I mean, sure, Gate is guaranteed, but he has EW and that's worth its weight in gold.

Draigo is the best Land Raider in the game. He's small, fast, open-topped, armor and invul save instead of AV, and he can melee. What's not to love?

Only downsides I can see is he can't enclose the unit he's transporting and he can't stop blasts/templates from hitting the lot of them

I did say "open-topped".

LoW is a slot. I don't need permission to bring Elites, and I don't need permission to bring LoW's.

Another funny thing you can do with Draigo, a GK libby or two, a libby conclave and some purfs. If you roll another GoI you can deepstrike behind enemy lines, dump a psychic phase worth of witchfire (some pyromancy, psychic shriek, maybe even a VoD if you have the dice.) into them, then GoI back out before the end of your phase.

I don't think you can target the same unit with the same blessing multiple times unless it specifically allows it.

From the FAQ posted today.

Q: Can units that are Battle Brothers embark in each other’s Transport vehicles during deployment?

A: No.

No more Purifiers in allied Drop Pods.

No more novas from rhinos. Only witch fire can be cast from a fire point...

So I guess purifiers got a big hit..

Isn't nova a type of witchfire?
As for 'only witchfire,' isn't this how the 7th Edition Psychic phase has always worked?

Yea the FAQ only impacts mono GK in one bad way, we can't cast Force and Hammerhead together. Halberds seem better again as a result.

On the positive side if we manifest that electroshield in a squad EVERYONE has a 3++. I'm going to end up taking three librarians to all my games now just so I can get the stronger psychic powers more consistently now. Might of Heroes and Veil of Time on Draigo? Yes please can I have some more?

Veil of time, might of heroes doesn't work like that since our libs dont have brother of psyker rules:( only our squads have it...

On my data card it says CF is nova while the rest is a witchfire of some sort... so I would say it not a witch fire raw

Data cards are not rules; they only serve as helpful reminders. Check the BRB under 'types of psychic powers,' specifically Witchfire sub-types.

RAW Nova's are witchfire, look at the BRB.

Did Solomon Lok get an update? I still have him listed with psybolt ammo and I believe they got rid of it.

hey guys!

So I just had a 250p game (1 lvl 2 lib and 5 Strikes with 1 Psycanon, its part of our campaign so dont call me crazy ^^) and rolled on the librarius powers.

I got the no. 1 Power that lets you reroll all save rolls and let me tell you that was awesome. My libby tanks wounds like a mad man and once he got down to one wound I let my strikes take the hits, all rerollable.
This was pretty bad as for such a small game!

############
Do you think the new Powers will replace sanctic powers for our GKs?

What would the table to roll on be?
You could for example teleport a fully packed landraider 18 inches, pretty damn nice! (not to mention the haywire nova ;-) )

A Draigo star with an extra libby for veil of time would result in a 2++ rerollable if you get all the powers of
That is imho better than invisibility since all the other powers in that list suck :-/

The problem is that none of those powers are guaranteed, which means you can never rely on them.

Been away for a while since my son was born. Pulled out the Knights after I picked up the new codex for Father's day and played a bit tonight.

So what's the word on the street about GK? I've read through the thread, is this the main one for now?

If Draigo casts Gate, does it bring his squad with him? Can I really teleport around the board with a paladin-star?

I usually run him, as many NDKs as possible, and paladins; but I have a bunch of landraiders, strikes, and other stuff as well.

Sounds like I need to take a Lib every time with that crazy relic for more powers.

Are Paladins just too expensive, even if you take the banner (+1 attack) and the Apoth? They seem super tank-y at that point.

Pretty much yes to each of your questions. That is how GK play at the moment.

I like the idea of Paladins, but they're easily 5-10 points too expensive.

They really nerfed the crap out of Psycannons huh? What is their use now that they are Salvo weapons and you can barely lay any shots down?

They cost a ton, but seem terrible. Am i wrong?

Well if Paladins were 10 points cheaper, they'd only be like 11 more points expensive than a regular terminator; would that really be enough to warrant 1 extra WS and wound? That seems pretty significant.

In my list right now, I cut them out though, since I used to love the fact they could roll extra psycannons; but like I said earlier, I'm not exactly sure why I'd take them now.

10 for an extra wound isn't too bad. And the extra WS is mostly insignificant.

Termies are relentless, psycannons work fine on them since they get full shots at full range even if they move. PA GK are not, and as such, it's incinerators or nothing, which is why you never, ever see PA GK since termies are troops.

They're still not great for lots of stuff, but it's them, incinerators or stormbolters, so there's not a lot of argument.

Have you played against a riptide yet? If no, go find a tau player and have them educate you. If yes, that's (one of the many reasons) why 2W 2+ T4 models don't mean crap.

Nemesis strikeforce
ML3 libby
1 unit of terminators
pair of dreadknights with your weapons of preference and personal teleporter

Rinse and repeat until points limit or add allies to cover weaknesses. Take the book on your first libby, the armour or the glaive on the 2nd if you double up. Add Draigo and some psychers to a unit of grav cents for the lulz in a semicompetative meta.

Your entire army tends to be made of 2+ saves, so have fun playing against marines toting grav on everything.

I generally run my termie squads with a very mixed weapon loadout. 1 x staff, 2 x haberds, 1 x hammer and the psycannon with a sword. I just use a stormraven as a gunship (my local nid player loves flyers). 2 x ndk with teleporter, sword, psycannon & incinerator. I disagree with the current dread policy they provide decent long range support. I do find that a gk army is good in a mid sized game too small and you have too few models & options. Too big and the big guns on the otherside hurt.

The only reality that matters is mine.

I obviously need to review the Relentless rule. So termies can fire all 4 shots, and charge, even when using Salvo weapons? I used them most when they used to be Heavy 4.

I haven't played against a riptide in the latest edition, but yea, it was pretty mean when I played against it before without Draigo catching shots up front, which would be worse now since they nerfed him down to T4.

That list sounds a bit like what I put together for my current list, except I have 3 DKs, and one rhino with strikes/psy for shooting on the go and objective holding.
