These are the three that haven't been shown already.

Stingrays and Wu Ming win the cake for me. I don't care too much for the rest (they're well done, though), and the Foxtrot looks like she's doing anything but fire a shotgun in combat.

Am I the only one who likes her?

which IMHO all are better. And as I have two of the first (present), I'd rather convert that one.

I don't overly like the new one, but I vastly prefer it to the old female one.

I dunno... bare midriff and all, she still looks like she's doing something sensible (that apparently being stepping out of the tarp).

She could certainly be a lot better, though. And so could the new one (and clothing is better already!).

If only she were some kind of scout/skirmisher...

The pose actually makes sense if you think of her not as firing in combat, but rather getting the drop on someone and covering them with the shotgun.

@Kan, that's kind of what I was thinking about that pose.

It might be pretty easy to swap her gun out for a rifle also.

I wasn't a fan of the Ranger when I saw her render. Her proportions seemed off to me. Like her legs were too long or something. The final product looks much nicer to me now though. She's definitely growing on me.

I really like the Kaauri. I don't think their paintjob is quite up to Angel's standard, but I really like them. They definitely are not Tohaa. I'm very interested in seeing their fluff.

Tikbalang looks good, but I don't like the Uhlan's pose or tactical detritus. I would have preferred a more tactical pose, like aiming its gun over whatever the hell it's supposed to be doing.

The Uhlan is standing on tactical debris with an Uhlan logo on it. So tacticool.

Plus, it's a box of two? All that bitching and moaning by you all made me assume it would be a box with a single body and parts to build a Tikbalang or Uhlan. This is fine, and you whiners can just choke-on-it.

The whining by most people, was because it's one of each and not 2 of the same.

One is for one sectorial and the other, a different sectorial. So if you play one and not the other, you're getting something you can't use.

Though, if you run the dreaded Vanilla army, you can indeed run both.

Love the Wu Ming (probably my fave of this month) and great now the best-named unit has a miniature in Infinity with the Tikbalang.

Actually, you can imagine her doing that and saying what you have listed as your location Kan

The base of the Tik shouldn't be too hard to clean up, thankfully.

However, I'm not looking forward to how much work is going to have to go into making an acceptable Uhlan.

It looks like the front foot could be pinned to the actual base, and the mini would appear to be steeping forward. Balancing it may be interesting. I think maybe the tactical rubble is a digital sculpting *crutch* because the sculptor has no way to tell if, or how well, a given one foot down pose will balance well in Real Life™. This was not a problem before. The few one foot down poses all have the up foot very close to the down leg (see the Druza hacker, for example)

This is a game about shooting, not taking prisoners, er, "getting the drop" on someone. It is a boring mini, that Foxtrot, visually. Something that afflicts many of the new USAriadna range. No matter, it appeals to some. And that is the point, to have a broad range to appeal to all the various tastes out there. Oddly, the posture reminds me a bit of Scylla, sort of like a mirror image...


I'd like to see the box contents on the Tikuhlans, to see how hard/easy it is to avoid those *base enhancements* before I commit to buying it. I'd rather switch poses for the two, TBH.

Nice minis for the most part. Really bright painting on those kaauri. I like it. The TAGs really are nice. The Wu Ming too.

Wow, those poses are near identical. I'm just going to take it that Scylla is just that foxtrot's Lhost after she's killed.

I'd even go out on a limb and say they reused the mannequin.

Yyyyeeesssss. Bring on a Haqqislam vs Yu Jing starter.

Far left looks like a Khawarij. Second from the left and far right could be Ghulam. Middle oddly looks like an Odalisque. Second from the right, maybe a Hunzakut. Lacking a sixth model is strange.

But why only five dudes?

Yeah, like I said, strange. Maybe there's something they don't want to give the silhouette away for just yet? Five is odd because it doesn't match any packaging methods so far.

It won't be an Odalisque. There is already one in the QK box. Maybe it is the Tuareg in the center. That would be cool. Khawarij on the far right, a ghulam 2nd from right. Far left is a ghulam, in the classic Ghulam infantry woman pose from the current starter. 2nd from left baffles me. I see no HI silhouette either. So we have 2 missing units*, or the ghulam represents all 3 in the box, in which case 2nd from right is HI. Doesn't look very Janissary though. The Ayyar?

Not a fan of the whole "avenging" thing though. Not professional at all. And more than a bit hokey.

GenCon is 4-7 August this year, so 40 days away. We'll get all the juicy details about this sooner, rather than later. GPre-order for Icestorm was 17 days in advance of GenCon. Pre-order for this ought to be about the same, so it'll start maybe 18 July?

*because there will be a 7th mini, the box only mini.

The YJ side showed all three Zhanshi though, so I dunno why they'd only show 2 to cover all the Ghulam. 2nd from the right isn't big enough to be a HI, looks more like a MI - Djanbazan?

Saw mentioned the middle could be a Tuareg. Doubt a Zhayedan will be in a generic starter. I'm expecting them as the infantry in the Al Medinat starter. I'm still going with a resculpt male Hunzakut.

Djanbazan sniper is in the QK box. I doubt there will be a Djanbazan in this box. The Khawarij was the MI equivalent in the first starter, the naffatun LFT in the second. I suspect the Khawarij is the the MI equivalent here again.

The Djanbazan need a resculpt, and it wouldn't surprise me if we got a resculpted Hassassin Bahram starter at some point, especially if they do redo the Djanbazan. Khawarij are LI anyway.
