I wonder how the order vs death battles are going to be addressed in the background? IIRC Godbeasts has Nagash's forces marching along side Stormcast at the end.

Check with your FLGS' on if they're running the campaign. I hear that stores participating are getting early store copies of the General's Handbook next week for it.

So the "Muster" thing is just a global campaign, correct? And presumably new armies and such.
Indeed, the AoS Facebook said that this campaign will mark the closing of the Realmgate series and the outcome will affect the next storyline. (So if you don't want to read about boring old chaos and the gross consequences from Nurgle taking the realm of life then fight for glorious Order. )

That leak seemed pretty bad, most rumors say the expansion will arrive in December.
Fitting as that'll certainly mean ol' saint Nagash will be going down the chimneys of all the good little ghouls and vampires and bringing them their new models.

Well it is rumored to come out June 22. Even if it doesn't there's tons of comps and fan-made balance systems to use.

Hopefully just in time for me to start a Death army. I'm basically just waiting for the official points system so I can use it to rally some of the WHFB players in my area. Don't see much point in starting an army I can't even use.

On the Warhammer Age of Sigmar Facebook page a similar question came up. The response from the GW team was that victories will be by Grand Alliance, but that Brettonians and Tomb Kings are welcome to submit (for Order and Death respectively). The rumour is also that points will be in the Generals Handbook for all models that have warscrolls - and given that you can still download the Brettonian and Tomb King warscrolls ( https://www.games-workshop.com/en-AU/Warhammer-Age-of-Sigmar-Rules) I think you can assume points for both of these armies, so there really shouldn't need to be a debate over whether they can participate in the campaign.

It wouldn't matter much anyway, they'd just be put them down as a proxy force of a either a random human force or undead disturbed from their tombs. The older editions did that as well.

Well at least destruction winning would mean they have less danger of losing anybody important. For others important guys(and generally not important guys) are effectively immortal so losing means squash do.

That's unfortunate. So if you want to help your faction win the campaign, just make sure you buy/build a army out of nothing but the best unit in your army and take more of them then your opponent. Atleast if your playing AoS " raw".
I know at my local GW's basically the way they have been playing age of sigmar is both players lay out the units they want to use and the employee on at the time "suggests" how to balance the forces. I imagen for FLGS they would just tell people to use some established comp system. (As far as I understand, the GW employees try to discourage people form using the comp rules because they are not "official"/ GW approved).
With the current way the armies are built their is so many outside influences on the match ups, it makes it hard to realy get invested. Past campaigns struggled with preventing people from manipulating the results, and feels the current state of age of sigmar just opens up a can of worms.

Apparently stores taking part in the campaign will receive an early copy of The General's Handbook in advance. This will allow players at the store to build their army for the campaign. The campaign will also have its own battleplans (4 of 'em).

Huh? there could easily be force orgs in the book. No one knows except it will have points. I really not understanding what your going for here. A points system will balance people from going "im taking 6 nagashes"
The points handbook is slated for store copy use July 1st. Then it releases 3-4 weeks later.
How they will keep track of wins/etc is when you win, your GW store or FLGS will give you a special card with a unique code. You go on the website, enter the code, and do the battle report.

Except you can't really. Cause there's only one Nagash, so it'd be silly to have multiples on the board.

Unfortunately, that's not what the AoS FAQ ruling preliminary said. There is, as far as I can remember off the top of my head, just one character with a "your army may only include one" rule and that is the Celestant Prime. I do agree with you that it would be silly to have multiples on the board, but...that seems pretty cut and dry.

Currently - yes.
But when the book comes, like I said, we don't know. The book could say for games with points as its their "tournament" style of play, they could easily have in the book only 1 of each named character for this type of play. From what ive been told, the book is very large, its not all just going to be "Name - Points for 5-10-15 etc per unit"

I very much doubt that they're going to do so. They had the opportunity with Grand Alliance: Death to rectify the mistake of multiple Nagashes but did not do so.

Who the hell cares!? Are we seriously arguing about whether or not you should be allowed to have multiple Nagashes?
1) If a player wants to spend that much cash to play a Nagash horde (which I sincerely doubt there is even ONE player who has or will do this, ever), then I genuinely feel sorry for them if they are doing it simply to "win" games. If they are doing it because they love Nagash like nothing else in this world... well, whatever, and they're probably a weirdo.
2) This is a ridiculous argument in general, picked out on purpose, in order to criticize AoS. Okay, so it's "technically legal". That's great. You've made your point, you obviously don't want to play the game, so why are you in here attacking it? Those of us that care about the News (this is a news thread, by the way, so keep that in mind) about the impending campaign are already discussing the details about the General's Handbook early release for stores and how we're going to play and blah blah blah... going on and on about multiple Nagashes is literally contributing nothing.

Heads up, Kan vs Points has been done to death in general discussion. Suffice it to say anything he says in regards to AoS points WILL be negative regardless of the circumstance. It'd be better to drop that subject with him now rather than drag this thread into yet another long debate.
Back OT; from what my flgs told me there is no official restriction on how games must be played (and how would they regulate it anyways) so players are free to use their comp of choice and report the results. Unless it is taking place in a GW store proper there shouldn't be any issue.

No, because the store owner has the code needed to enter the stats, so if you report that you won 100 times in the last week it will probably raise an eyebrow and go unrecorded.

No, it's someone's army. If you look there's both Stormcast and Sylvaneth stuff in there with heavy conversions on the Stormcast side.
