It's not actually a character TAG as far as we know.

Toni's dead. Dead, dead, dead, dead, dead. Brain fried omelette dead. The whole "ALIVE" thing seems to be trying to backpedal that, but if so it's going to blow up in their face because one of the FAQs for Human Sphere was "Is Toni really dead?"(or something to that effect) to which they made it very, very, very clear she was.

To this day, I regret not buying the 2014 ITS Tournament pack so I could get the Bounty Hunter model.

So yes, if you really like that TAG, just go ahead and buy it directly from CB!

I wasn't suggesting this was Toni or related to her. Just remarking that we haven't had a character TAG in a while. I think Scarface has been the only one to get a model and aside from him, Toni was the only other one to get rules. At least it shouldn't be a problem playing this guy using a regular Tikbalang.

Edit: I guess Toni's TAG is called "Eduardo" but the package is labelled as Toni.

Okay, I thought maybe this was a new character TAG, but apparently it is supposed to be Toni's. Interesting that the tournament's campaign covers the events surrounding her death, which explains why she's here. It would be nice if this means that they might actually make some Legacy profiles for characters who are dead or units that have been removed (Exrah) or heavoly altered (Azra'il and Ahl Fassed).

Azra'il was never supposed to be small. That was sculptor messing up and they never replaced it until now.

Yes, Eduardo was Toni's heavily modified Tikbalang. In N2, it was so much better than the regular Tikbalang that there was no point in ever not taking Toni over the regular Tik. So...Toni *died*. The regular Tik received some nice upgrades, and a so-so mini.

The "Toni is dead" pins seem a bit gratuitous. ANd a tad tasteless. Enh.

The as yet to be unseen ITS missions are going to be TAG-centric, maybe?

October releases, any hints yet? Dire Foes 6 and the ASA starter, maybe? (That'll cover Pan-O, Yu Jing and Haqq)

Yeah, but the weapon options for the old version were rather different. If they wanted to justify an in-universe reason for the size difference, they could call it a Mk.I Azra'il or something.

I get a kick out of the idea they want you to hurry up and buy it before it goes out of stock, even though it's for the entire 2017 ITS season......

They didn't want to justify an in-universe reason for the size difference. It was never anything to do with the universe. The sculptor screwed up, they released it anyways because of whatever reason.

End of story. They did an "in-universe" thing before with the Suryats; they went from HI in Human Sphere to MI in Campaign: Paradiso and back to HI now.

Money on Toni's consciousness is imprinted into her TAG much to the confusion of Pano scientists. Eduardo is now semi sentient with a Toni virus. Toni is dead but something resembling her inhabits the TAG.

Whats the deal with ITS exclusive stuff? Do you have to come first to get it?

Its nice, it is limited supply because it is not the main 2016 ITS box, the main season box has Scarface, this is a side event.

I still don't understand the concept behind the Tikbalang's sword... I mean, what is it even supposed to look like? I reminds my of a toaster knife that toasts your bread while you slice it. It doesn't even look sharp or in anyway practical for combat use and with that orange/red paint job, my eyes gets even more confused as wtf is going with that... Thing.. It's a shame cause I really like the model but that sword seriously kills it for me.

I'll buy buying an ITS pack for that TAG. Even if I never get into PanO I really like it, and like Alpharius, I've been kicking myself for not doing the same to get the ABH Sniper.

How much do ITS packs usually sell for?

40 euro then crazy high spanish shipping cost ($30ish to the us). The Combat Company sells them down your way. the 2015 was only $50 AUD but they've got the 2016 for 140 so I don't know what this years will be.

Also know PsycoticStorm said the TAG box was a separate one from the one with Joe and the article does read that way too. Also the ITS 8 Pack currently in the CB store only shows Joe in it and not the other miniatures.

It's still very mixed. For every 'realistically' posed model, we still get someone standing with one leg on tactical detritus, or in a 'this is my gun, this is my sword' 40k pose, or in a body contortionist pose (hi Red Veil Ninja), or someone in a pin up pose (hi Red Veil female Zhanshi). Really though you need all that variety of poses. It keeps the models interesting. It would be indredibly boring if everyone was in the same combat crouch, gun aimed forward either down low to not be treatening or up and eye down the sight.

I think the best bit of posing trend lately has been weilding their sidearm while still holding their main gun. Weilding a sidearm used to be the job of link team proxy models, something there to represent any model. But the Tohaa range introduce models holding their combi rifles while aiming their pistol, and we suddenly got a new type of combat pose. Unfortunately, it stayed with the Tohaa for a long time. Now it's starting to folter out. For example, the Zhayedan and Al Fasid from Red Veil. Both are very threateningly posed, but neither are aiming their main guns. The Al Fasid is on tactical detritus, but is aiming with his heavy pistol while also holding his HMG off behind him. The Zheydan is walking, low, with his rifle slung and his pistol out.

Really, the only pose I'm getting a bit bored of is the 'hacker with outstretched arm and two fingers up like he's asking for the bill for his meal' pose. I get that they want a way tor people to visibly identify hackers on the table, but two of the best hacker poses IMO were the Celestial Guard (using a tablet rather than a holographic display) and the old Interventor with both arms out on the holographic display.

Agreed that the celestial guard hacker was awesome.

It's a shame that no-one seems to have found a good way of adding the holo-view thingamywhatsit (or some representation thereof) to the miniature. Only in post game report, with Photoshop..

It's a jungle TAG, the sword is a machete for clearing foliage.
Or were were you talking about the design?
I'm guessing it's supposed to be a disposable blade on a multi-use superstructure.
I don't like the paint job on the sword much, but I really don't like weathering or blood/ichor spatter either (I think they really ruin some paint jobs, historical accuracy be damned).

It is the same as other exclusives and as other members have said. You either have to win it or buy it. Corvus Belli gives everyone a chance to own exclusives as they sell each in their store (even gencon minis) for a limited time.

However, this exclusive is not in their store yet. They only have the it's pack with the exclusive joe in it right now. It should be posted in their store sometime this month.
