I personally play an army that has the line troops built as Elysians, and the command squad made up of cadian parts/scion parts. Rules wise, I use the standard AM/IG codex, fluff wise, they are combat engineers (so stationary artillery, fortifications, a couple scratchbuilt engineering vehicles, etc.)

My very small guard force is Elysians.

Also like Mordians, but no more armies.

So shiny. So chrome haha. I like it.

I run an Elysian Drop Troops army (currently working my way up to about 5000pts. of them) and am also planning on a small continegent of DKoK Tanks to mix things up!

If I have conscripts I will have a Valhallan PCS, if I am running infantry I will use a Mordian CCS. This has been a fun arrangement that has allowed me to really experiment with painting, especially when it comes to vehicles.

Seeing as there were pic requests I guess I'll post some. This is missing the second stormie squad made from an elysian command squad and like I said, I haven't gotten around to painting the dkok vets yet as I took an almost 3 year break and is only now returning.

Currently working on other projects, but one day I'd like to build a 31st Harakoni Warhawks army.

Cadian bodies with HazEnv masks and gravchutes, specialized for rapid insert by Valkyrie and HALO jumps (deep striking).

Probably use Militarum Tempestus rules. Although I'll include Tauros and Tauros Venators (the taurox is stupid looking by comparison) and I'd like to be able to use them. So maybe I'll upgrade to the AM codex once I have enough men. Then I can bring Vendettas. And Vultures

I absolutely love the DKoK and Vostroyans, however I own neither.

Its mostly tanks, boasting 11 russes, 4 chimeras and the stormlord. I also have some FW fliers and a ton of cheap infantry, but Russes are the theme!

I did manage to make some serviceable steel legion out of the now defunct Wargames factory Shock Troopers using the torsos and heads with cadian arms, as well as some sweet sweet Victoria miniatures rough riders on cold ones

I recently started a Mordian Iron Guard army using the Tannenberg Fusiliers minis from Victoria miniatures. I love the idea of guys in their parade uniforms standing up to unspeakable alien monstrosities and super soldiers. It's also nice to have an army that is very unique, and not just the standard Cadians.

I'm a big fan of the Vostroyans. But I collect Militarum Tempestus (who I count as a branch of IG). I'll post some pictures once I've painted a few more up

Also, Alathia - nice figures! Love some of those conversions with dying dudes and stuff. Very immersive. It doesn't look like much, but I understand how much work has actually gone into them. Really nice work!

My catachans

Traitor guard, loosely based on the Zoicans from "Necropolis". Pretty much from-the-sprue Wargames Factory Greatcoats.

My turn to post some pics. I put a description of my guys in the first page but a picture is worth a thousand word.

On this picture, a batch of Rhayian Guards from the 506th Mechanized, 22° R.S.D "Vympel", currently deployed on the feral world of Vorinka, Halo Stars region.


From left to right:
- Assault Veteran from the Storm company B, 3nd squad, wearing a distinctive balistic visor, an AC, a RPG launcher and a Krinkov Lascarbine.
- Assaut Veteran Sergeant, commander of the said squad, armed with a bolter.

Zeks militamen are the very scum of Rhayé's sector. They are prisoners, rapists, thieves and regular Rhayian citizens who did not make it through the standard processes to become a R.S.D Guardsmen. They are particularly ruthless and are used by Rhayian divisions as meatshields and repression forces.

Cossacks have a more noble duty and are highly regarded by R.S.D commanders. Fast and light, they can infiltrate and scavenge enemy back lines and make very long recon raids. R.S.D recon regiments are usually named ''Cossacks regiments" in their honour, even though they often count more Salamander/Chimera tanks than actual Cossacks squadron.

My theme is korean war era chinese valhallens (they use almost the same uniform). I originally wanted to do an urban paint scheme (as seen on their bases in my gallery) but ended up choosing something closer to their real life uniform. This list wins me quite a few games if I play marines or dark elder. Their my pride and joy but due to moving I've been separated quite a bit. Although now I ready have a valhallen coat...and bloody warm it is too!

Right now I have Elysian Drop Troops on the table to be put together and painted. I love the look of these models, especially with all respirator heads. They look nice when painted in a camo scheme. I also love DKOK and will picking them up as well in the near future. I dont play IG to win, I play IG b/c I love their models.

Thanks bruv, I'm always a bit paranoid about paint thickness etc so a compliments always nice (not that I'm fishing for them haha)

Death Korps of Krieg Siege Regiment, also have Scions. The Death Korps are grey, whereas I went with a different camo for every kind of Scion model I have (Grey for DKoK, autumn Flecktarn for metal Stormies, non-digital CADPAT for Scions, I am not sure what I'll do for Kasrkins and plastic Stormies, probably winter and desert)

Don't have recent pics, been out of 40k for a while now, which is a shame, and that along with busy summers and other things mean I lagged behind a lot and work as accumulated and its kinda de-motivating.

And there's no good light in my appartement.

My flavor is knightworld guard. The idea is mechanized peasant infantry with a redemptionist flare. I like my infantry armies and some of a new Cadian stuff plays really well with my idea of peasents worked into a zealous lasgun wielding mob, like the banner of the lost.

Alternatively I can do the all CCS build and run five man carapace FnP squads for the feel of grizzled knightworld veterans.

In the lore i love the hiveworld gangster type guards.

no i dea how i could possibly paint or mod em into that. prety catachans would be the easiest to do just that but they be uglyyyyyy

I run a bit of a mix.
My regular troops are Cadian.
My vets are Catachan.
My HWT (except missile) are DKOK (I use the heads from Warzone). Missiles are Cadian and Catachan.
My Scions are ST figures and some Grenadier (Warzone)
My SW are a mix of Cadian and Catachan.
My Armor are all based on Cadian.
My Sentinals are 1/2 Cadian (armored) and 1/2 Catachan (scout)
My fliers are, well dragon based and tv show based.
Vend.1 : Turok (Avatar)
Vend.2 : Flying Death (skeletal dragon)
Vulture 1 : Toothless
Vulture 2 : Airwolf

That reminds me, I use a tanith first and only squad as stormstroopers. (Welsh in space) I was wondering how many people have those and if so how do you field them in an army?
