As it turns out, while in the EoT 13th Company actally stole an entire Chaos Knight household! Yes, you heard it right - SW are getting Chaos Knights! Look for new SW Chaos Knight dual kit that also builds Father of Murderfang.

Warning: Chaos Knights not actually usable by Chaos.

When will FW release their SW-related 30k stuff? April '16?
I'm more interested in this. As a SW player I was pretty disappointed with the last SW release, firmly cementing SW's as a clown army with Logan Claus... Murderclawed Murderfang with a Murderlust from the planet Omnicide... the flying dog's head.

At this point I'm more interested in FW's take on Space Wolves than GW's.

Towards the end of the year atm. Book 6 is February, and they're currently planned for book 7.

Thank you, ImAGeek

I'd be willing to bet that Space Wolves will get the full-on Tau treatment and get a re-print of their codex with all the new units & updates under one cover, because they're still Space Marines...

Or because it's very little work to do. Between "Company of the Great Wolf" and "Hour of the Wolf", you have quite a few formations that are all primed and ready to be added in.

Guard got gakked on because the only thing they got was a half-baked Decurion formation that requires more infantry than any sane person would ever field in one go! (let alone paint. )

Joke's on you, because I (just barely) have enough infantry to run it! I personally feel like there was a miscommunication in the Emperor's Shield Infantry Platoon where it says "a minimum of 5 Infantry Squads" and that it should read "a minimum of 5 squads with the infantry type". When they first posted up the bundles for the book, they insisted that it was the "complete formation" when it was 3x Infantry Squads, 2x Heavy Weapon Squads, a Sentinel, and a Platoon Command Squad.

Plus, you can do tanks instead as a Core choice--and annoyingly it actually comes out cheaper, pointswise, than the ESIC does.

Annnd this is why I didn't bother with the last one. The releases seem way to quick now and I refuse to pay £30 for a book that will just collect dust in 18 months.

I will however be interested in seeing if there is any goodies I can use in 30k

Just play CSM.... We never have to worry about a new codex coming out in a mere 18 months.

(dakka) Bingo!

So are the Wulfen actually confirmed? Or will it be a themed campaign release set around the Eye or something?

Despite dismissing any rumor regarding chaos as false no matter how trusted the person saying it is. (TDK made sure of that) I'm willing to believe that we'd have to wait longer, and i bet that in a few months they will say that it will be another 18 months, but I digress.

It is good to see the campaign books. GW actually moving forward with the story. I never thought Id see it. Maybe the SW players will get a cool decurion.

The funny part is that the campaigns actually are just fleshing out past events.

I don't mind that, cause there's 10,000 years worth of history that GW should be using to make it interesting.

Wulfen? Pretty much yes. Atia posted the following last night on B&C:
Atia, on 21 Jan 2016 - 02:13 AM, said:
Arthanor, on 21 Jan 2016 - 02:05 AM, said:

So they put the wolf (pelt) on the marine, the marine on the (thunder) wolf, the marine in the (wolf) plane, the marine (on the sled) behind the wolves, the wolf (claw/standard) in the marine's hand.

There wasn't much left I guess, they now put the wolf in the marine, which admittedly works better than putting the marine in the marine (centurion).

Half a thumb's up? The other half if they get away from some of the most ridiculous other Wolfy-McWolf stuff and bring back more of the marine.

? Wulfen are something that many players wanted to get in plastic after the awesome metal ones vanished.

Wulfen are something that can be used by FW as base for their 30k Wulfen (-> upgrade kits).

Wulfen were planned for their last release but didn't got green light (did you ever wondered about the silly backstory for Murderfang? Well, he got green light ...).

Until the first White Dwarf pics appear this is probably all we will get to confirm the release of plastic Wulfen miniatures. The campaign book rumor with a Daemon Decurion could just be a guess though as it does not come from a known source.

It would be kind of interesting if Longfangs go the route of Havocs, being able to take both Heavy and Special weapon options.

And if nothing else, done right? It could be the basis for Havocs!

the most common assumption is longfangs getting Helfrost canons. Others think grav. I'm the wait and see crowd. =)

On a more serious note, the reason for the release is probably straightforward enough. Someone over at GW probably came up with a really neat looking werewolf proto-type figure, and corporate wondered which army they should forcibly insert it into. Then someone else noted that 40K already had an army that canonically included werewolves, namely the Space Wolves 13th Company, and the decision was made.

I can basically guarantee you that Long Fangs are not getting Grav. They went out of their way to add Helfrost instead of Grav with the last iteration.

I want a Helfrost turret for the Razorback. Because that would be awesome. Not that SW would ever use it.

Are we sure it's the lost 13th Company?

Because I herd it might be the Lost 14th Company, who disappeared fighting the Necrons and now have all kinds of robot parts.

It comes with a sprue of Space Wolfs and a sprue of Necron Warriors to create your own hybrids.

Except for, you know, CSM always having been in the fast lane for codex updates, even to the point of getting 2 per edition sometimes.

If they're nice, maybe they'll include more plastic Thousand Sons bits as base decoration? Perhaps this is the origin of the plastic Thousand Sons rumor? This could be a fun little treasure hunt for SW players - collect a Wulfen army and get a plastic Thousand Son FREE!*

*Not actually free. Base not included. Prices and participation may vary. Not intended for use with Chaos Space Marines.

And that was only because the initial 3rd ed codex was so bad that even DA's tended to look obscenely OP compared to CSM's...

And let's not forget how we had that super speedy stealth release in 5th edition that was so amazingly fast, even GW blinked & missed it!

So what you're saying is, a subfaction or an already over-served faction has had equal treatment to an entirely separate faction.
