Yep, mech Sisters for the win for sure. I'll add at least one of every new thing, but these tanks I've already done will form the core of the corps.
New developments:
Some work on the LoER contest entry.... "double entendre" is the theme, so I'm going for something that can be configured in multiple ways with a focus on two layouts. The wide spacing will give broad boulevards, enough room to maneuver tanks and even knights, and may call for some scatter terrain to eat up some of the space. The tight layout will represent infantry-only corridors for brutal close-quarters fighting. I'll assemble the tiles to easily do either setup, and obviously more beyond those two.
Also, I made some headway on the Ork/Ogryn hybrids. I have a second box of Bullgryns on the way to allow me to build the last two Nobz, but these are ready for paint. I'll probably wait til I have them all before I start, though.
Got a modelling question for you. Back on page nine for your last large terrain build for the competition you had some styrene diamond plate patterned piece you used on the ramp. If I may ask, where did you find it?

I think Brian is right about the brand... I remember Evergreen didn't have it and Plastruct sounds right. Not sure if I went direct or through Amazon...
Here you go, CB... went back through my Amazon orders and found it. Not cheap, but I think it was worth it for the end results. Horizon Hobbies via Amazon:
I'm a recycling bin hoarder... those are mostly caps from milk cartons, pill bottles, and my kids' squeezy applesauce pouches, plus little plastic doodads that I find as packing materials and elsewhere. I've got a giant box of random plastic junk under my workbench. I'll add some drinking straws and bass guitar strings before I'm done.
I got my LoER submission in right before the deadline... here are the six photos I chose to submit. My claim to this round's "double entendre" theme is two-fold... wide spacing for boulevards passable by heavy armor vs. tight corridors only accessible to infantry, and lights-off vs. lights on. I chose pics that show the two different spacings, pics that show with and without lights, and a couple of detail shots. I'll post more when I get a chance, probably this weekend, that show more of the construction process.

Thanks gobert! I made some compromises to get the project wrapped before the deadline, but I'm still pretty happy with it.

It's been all White Scars this month. I managed to get them built/rebuilt to have someflexibility with unit composition and then painted 11 of them to a reasonable standard. The armor is Rustoleum Painter's Touch 2x White with Apothecary White contrast paint, and I'm fairly happy, especially with the efficiency. I did faces/hair, armor trim, and guns and metal bike bits, so I think I'll leave these for now and move on. Next to build: attack bike(s)... next to paint: HQs and Scouts.
Here's a fun and long-overdue project. When I bought my first (and only) Landspeeder Storm, I absolutely loved the model and couldn't help by notice that it basically comes with a free squad of Scouts. That's quite a value, if I could find a way to deploy them separately from the Speeder. That meant magnetizing them, which I did during initial construction, and then building bases for them, which I never did do... until now.
The Scouts from the Landspeeder Storm are variously sitting, leaning, crouching, and hanging, so I was going to need more than just flat bases... they would need stuff to lean on, hang from, etc. I hacked up some old Necromunda bulkheads and mounted them on 32mm bases to have room to work. Next I'll shore them up with some cork rubble, mount magnets that correspond to what's already embedded in Scout boots and butts, and see how quickly I can paint them up.
I have the kit as well, want to extend the fuselage so that it's more like a Blackhawk troop carrier type and have guys fast roping down (or may go old school and have them rappelling/abseiling) but needed something to do with the scouts.
I'll be watching this project very closely to see how you go!

Thanks! So far it seems to be working. The two challenges have been the gunner and the guy hanging from the overhead handle. I got the magnets mounted and the bases detailed... ready for paint!
Thanks! So I'm leaving the driver in place. The gunner will need a gun, so I'll mount a bolter to his terrain piece. The rest are already modeled with bolters, so they just need a beleivable stance. Y'all will need to be the judge when I get them mounted.

So I got the new Sororitas Army Box and spent a handful of nights reading rules. I decided to get started on the Penitent Engine... a big, fun model that doesn't require any decisions. Tonight I got it clipped, cleaned up, and partially assembled. I'll try to prime in white and leadbelcher and may pre-paint a few things before assembling. It's a really cool model and I'm excited to build and paint it!

I think I'll go for gunmetal with black and gold trim. I have one classic Penitent, and it got some white armor plates and green banners to tie in with the army, but I don't see as many bits on this one that call out for color. Thinking of PEs (and other units) as Ministorum rather than Sororitas frees me from the tyranny of green, white, and gold.
A quick update... I got the Penitent undercoated (I had to wait for temps and humidity to creep upwards a bit), and slapped some quick pre-assembly paint and washes on it. I was going to build the base, but then I figured if I'm going to break out basing materials for one model, I might as well do all of the bases from the Sisters Army Box. So I've been hammering on those 30-ish bases, plus the scenic bases for my converted Storm Scouts from a little further up the thread. I'm mostly done with the bases... they just need an Agrax wash and some detail work. Once they're done, I'll paint the assembled Penitent Engine and start thinking about Arcos and Repentia. Woooo, progress!

Nice touch painting all of his vials different colour, good patience! Were the leg and arm in the left of the pic washed differently or is it a trick of the light? I suspect the latter

Thanks, all... unfortunately the vials look better unassembled, and I focused on the wrong aspects of them despite dry-fitting and eyeballing it. You can only really see the top, bottom, and inside of the double-row of vials, so probably not worth the effort. Fun, though! I got the base colors down to the point of being ready to assemble, mostly just the flesh and metal shading washes.
Some more updates:
I got most of the base paint colors down on three squads of Scouts, the basis of a White Scars Battalion. One of the squads has the scenic bases nearing completion... long time coming, those, seeing as I magnetized the Speeder at least a couple of years ago! They'll get a few touch-ups, one squad still needs all its Leadbelcher, and then some sloppy shading across the bunch to call them table-ready.
Once I started on the Penitent, I knew I needed to do the base, so why not fire off all of the bases in the box? That led me to finish the Scout bases and get them into the mix, and before I knew it, I had another three paint sticks' worth. I'm reasonably pleased with the Scout bases, although I'll still do some detailing on them with exposed metal on the raised edges, and I'm glad to have the Seraphim bases prepped and ready, as my next undertaking from this box might be some Zephyrim conversions...
Finally, I got sick of dealing with dried out paints and decided to do something about it. I live in Colorado with a very arid climate and lots of temperature fluctuations, and my hobby gear lives in the garage... I often don't even get a year out of a pot of paint. I ordered up 50 dropper bottles, 100 stainless agitator balls, acrylic medium, flow aid, and syringes, and I'm going for it despite the hellish day (or days) of shifting everything over. I also inventoried all my paints, purged what was totally dead, prioritized some for salvaged, and reordered to refill the gaps in my collection. The Citadel paint app is actually not too bad for the purpose. I spent about $90 on paint and another $30 on the decanting operation, but hopefully I'll protect my investment and salvage another $200 or so in borderline paints. I'll post on that process when it gets underway, maybe as early as this weekend. All insights, advice, video links, cautionary tales, etc. are most welcome. Here are the survivors of the cull, looking shabby on a pilfered school lunch tray:
