Any idea when the general release is supposed to be for the goblin special weapons?

How much did the set cost?

Check the Warhammer Fest summary thread but, IIRC, someone said the expansion packs (goblin, human, Skaven) were £18 ea. and we're projecting a couple of weeks to full release.

Surprised no other site has posted these yet, but a big book of Blood Bowl artwork at the game's dedicated stand featured at the end a few render images of Orc cheerleaders. The team kept mentioning cheerleaders in jest in the panel, and I have no idea if these were just concept or are planned for actual release, but... here are the pics I snapped.

Also, I spoke to Tom (the sculptor of Mighty Zug - I believe that was his first name) and got a definitive answer as to his intended vision - it was indeed the hand holding a ball! He admitted it was unusual for Zug, true, but he envisaged Zug scooping up the ball after it had been dropped by a nasty blitz, and using it to lure other opponents to within arms reach.

Last couple of thoughts from the show - based on what was said, shown, and intoned (always the rogue element) - were I a gambling man, I would lay money on the following as a likely release schedule for full team sets: Elven Union - Nurgle - Wood Elves - Treeman - Halfings. I didn't see anything Nurgle related, much to my dismay, but they did mention Wood Elves and Halflings a lot, and reiterated all the teams in the book would be released. I suspect they will appear just like the go lins have (big fella for an existing team, which overlaps with them, and a smaller box of 4 for human teams). All my own inference, of course, coupled with long-rumoured double-sided elf/Nurgle pitch - but that would line everything up neatly.

Another chap said they were aiming for a new boxed team every four months - which is a bit oddly slow, given they have hired two dedicated sculptors for the range, but... The huge numbers spending a lot on Blood Bowl at the festival really showed how popular the game is - was very nice to see such support.

The difference is that Human teams can't take Halflings like the Orcs can with Goblins... unless they're planning to change that? That would be interesting... might make me more interested in humans.

What is the solution for Bright Crusaders and Orcland raiders when it comes to booster packs?

1) Release gimped standard teams
2) Release gimped alternative teams
3) Release booster packs to fix standard teams
4) ?

Also the 2 throwers 1 catcher for human booster is really strange as pointed out.

The booster is 2 blitzes, 1 thrower and a catcher?

Right, but the base box contains two out of two Throwers and two out of four Catchers. The booster should have been two Blizters and two Catchers as that's what's required to get all positions.

It is a bit hard to see the logic, but at least I'll have a 12 man squad with only one duplication

The Orc booster pack hasn't been officially listed for release yet. Have you tried emailing them or contacting them on FB and suggesting they change the pack contents?

Added that as a house rule years ago, good stuff.

You do realise there's ways to play without filling all positions. I won with one Cather once. He had to roll a 5+ three times to get into the end zone. I rolled three sixes.

If you don't want to fill out all the positional slots then you aren't buying the booster anyway. Literally no-one can use three throwers. Someone just wasn't paying attention.

That, and maybe, just maybe, people want alternate sculpts for specialist players, so when you're on the field you can easily tell one from another.

But that's crazy talk!

The only solution would be to let the booster have 5 models: 1 thrower, 2 catchers, 2 blitzers.

I'd much rather have 2x2 catchers than 2+1 throwers.

What to expect when orc booster comes out? 2 blitzers,1 black orc and a thrower?

These teams rarely even take 2 throwers so there is way more justification for an additional catcher/black orc.

I would like to see a booster pack for bright crusaders/orcland raiders though.

I'd love alternate sculpts for every member of the team (including linemen), but it isn't first priority, imo. First priority for me (and obviously others here) is being able to easily buy the models required to field the maximum number of positionals the team is allowed to take.

I'm not a big fan of buying more of a positional than I can field... yes, two throwers with different poses is neat, but then the extra one from the core box feels like wasted plastic.

Forge World finally released White Dwarf & Black Gobbo, Skaven booster and Grim Ironjaw. Funny to see scalpers still trying to get twice the price for these sets on ebay.

This calls for a celebration:

2 of 5 teams are now complete!

Hopefully Humans, Orcs and Goblins follow shortly.

Neoprene Orcland Raiders pitch is showing as Sold Out.

Seems permanently, but this being a GW website, could be awaiting a restock.

Those price are just plain slowed. Mean to say, I have all those teams except the Vampire team, which I have about 10 figures, but its not complete, but I would like another Ogre team for a friend recovering from a fight with cancer. We nicknamed Kyle Ogre because he is a modern day caveman. I have a million funny stories about Kyle, and I pray for him, because the cancer will come back...

Anyway, I can't believe those prices. I have 2 High Elf teams and 2 of a couple other GW teams. Might have to EBAY them, so I can buy teams from GASPEZ ARTS.

That Ogre team is one of the best modern Blood Bowl releases GW have made, and stands up well against the new plastic kits they've been pumping out. Might actually drop some cash on that.

Apparently it only comes with five Ogres though, not a full six.
