Guys, guys. Get both, hide them, refuse to share with family and friends. Profit.

Thin Mints? Samoas? Maybe when you've run out of Tagalongs.

Truthfully, I can't decide whether I like Thin Mints or Samoas more. I usually buy an equal number of those.

I don't really like any other kind they make, though.

Tagalongs are peanut butter and chocolate. Peanut butter and chocolate. There is only one correct choice.

I live right next door to a house that sells Girl Scout cookies. It's like a crackhouse.

Recently, here on the West Coast they had to change all the cookie names. Now they are mint patties, coconut dreams and some other stupid BS nickname. On the other hand, there's a newish shortbread and fudge cookie to help take the sting.

That would be the Somoas, best and only Girl Scout Cookie worth getting. The others are ok I supposes, but Thin Mints are for children with unrefined tastes, of course. The kind of slack jawed yokel that would vote in an internet poll for best cookie picks Thin Mints. The people who think Thin Mints are best tend to be those that support the North Korea dictatorial regime, is what I am saying.

Do you think they are called Somoas because when you finish a box you say, "I wish I could have somoa?"

And here we see the heart of the Samoa argument. When faced with the WILL OF THE PEOPLE, the Samoa-eaters disparage the very public they should serve. They wrap themselves in fancy names and pageantry while the ever-loyal Thinmint Brigades march on in silent service to the tastebuds of the world.

By ignoring the voices of the masses, it is clear that buying a box of Samoas means you are buying a box of Suppression.

WHY DO YOU HATE FREEDOM, SAMOAS?

No I hate heresy. Thin Mints are heresy and therefore I hate Thin Mints.

While I would never disparage Samoas - which really probably are my favorite, really - I think there is a simple and refined joy to be had in sitting down with a good book, a glass of milk, and just hoovering in an entire sleeve of Thin Mints.

By the way, did you guys know there is a Samoa cookie ice cream?

Luckily, it's available in a "lite" recipe, because calorie-conscious eaters don't want to go overboard when eating an ice cream packed with cookies.

I'm not sure in which way you mean that. In the US, you can't generally enter into most binding contracts until age 18, you can't consent to sexual relations until approx 16 (it varies by state), you probably wouldn't be in an adult criminal justice system short of murder until 16 - depending on the circumstances - and so on.

I think I need the question rephrased.

We don't have any laws that make being transgender illegal, so there... is no culpability?

Does culpability mean something different across the pond? Over here it means 'legally at fault' or some such.

"This kid is too young to know what they really want, how can their parents/society/evil SJWs/whoever allow them to do this!?!??!!"

There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices.

And we were having such a lovely flame war over which cookie is best.

If a 9 year old wants to be a little girl, then good for her. If a nine year old wants to be a little boy, good for him. What's the problem, exactly?

We were once so close to heaven, St. Peter came out and gave us medals; declaring us "The nicest of the damned".
