That's just a sneak peek for Backstagers, it's not been publicly announced yet.

I mean, Kanluwen says plenty of fine things and some...odd things too.

But then, so don't most of us?

Fair enough. You've got a point there.
He does seem to have almost equal levels of new information and old opinion.
I just happened to exalt the latter, but let's say it's for the admittedly valuable part of his output and move on, by chance being marginally better people then we were a minute ago.
I like that. Thx.

That image also reminds me - I'm about to buy the Achilles combo box, but only want the regular version. If someone in the USA wants to split it with me for the 'limited' one, PM me!
I honestly had no idea the box came with two miniatures outright. I just assumed that it was an alternate set of limbs and only one body. That somewhat explains the price when you look it up.

For the aforementioned gimmick of Achiles +Patroclus, having two may actually be useful.

I'd be very surprised if CB boxed a single non TAG mini. I think the days of 2 in a blister are gone though :(

Yeah, the equivalent of "Are we there yet?"

Kasym Beg also has a dismounted mini.

I'm thinking of picking up some Jaguars to modify as dismounted Kum bikers.

Dismounted bikers should definitely be on the to do list IMO.

I stand corrected.

Jaguars would make pretty good dismounted Kum.

I had completely forgotten about Kasym, which tells you what I think of the mini.

Prospect of the online campaign seems very cool, looking forward to seeing what they come up with for that !

What would be even more cool is if whatever happens in this campaign gets written into the actual game background at some point.

Like the Abaddon crusade from 40k years ago *cough*

the Mothership...

An online worldwide tabletop minis campaign? I haven't participated in one of those for over a decade. I guess the equivalent for this one (if it followed the same path) would be if the whole thing just ended up being a VR simulation if the ending doesn't go the way CB intended. I hope CB puts a bit more thought into the various possible endings to make them permanent and meaningful unlike Abbadon's 13th Crusade or Mass Effect 3.

Of course running anything like these days, CB have got a great opportunity with the tech available. The whole thing can be really inclusive.

Think with the 13th Crusade it was all written submissions to GW, and a couple of (admittedly very entertaining and chaotic) message boards.

Looking forward to it!
No need for it to be sphere shaking in it's impact IMO, that's not really what Infinity is about.

What happened with Abaddon's Crusade actually did make it into the fluff(read "Cadian Blood" sometime--it's set post-13th Black Crusade by a manner of months).

In the case of this "campaign", BoW has said they're using it as a testing bed for a "modular campaign system" so they can run campaigns for multiple systems via their website. The specific premise of the Infinity Campaign is quite literally the same idea as the Medusa V campaign that GW ran awhile back, where it's one specific locale(an island chain on Dawn or Paradiso, can't remember off the top of my head) that they can do whatever to without it being a significant background changer and in a way that any/all factions can participate.

Yeah, but people don't understand that. They want to feel like what they did mattered.

Or something.

I so read that wrong.

Anyhoo, I heard a theory taht the 'mind the gap' comment from Carlos was a sly hint at the PanO Blackfirars. Any word on that?

The galaxy is littered with the single-planet graveyards of civilisations which made the economically sensible decision not to explore space.

Do we know which is the limit-ed Achilles; the swordsman or the headmaster?

Or is the general release Achilles 2.0 going to be an as-yet undisclosed third pose?

I'm hoping for the swordsman. Looks like a nice centrepiece model.

I believe the one with the severed Morat head is the Limited Edition model.

Thanks. I'll just wait and pick up the general release model, then, rather than trying to get a head start.

Truthfully, given the prices of similar sized models(Sogarat are $18.90 MSRP), you are better off buying the "limited edition" box instead.

And I could always sell the LE one. Still, I'm on a tight budget at the mo', so I'll just hold on for the next release.

Bear in mind then that when they do a "prerelease" like they're doing here, it can be anywhere from months to years.

Achilles official release, according to the CB Facebook, will be January 26. Now, to wait for that, and the distribution to the US, and then sent out from the various websites...

Achilles has been up for preorder for quite some time.

That's when CB is going to start selling him through their webstore.

Jan 26th is the date it's going up on the CB webstore.

Retailer stock has already been distributed, my stock turned up on Wednesday and went out to customers the same day, but obviously you're going to have to wait a little longer in the US.

EDIT - I thought I'd refreshed the page...
