Shame there doesn't look to be any new models(or even alternate poses) in the new WHQ. But if it leads to a cheaper price I might consider a purchase.

There is bound to be new models, ( I hope) they just have not revealed them yet. We are basing judgement on a box art. Although I admit there are no obvious new models on it.

Then again, this could just be a box of board tiles and dice with rules for using existing models in the game. It could also contain twelve empty sprues with instructions for converting them into the terrain shown in the box art. They said it was a long way off. I wouldn't make my purchasing decision based off of this announcement.

Exactly. I'm willing to bet a tenner that there will be now new models. It's obvious they would have been in the art if it was the case.


But as I said before, if they introduce some real campagin rules, and include stats for pretty much every models n the range (a la original WQ) this will be an instant buy from me, even if there's no new models. But unfortunately, I don't think it will be the case

It's going to be similar to gorechosen, gangs etc most likely a group of models at a decent price point.

Nothing else up as yet(9.30pm UK time). Could the new WHQ box be coming sooner than we think?

Either way, still excited for Stormcast Battletome! Hopefully it comes out in the first 3 weekends of February or it won't be legal for Adepticon.

Those would have to be preorder dates. Tzeentch Daemons won't be released until February 4th.

I doubt every model in the box is shown on the cover especially if this a full price release, although I can concede that it is likely that the models on the front are included and not new. But if full price I.e 95-100 quid surely there will be at least a couple of new mini's

Plus box art doesn't show that many minis.

Huh, I wonder if they are adding models for the Horrors, Flamers, or Screamers. Because all of those are price increases otherwise. First time that's happened on a repackage. Part of my is a bit annoyed because it could be a move to make the Start Collecting a better value.

Lame. I thought GW had stopped doing price hikes on existing kits. Pink Horrors went up $5. So did Screamers & Flamers.
I could see the Screamers and Flamers going to 6 per box (which would be sweet) but I doubt it. Pink Horrors surely wouldn't get any more per box

Are we assuming that the Blue Horror box includes Brimstones as well?

If GW paid attention to exchange rates, the US dollar price would go down.

Fingers crossed, maybe Flamers & Screamers are getting reboxed at 6 per box. After all, 6 infantry sized models for $25 is about right for tons of other kits. Flamers are not that much bigger than they other lesser Daemons that come 10 per box at $30.

It wouldn't be the first time an AoS repackage put 2 boxes worth into 1 at a discount (Crushers, Chaos Knights for example), although I am not sure those other boxes came with this much of a discount

I wouldn't be so bold. It's been pointed out with the high collared individual in the background obscured by the logo might be the main nemesis.It's a similar position to the gaunt summoner in the ST cover art.

As for the new prices, well . So much for the new and improved GW if those are price hikes. This is a bad sign if they are price hikes. That means we can probably expect a normalizing (aka across the board price hikes) of all products in the future. I hope it means instead there are more models per box, but I'm not holding my breath.

I strongly doubt they are price hikes.

Right now a box of pink horrors on the US GW site is 29 dollars. Seems like they are getting a hike of 6 bucks.

Well, we don't know what's in the new box - if the Blue/Pink Horrors come with Brimstone Horrors packaged in, it might not be so bad...

Again, I REALLY doubt they are identical boxes with a higher price. Look at the other reboxings: all price decreases. Look at the new Lord of Change: exact same price as the Bloodthirster. I'm willing to bet these will have extra models in them.

So I'm gonna put my prediction/hopes here for future reference:

Repacks:
$35 - 10 Pink Horrors with 32mm bases (ugh) and/or 10 Brimstone horrors (not fully committed to this, but it's a nice idea)
$35 - 10 Blues & 10 Brims
$35 - 6 Screamers
$25 - 6 Flamers
