I'm running a really cool converted glottkin as my nurgle knight. 375 points. The glottkin in AoS has these rules that could easily be used in 40k -

1. During the start of your magic phase every enemy model in base contact suffers 1 S1 attack, no saves allowed.
2. Any mon unit or nurgle daemon within 12" can reroll failed charges.
3. S3 breath weapon in cc, any wounds caused by his weapon, no armor saves allowed.
4. Hp +1 (this model has +2 wounds in AoS...)

Use in fun games? Points costs perhaps? +25 points?

Thoughts?

25 points isn't nearly enough for all that extra stuff. Also, you should probably post this in the Proposed Rules subforum.

Would I allow this ?

The YMDC answer: NO NEVER this isn't in the rules!

The proposed rules forum answer: NO! these powers are way too powerful for a measly 25 points.
Also things like "no saves allowed" are really really rare in 40k. Ap2 isn't that rare but no saves allowed is hard to find. Home-brews should preferably not include such rare game mechanics.

I'd be perfectly okay with you using the model in a casual game, but I'm with Kriswall. Your points level is a little low. I'd start at +50-75 points and see how that works out.

I'm with zoggy.
Also, additional HP on super heavies is a pretty big thing.
So adding another one alone would be far more than 25 points.

If you do the math on adding an extra '7th' HP, you should be adding around 1/6th (since you have 6 to begin with) of your points cost. So 1/6th of 375 is 62.5, let's round that down to 60pts, making a 7 HP Knight cost around 435 pts BEFORE all that extra stuff.

Yeah, it would just be for a fun game only. I'd round it up to 435-450ish. Thanks.

Remove this. really it doesn't work. There is no magic phase and no saves is way too strong. Look at the black mace for inspiration and then consider that it is one of the best weapons in the codex without having the huge base size.

You already have a stomp attack you don't need this.

2. Any mon unit or nurgle daemon within 12" can reroll failed charges.

-> Look at the restrictions and point costs of legacies of ruin to come up with a decent point cost for this.

3. S3 breath weapon in cc, any wounds caused by his weapon, no armor saves allowed.

NO! Just no a ap2 breath weapon in close combat forget it.
There is nothing like it in the game it might be better to avoid adding unique powers to your homebrew and you already have stomp you don't need this.

4. Hp +1

This should be costly

I appreciate that insightful info! I'll keep it simple and follow the imperial knight codex. Thanks!

I don't think that's fair at all. The cost of a model includes offense and durability, not just durability.

Nothing wrong with having that beautiful conversion be a "counts as" model.

Anyone who has a problem with that thing on the table counting as a Knight plays this game for the wrong reasons.

Leave the extra stuff for custom missions.

I'd be totally cool with someone using it as a counts-as Knight, but if someone brought a unit with new rules they made I'd be a little wary of playing it, personally.

They have rules for Nurgle Daemon Chaos Imperial Knights already, you could try to use those rules instead.

Also, very awesome conversion. I've seen someone locally do that conversion too.

Absolutely not.

But I would be fine with you using the model as a Renegade Imperial Knight.

However I'm not sure about the custom rules; super heavy walkers already have their stomp attack for a lot of melee clout in addition to their basic attacks. The only interesting rule really is the boost to Nurgle units, not sure what that would be worth; on a big unit you can cover a pretty large area, so the 25 points is probably fair for that.
