We teased you about it on Wednesday, and now we can reveal the new Stormcast Eternal Errant-Questor!

This Warhammer World Exclusive miniature will be available for the first time on August 13th at the Warhammer Age of Sigmar Open Day, along with some other items perfect for Ironjawz fans.

I'm really glad that they're showing a Stormcast Eternal without a helmet. In a way, it would make an SE army more interesting by showing the uniqueness of each warrior and their individual backgrounds, also just making the figures stand out more on the battlefield.

That being said, it's a fun miniature.

Poor ignorant guardsmen, it be but one of many of the great miracles of the Emperor! The Emperor is magic, like Harry Potter, but more magic! A most real and true SPACE WIZARD! And for the last time... I'm not a space plumber.

Nice that he is pretty easy to kit-bash with a mixture of the Lord Celestant and Liberator kits (or any of the kits with a Grandblade) and a Blood Angel head.

Now to wait for his Warscroll...

I Always like bare heads better for giving the models some personality.
But in a way its terrible for the stormcasts -should you glue on duardin, aelf, and seraphon heads popping out of the armour?
The other alternative is to say they are all reshaped as spacemarines, but in that case they should all be identical, kind of.

Actually, as I write it, I realise Id love some Lizard stormcast! Might have to fix up the starter Stormcast as such

Love the fact the Stormcast is bare-headed. I also thought about doing a series of Stormcast models with bare heads and painting them with black skin. I would prefer to have bald heads and more African features - but I guess this model can be painted white or black and still look good (he looks Indian to my eyes).

Bye bye Dakkadakka, happy hobbying! I really enjoyed my time on here. Opinions were always my own :-)

To answer the questions, a lot of them are answered on the Facebook post it is on. The model is confirmed to be plastic. The Ironjawz stuff is going to be a T-shirt and a Waaagh! Mug (don't know what makes it Waaagh!.)

And as for why aren't some Stormcast Aelves or Dwarves, on their Warscrolls they say Human as one of the keywords.

That could be a female. For someone who doesn't want boob plate armour, you sure do seem you want a sexy female though. That mini could be a female grunting just before the fatal blow.

Wasn't specifically referring to Stormcast (who should probably be pretty androgynous anyway). I would have loved to see some female Greatswords. Presently, female line troops seem pretty rare outside of elves, and those of the dark elf variety are pretty much the definition of stripperific.

So you're just assuming that they identify as male then?

It's a reasonable enough assumption because the fluff always refers to Stormcasts in the masculine tense when it comes out, even when just talking about the concept or term or nature of "Stormcasts" in general rather than individual Stormcasts.

I like it, probably my favorite Stormcast Eternal so far. It's a shame that it's an event exclusive for now. I'm thinking when it becomes available from the webstore I'll get it along with a box of Stormcast Paladins and some Blood Angels heads from Ebay and make nice thematic unit.

Is this guy's head the same size as a space marine's? From the bare-headed Sigmarines that others made, I seem to recall that the proportions were the same.

In regards to Stormcast race, I suspect it's a case of the vast majority (90+ percent) being human males such that while others exist they don't make it into model form. Though showing up in a novel would be nice...

I thought it was sort of heavily implied that the "reforging" process pretty much completely remakes them. They're all "blasted apart" and whatnot. It's not like they've done a diagram though. Good to finally see one without a hat on and dispel all the "rubric" bs.

I have painted a few with the helmet on, but instead of painting the face as the rest of the mask/helmet, I painted the face skin colour so they are still wearing a helmet but just no mask.

Tough to be a space marine without the truck-ton of cybernetics, bio-engineered super organs and total mental reconditioning.

These guys just got a magic body upgrade and some lightning magic. I think even chaos chosen have more abilities and powers than they do.

I mean, in design and intent sure, but in fluff not even close. To become a Space Marine, you have to be born on one of their recruitment worlds which can range from backwards and barbaric to a Hive World, then get selected, then go through a brutal training/indoctrination/surgical implantation process that kills more than half of the recruits (iirc). If you survive that, you go on what are essentially suicide missions because the Imperium tells you to, until you die and some dude with a white helmet harvests your organs to give to the next sod.

Stormcast Eternals are magically-infused humans who have great armor and weaponry and whose souls get zapped back to Sigmar when they die. They're mostly just humans with amazing gear and a respawn mechanic that consumes their humanity when they do it.

Haha, that was way better than my comment. Exalted.

I think the most shocking part of space marine initiation was when I read (from the Blood Ravens) that the marine is left completely cut open on the operating table without anything to dull the pain while the implants set-in.

I'll take being a red-shirt cannon fodder soldier over that agony any day.

One other thing is that they also feel fear and they are male and female. GW on facebook pretty much hinted they could also be females under the armor(They also note they are also female in a campaign books and white dwarf) I also recall that sigmar has not opened the third chamber yet. I suspect that's where our female stormcast will be perhaps they might be the wizard/anti wizard chamber or they might be valkyrie like who knows. Sigmar is an equal opportunity employer now look at the new warrior priest from sliver tower. I really like the multi ethnicity now. You are also correct that strength wise they are about the same as a chaos warrior, mannfred also note's that he is faster and stronger than a lord celestant if people want to gauge the strength of a vampire.

One other note for some reason the bonesplitterz is sold out also the beast claw raiders bundle has got destroyed in terms of orders in several territories.

It's the same with chaos as well now you got some with the old viking look but there are others mixed in if you look at the blood reaver box. Still I agree with you I am quite interested to see how they handle devoted of sigmar in the future.

In a superficial sense, Stormcast are very much fantasy Space Marines. They are superhuman; endowed with capabilities beyond a normal mortal, and have powerful equipment to boot. But beyond that the fluff gets progressively more different.

Yup let's be real here they were designed to appeal to space marine players. Yet fluff wise they are far apart as Gav Thorpe said fluff wise they are pretty much order versions of chaos warriors.

In some of the fiction(cant remember if it was Warbeast or one of the Bladestorm shorts) its mentioned that Stormcast rarely remove there armour. So they identify other Stormcast more by there voice and body language. So until GW contradict it, my headcannon is that they default to male pronouns and titles for simplicity's sake.
