I've done so in the past few days. Getting some Baalor to use as Chaos Warrior characters, and the werewolves from Anglecynn to use as Skin Wolves for Warhammer: The Old World. Cheaper than buying the ones from GW.

Damn, their miniatures are so good.

Yep, but even with the "Buy one, get two free" offer (which smacks of desperation TBH), the kits are MASSIVELY overpriced.

That's over $400 AUD!!!
Hmm, or I could get:

A huge range of fabulous options for less than a quarter of the price.
Rob's simply priced himself out of the market IMHO

I'm still getting prodded with these sales, most days, they're sending me astounding unmissable offers. It doesn't end.

Yeah every time they finish one "Never to be repeated 60% off" offer they follow it up with a "Never to be repeated 50% off, with some freebies" offer or a "Never to be repeated Buy One, Get Two Free" offer. I am hoping nobody ever pays full price! In fact, anything over half price and you are probably overpaying.

Are they actually consistently shipping/delivering on those orders? That would probably be the most important determinant of whether or not to order given how certain other companies are a hassle to deal with and just want free money seemingly.

They've always does this. It's a pretty common sales tactic these days as most people don't bother to check every email so they're hoping to snag you when you do. I see it a lot.

I haven't ordered something from them for about 18 months maybe (preorder) but got it right within the expected delivery window. Them switching to 3D printing for most new stuff has helped with their delivery times by quite a bit.

Mierce takes it to a new level because a good many of their sales get extensions so you see the same same come around multiple times then there's a fresh sale.

The problem is when a firm discounts heavily regularly enough what happens is the customers now view the sale price as the standard price and they stop shopping when things aren't on sale. They entirely switch off so now you have to be in a sale to sell anything at all.

It can be a positive feedback loop where you can quickly end up trapped having to drive discounts to drive sales.

I'm glad to hear that they're actively and consistently delivering despite the seemingly constant slew of sales. Admittedly, I'm getting a biased view as the only time I check them out is basically when the thread is periodically bumped with news of a sale even though I've yet to actually pull the trigger on ordering.

I have to say when they were doing STLs they were well sculpted models for sure. Honestly a shame they pulled out of selling them since it looks like 3dprinting is the production path they are taking for a lot of the new lines they do (so they have to do all the stl and support work anyway).

That said they had some odd views on long-term stl access for those who bought them. Namely when they shut down stl sales they shut it all down. Ergo if you lose your file you cannot get it again.

There was a period of time when Rob had a chance to really do something with the miniature line (which I love) - when he was releasing a game!

But, then he released the game and...well, it didn't really end up being anything that took hold.

It really needs a revised, new edition that pares things done to a reasonable level.

But, has this window closed?

He did not remove them from mmf for those that got them that way. Basically they'll always be there if you have them as long as mmf is around.

As for STL quality they were all mostly good except for the mallox rework which was horrible.

I was thinking just yesterday while browsing the thread, "this needs a well priced 2 player intro set"
