@Azreal13 that's a handy rhyme, although the fact that it exists at all only adds to my hesitation

@monkeysloth to be clear, I'm not suggesting or concerned that he is embezzling money for personal gain. I'm more concerned about the number of people who have lost money to businesses under his control over the years, and neither want to find myself in that position (which Az's rule might help me avoid) nor give my money to someone who's business practices/ethics/acumen/decisions (whatever the cause of these issues has been) has lead to so many people being left short. I know he's not the only one who hasn't been able to fulfill a KS, and I know it is probably despite his best efforts to do so, but in fairness I wouldn't buy from any company that I knew owed people long-standing unfulfilled orders without good reason (i.e. the recent lockdown.)

I wonder how much remains to be sculpted and cast, and just how ridiculously late it all is *now*, never mind how late it will all be when it (hopefully) all sees the light of day.

Has someone already worked up that list?

I'm too depressed over this whole situation to do it...

Rob does still do those updates on the forums for each project.

He does, but I don't think they're very complete in terms of listing everything that is still waiting to be sculpted, etc.

It is hard to determine what miniatures go with what Kickstarter, when they were initially due, and where they stand now in terms of the overall queue.

It is a mess.

The what's been sculpted list is about the only thing he does keep up to date. Tends to only modify data once a month but he does maintain that list.

As for what's being sculpted in what order and when finished sculpts will have molds made. Ya, the release list we got the other day is the first one we've had in probably 2 years.

After a little hiatus it's time for another Darklands: Savage Hordes IV update...

This week we have:
•concept art from Kurt Jakobi;
•a link to the forums where you can see this project's fulfilment;
•a reminder that if you play Darklands, head to our forums to find more players!
•...and anything else you can expect from us over the next few months.

Anyway, here's some

So we've still got some concept artworks to get sorted for this project, mostly for the Jutes, and so up stepped Kurt Jakobi with some not-very-easy works that he has handled with a comb. I mean, aplomb!

So Kurt's second round of beetles, the Midden Beetles, aren't actually a part of this project: but they'll eventually go with the Jutboḡa host, replacing the Dwimor, who will be in a Wiht host eventually.

Now these guys will be support monstrous infantry on 60mm bases. They're unashamedly based on Bombardier Beetles that can spit acid from their rectums; needless to say, in Darklands, that will be rather nasty. So watch out for these sods on the battlefield!

You can purchase them here: https://mierce-miniatures.com/index.php?act=pro&pre=mrm_dkl_jut_cnt_min_940_000

So Eglāc is the leader of the unit...

...and he loves eggs, for sure!

A warrior, is Caldic...

...no, it doesn't mean cold dick. Potty minds!

So Ardic is the last member of the unit...

...he has got an 'ard dick though.

Bob will no doubt sculpt these beggars!

The last concept artworks we need for this project are the Bats of Cisel (pronounced chisel), a unit of nihtbats that were included within the Ghūlgār host. Standing on 80mm bases, these are BIG bats! Kurt Jakobi has done the honours again.

IMPORTANT: If you've purchased the Ghūlgār host, you'll only get two Nihtbats - not Thrada, basically - so if you want all three, you'll have to purchase Thrada on his own.

You can get hold of them here: https://mierce-miniatures.com/index.php?act=pro&pre=mrm_dkl_jut_cnt_mbs_195_000

We already have a Thrada, of course...

...but we feel he'd have to be resculpted to match the other two.

Cuc is a nihtbat,

but he's not a cuckoo. Or cuck. Short for cuckold.

The last nihtbat of the unit is Edun...

We're thinking these guys will be done with the Mound Beetles, in February of next year...

What's Next

In the future, Bob Plociennik will be doing lots of everything. Other than that, Jason Hendricks will be doing the great weapon Brute-Beasts soon...

Automatically Appended Next Post:
It's time for another a Darklands: Savage Hordes III Part Deux update!

This week we have:
•sculpt work in progress updates from Bob Płociennik;
•a link to the forums where you can see this project's fulfilment;
•a reminder that if you play Darklands, head to our forums to find more players!
•...and anything else you can expect from us over the next few months.

Check out these here

Well, miniature, for the Jutes...

The final version of Ætulla - hooded, on a horse - is now done, thanks to Bob Płociennik!

So you can put a fork in him, Jute people!

What's Next?

Bob Płociennik will be doing the Skorpion Minor unit in the next month, so expect those next time... along with pretty much everything else. Except for the Great Club Brute-Beasts, which Jason Hendricks will do.

Automatically Appended Next Post:

There's still a couple of conversion units left to do on Darklands: Savage Hordes II - and Yannick Fusier has begun one of them...

This week we have:
•sculpt work in progress updates from Yannick Fusier;
•a link to the forums where you can see this project's fulfilment;
•a reminder that if you play Darklands, head to our forums to find more players!
•...and anything else you can expect from us over the next few months.

