I saw this on faeit 212 and thought it was a spectacular enough deal to merit a thread here.

They should be about $75 retail or at least $50+ discounted. Even if you only want 2 of those brushes, that's a spectacular deal. The Size 3 in particular is quite expensive.

Downside: it doesn't ship until March-April. And if you don't have Amazon Prime, you have to order over $35 to get the free shipping (ie you must order 2 sets). But it's Amazon Prime, so it's essentially risk free. You won't bet billed until they ship it, and if you don't like it (or if it never gets delivered, etc.), they'll pay for the shipping to send it back to Amazon.

Anyways, love them or not, it's as good a deal on paintbrushes as I've ever seen. I ordered 3 sets Get 'em before they fix it

Note: For the $17.50 price, the SELLER is actually Amazon, not some third party selling on Amazon. In the past, when this has happened on other stuff, even when the price was outrageously low (like a pricing error), they honored my purchase price. No guarantees of course, but we can hope. 3 sets would probably would be all the size 2 and 3's I'd need for the next 10+ years!

Just ordered my set paid $42 AUD to have them shipped out here.

I was however actually billed, so make sure you have the cash floating around.

On the Canadian Amazon site that set is a cool $185 bucks....so I think I'll.order from the US site lol

Sweet thanks for the link! I just got a bunch of very nice Vallejo brushes for Christmas, but they are very fine detail ones. It will be good to have these larger ones... especially this level of quality for this low of a price! Cost a solid $25 USD shipped to Canada.

Thanks Talys, that is a great find. Just ordered 4 so I'm covered. Never bought any W & N 7, I have some W & N Cotman series that I can get at Hobby Lobby. They are pretty good, so I'm sure I'll love these Series 7's even more.

Looks like they're out of stock now, says "usually ships in 1 to 4 months"., which I usually interpret as "we have no idea when these are coming back in stock".

Mine is being delivered to the USA (I have an address there), and it says:

Arriving: Wednesday, March 9 - Friday, April 22

I'm not sure if it's billed my credit card or not. Winter said it did, so I suspect it'd be the same for me. However, the product is being sold and shipped by Amazon, so it's really risk-free. You can cancel it at any time before it's shipped, get a refund if you didn't receive it, and you can return it afterwards for a month for any reason -- for example, if these turn out to be knockoffs, or something.

I don't think that knockoffs would go into a W&N box, though. I mean, it's a lot of effort to make a fake W&N boxes (I have one -- they are actually pretty fancy), just to sell $17.50 worth of paintbrushes. It'd be way easier to just sell singles if they were fakes, and at a price that was like, 50% off.

If they did bill my credit card, I'm happy about it. It makes it much less likely that Amazon would try to tell me after that they underpriced it and wiggle out of it.

Yeah that's what mine says as well, shipping to Australia. I don't have a lot of experience with Amazon (only bought a few car parts through it while I was living in Pennsylvania), but my understanding was when it gave 1-4 months it meant it was out of stock and they didn't know how long until it would be back in stock or if it would be at all.

Hahahaha this is very true. However, the box is unnecessary, as W&N S7's normally come in plastic tubes with white printing and black end caps. It's only the multi-brush gift boxes where the format is the box, and the box is made like a jewelry box for a bracelet, with puffy velvet material inside. Incidentally, they *are* very nice presentation for a gift.
