Epic stuff and the guy on the larger base was fully painted, everything else was washed and based.

Looks good, mate. Remember, it's about finishing stuff, not only start-to-finish (which is welcome of course, but models and the completion of units bleeds over from month to month, and that's fine).

I probably should have posted it in here sooner, but here's my completed March challenge.

Been a bit unwell and also obsessed with Dark Souls, but I put a few hours in yesterday to get the villains from Wrath of Ashardalon finished. Still need to do the heroes, but this puts me over the 100 minis mark for the year so far. Will try to get the heroes done today - a bit tired of the set now and ready to move on.

After the heroes, the Descent core game is next on my hitlist. Then I'll either do Space Hulk, or take a break from board games and work on an army project.

I've got the Core Game and 1 expansion right now. So I might break it down a bit into smaller chunks than "1 game, 1 month" like I've been doing for.

I've got a lot on in April so I might not be as productive.

I am tempted to get another expansion though! Heh. As always.

March is trotting along and have got the main part of what I wanted to get done....well done! The 'Dust Dogs' and Brother Goriel are now finished. I doubt if Kranon is going to get any love this month...just not in the mood for him. Will try and get Turmiel and the Spyrer finished this week. Here's what I got done so far. There's more detailed photos of the 'Dogs over on my AdMech page.

Love the terminator, especially the busted lens.

An updated group shot of all the D&D minis I did in March. I added an Orc to the mix. His weapons are all colorful because that's how I indicate to my players that the weapons are magical or special in some way.

Well, did finally get my three Russ tanks all done, aside from the decals and the vision blocks / search lights, need to get a new dropper of Vallejo for that. However, another step closer to my trip to the UK. Only things left to do now is paint up the tank commander and banner for the Vanquisher, then stick together and paint a Dracosan armoured transport, Malcador with battle cannon & demolisher cannon combo and a Malcador Infernus with magnetized trailer before the 14th of April. I may have made a grave error on my end here.. But it would be a good way to make up for not being as active as I wanted to be back in February.

Following up managing to finish 2 units for Gondor this month, I managed to finish 2 units for the Undead as well. Hurrah!

Well, they can be run as either 2 Regiments or a single Horde in KoW, but I'm counting it as two, since they both have leaders, musicians and (sort of) their own heraldry. More here or lots more here.


I may be able to finish one more Gondor unit as well, since it only involves completing two models, and all that's left to do is highlighting their black clothing... it's just painful and off-putting to paint them, and it'd make a very quick tick for April if I waited until Friday to finish them - but that'd feel too much like cheating myself since there's only the pair of them...

Pretty sure I am failing miserably this month. Just have very little spare time to paint not that my commute is doubled. Will still make an effort to get the tribals finished though. They have been started but a lot more work is required.

Got my Bane Thralls done, sadly that's all I've managed this month though. Uni mid-term break starts next week though, and I've finished all my assignments for a while now, so I'll be able to get a lot more done. Next month I aim to get my Skaven finished (already somewhat underway), paint my Unit Attachments for the Banes, and complete the last of my 30k Dark Angel models, a 5 man Heavy Bolter support squad.

Finished a Chaos Lord for use as a big bad-guy in my upcoming D&D game.

Nice work, Ulf. They look great. If I could be just a little nit-picky, though, some liquid greenstuff to fill in the joins on the Fleshound would make the whole thing look that much better as a model.

So, can I just push what would have been my March goal into April since I really did not have time/energy to paint in March?

Yeah, you're not wrong. I think I'm painting under too bright of a light. That flaw wasn't that obvious to me until I put it in the lightbox. But yeah, for sure, and I'm gonna keep an eye out for that in future models.

No problem. We all know that gak happens and sometimes for many reasons we might not get anything finished or even paint at all for extended periods of time. If you can get 2 goals into April even better! (But it's all for your own collection in the end, so whatever works for you.)

Ulf - you're going to have to update that group shot again now! I won't update the OP wiht your stuff until after the 31st, since you'll probably have 2 or 4 more models done by then.
