Hey guys!

I'd like to see how your boards look once you have set up all the terrain pieces.
I like designing the board almost as much as building the armies, so I am also very interested in seeing other peoples boards

Here is a recent picture of one of mine:

looking forward to seeing your boards!

Yup, I need more terrain. But it’s what I have. Don’t want this thread filling up with people’s awesome tables, making us ordinary joe’s feel bad about what we have.

it's not to make others feel bad, but rather to get ideas for what to do ;-)
So every picture is welcomed

Nothing special but this is our table, cluttered as it is. Lots of works in progress.

Its hard to be awesome, when your playing with little plastic men.
Welcome to Fantasy 40k

If you think your important, in the great scheme of things. Do the water test.

Put your hands in a bucket of warm water,
then pull them out fast. The size of the hole shows how important you are.
I think we should roll some dice, to see if we should roll some dice, To decide if all this dice rolling is good for the game.

There is a lot of self-selecting on people who respond to these kinda of threads. People with “meh” set ups tend not to post them. One of my ongoing goals here on Dakka is to try to represent the silent majority that generally doesn’t speak up.

We see a lot of amazing stuff here. For some, it is inspirational. But for others, it’s daunting. But whatever you have, it’s OK. I always enjoy seeing what other people are up to. The good, the bad, and the ugly!

Thats the right spirit!

PS: please try to keep it to terrain, if you have to many units its hard to see the board!

Man these look great! @SilverMK2 i'm especially looking forward to see what you come up with on that multi level setup.

I've always wanted to make a full board but have not gotten around to it yet. Here's one of mine from the last armies on parade. Eventually, when I get my work station set back up, I'd like to create a whole multi level board incorporating this kind of aesthetic. (Apologies for all the units, it's the only pic i've got right now)

On a side note - Does anyone else ever get hate at your local shops for using scratch material? I always get the impression at my local shop that if it's not GW it's crap.

That's an awesome board Nova! Would love to see a full one.

err, not here we don't, but then half the FLGS's stuff IS scratch etc.

I don't have a full board yet myself but I do have this little display board that I made to test out my swampy-ness terrain ability, as that's how I want to do the whole thing:

@Talys,

Every time I see the pics of your stuff, it makes me want to run out and buy three of every GW terrain kit, just to make something that's half as nice as what you've done there. Keep it up, it gives us "little guys" something to work towards

I love these kinds of threads. So this was old previous (attic) space with a huge table, and setup during one of our Apoc games. My new space is actually better but I've yet finish the tables and take some nice photos:

My Necromunda board from another thread - very very easy to replicate using the MDF laser-cut scenery and then attaching random bits of card and bits and bobs and then painting black - silver - dark brown - red brown - orange. Done!

Some nice boards in here...I don't have any 40K table pictures, only stuff from other games at the moment. Maybe in the future I'll have a it more dedicated 40K terrain.