Let's have a look at some...

It's all Fomoraic this time around...

The original Walvax have been around for a while but as Yannick Fusier did them originally, we didn't really want to change sculptors as he has his own unique (and bloody awesome) style. Now he's got the Ograx done, he's started the Walvax Netters straight away... and why not!

The champion of the unit is Ohnaan...

...he's going to entangle you in his net and everything!

Now Horaanh is a warrior of the unit...

...and Yannick hasn't started him yet, so here's the concept to remind you what he will look like.

Waanh is the last member of the unit...

...and believe you me, he's named after his wang.

These guys are utterly beautiful and we can't wait to get our hands on them!

What's Next?

We've decided that Rafael Dioli will do the Rogue-Drunes - and so new Shadow-Drunes. Then this project is fully sculpted! Woot!

Hate to break it to you Alpharius, but I checked Rob's list of to do's on the forum and the Mallox aren't even listed there. Think he forgot -- or more likely you and I are the only ones that bought them so they're super low priority as I'm certain he's doing things by how many people purchase them in the PM.

You're most likely right - and we'll be waiting a loooooong time for them, if they indeed ever make it out.

But, I'll be sure to not let anyone forget about them!

Just built up my two new arrivals.
Selkilias the two-tailed scorpion and the big dragon lludial.

Fabulous, absolutely amazingly well sculpted, and the parts fit is phenomenal, Mierce have really stepped up in this regard.

Iludial is HUGE, and the fit is almsot perfect, the base (once you nut out how it all fits together) will stand without glue, it's a marvel of resin engineering!

Same here!

I love just about all of the Jute stuff.

Would it shock you to hear that I've got a lot of that on order, waiting to be shipped to me some day?

Very nice - and nicely painted too!

Mierce does make absolutely gorgeous miniatures, especially the larger sized monsters and such.

Great job on the scorpion! What a beauty.

SPEAKING of Mierce scorpions, there's a deal running until July 20 to get the new scorpion king, Caius Domitius, and the baby scorps, and the mega scorp if you want, at a discount.

Caius Domitius, Tiamatus Secundus is 50% off by himself

Vul X Caius, Skorpion Minor Vulgus (him and the kids) are 37.5% off

Vul XII Caius, Skorpion Vulgus (him and the kids and the big mama) are 43.2% off

I'll admit I'm very tempted by the full set, as I missed the mega scorp and she's really grand, but I straight up don't want Caius ... but even then it's a solid deal, despite the recent blanket 25% off!

Put in my pre-order today for Cauis (x2).

The new shipping rate for the under 150 is just 13 quid, so not terrible. I would have ordered the Minor set but I already have plenty of scorpians...Mierce and otherwise.

Urusei Yatsura, Cerebus the Aardvark, Machiavelli, Plato and Happy Days. So, how was your childhood?

More WIP for the massive dragon
This bugger is mighty tricky to photograph as he is way too big for my light box...

Apologies for the poor quality images.

I'd say he's nearly done, a fair bit of tidying up to do, and I thought I could get away without filling the joins, (Awesome fit on the moulding) but alas not...I will need to go back and fill in some.

Anyway, enough with the excuses...

Ditto - Also I don't have the skill you do of having the varying colour palette over the model that makes it so much more interesting/realistic.

I love it!

I love that it isn't red Also I do really like that sculpt, shovel-nosed dragon heads are my fav. Somewhat ironically, I might have bought it if it were smaller But good on you for soldiering through, looking real nice.

Some impressive work there yxalitis!

Both the quality of the paint job and the dedication to see a project through of that size!

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

Have been reading some of this thread and how some KS are still aren't fulfilled. Hopefully Mierce can get some type of small business loan from the Co-vid pandemic. I'm in the U.S. so not sure if the U.K. is giving those out or not. It sucks for the KS people they deserve to get their mini's. I've bought about $1500 from them over the last 2 years (through their website) and always got my orders with high accuracy. I haven't went through all of it
yet but the team that picks the product and ship it do a highly accurate job. The majority has been BOGO free deals I've bought, but also have been pretty generous on the 25% off sales.

I've been holding off lately as they seem to be getting ahead of themselves selling unsculpted mini's, ones that are 6 months to a year out. I would caution people against that as Mierce can't really predict what the world is going to throw at them between now and then. Also, if worse comes to worse, you will no longer be able to do a credit card chargeback on something you bought 6 months ago. Co-vid is still here, and mini competition is getting very tough. There has been so many STL file kickstarters and hobbyists are printing them and turning around and selling on ebay, etsy, and other venues. Their mini's look nowhere as good as Mierce's final product, but they generally advertise the 3d image and not the finished product, so get plenty of sales.

So my advice is if they have it in stock, you shouldn't hesitate to purchase to help them out. The far out preorder stuff I would pass on.
