Nobody knows. It was optimistically pegged for the holidays, but they just did the last photos in January. Bostria tweeted earlier that he was going to BoW to do some videos so probably soon.

Conservative estimate is March for preorders, April/May for release. Preorders for CB though are the dumbest thing you can imagine, as they count stores ordering their stock as "preorders". You can usually still find stuff with the preorder models months after release.

Well, now we know who the combat heels belonged to. That means that the TAG looking leg definitely belongs to the Su Jian.

I just know that if I preorder the book, it'll be like the last few preorders where I scramble to get it, it sells out everywhere, and then once it releases, Miniature Market will have it half off within a month.

I don't think that's the combat heels model. We haven't got a good look, but the dirt splatters gave the impression of a larger model. And the dirt was, again, red. This dirt is a dark brown.

Either way, if it's the pre order mini, sign me up. Looks great. If nothing else, another model for potential RPG use.

I'm pretty convinced that the heels match the tv-model.

According to Bostria in the BoW weekender video, HSN3 will be available at Adepticon, so I assume preorders will go up soonish (they usually do a month preorders right?)

Adepticon is 31 March to 3 April this year. Will this be like with the Icestorm release, which was available early at GenCon and then only shipped out later (much later in some cases)?

For a month of pre-orders, we should see the announcement this coming week. We've seen the pre-order mini, so I suspect that we will get the full announcement. Finally, the transformation to N3 will be completed. I wonder what will link teams end up like?

Is there much of an Infinity presence at Adepticon? I was under the impression that it was strongly 40k, with little else. But with the current state of the 40k game, at least as it has been to me explained, I suspect that Adepticon management may want to diversify.

At 41:41 he says "I will be happy to sign your super cool new rulebook... if that happens..." That's not an announcement of HSN3 being there, yet.

Wyrd Miniatures is going to have a booth at Adepticon this year. So is CB. Privateer Press had pre-release models last year, and probably will again this year.

40k is still a big thing at Adepticon, but you can go to it, and not play a single game produced by Games Workshop the whole week. So the "with little else" hasn't been true for a few years, at least.

Well, something really fickle.

Lately we've basically been getting a huge image dump in the last week of the month. Either they're not giving out many to websites as previews anymore, or those websites just aren't bothering to do the previews anymore.

I'm going with the latter, because Data Sphere were given a preview and did it on time. So they're obviously still giving previews out. So deadbeat websites not putting the previews up is my guess.

At this point, I think CB should just do the regular previews on their website a day or two after a website is meant to do the preview rather than wait for the end of the month. If they're going to be a deadbeat and not show it, just do it yourself.

I offered to have Dakka Dakka be one of those 'preview websites' for monthly previews, but they stated that they only wanted to use websites that were more 'video oriented'.

They were certainly polite about it, but I'll admit, I'm not sure what they were getting from that vs. what Dakka Dakka could offer in terms of eyeballs on product!

Honestly I don't know what to think.

They just cultivated a new partner in the form of that "Guerilla Games" or whatever. He was pretty damn good about having his previews up on time. Far better than BoW--who Bostria was just recently in studio with, or the Spanish blog site whose name eludes me that they started giving previews to as well recently.

I don't get it either. With video compression, a HD video is going to look worse than a simple high res image anyway. They want to show their stuff in the best light, they should be prioritising websites that's don't do them as video previews.

And yeah, if they want high volume websites to get the game known more, it's pretty crazy turning down an offer from Dakka.

It's been my experience from video previews that that doesn't happen. People don't share the video, they just take screengrabs and post those on facebook/forums.

I prefer the high quality pictures but if the video promises a 360 degree spin I will happily watch it. Sadly not likely to be possible if they are just sent images as suggested.

I really wish they wouldn't do videos like that. They're really annoying.

Speaking of videos.., there's gonna be a BoW preview today, and the rest shown Thursday according to Koni on the official forum. But yeah I'd prefer still photo previews to the videos. If nothing else because my signal at work is rubbish and photos load quicker than videos.

The photos still get released by Giraldez and Corvus Belli on their respective Facebook pages within 24hr of the news outlet videos being released. Seems to be within the news outlets' interest to keep them a video with their own 'touch' to attract viewers, and then CB/Giraldez releases the studio photos to make it official.

I think it's amazing. I've been wanting a YJ robot tiger since I saw the concept art for the tiger shaped REM in the art book.
