I'm just curious what the consensus is when using Warning! While a model is in Suppressive Fire mode.

When the model changes it's facing from Warning! Does it unleash suppressive fire on the model that shot it or for that matter the if a friendly was hit in its ZOC.

In this example I'm mainly concerned with using the new Ulan model so guts check isn't really an issue. But either way.

Does the attacker take suppressive fire in the face?

Is there's a topic for rules questions set up ?

Warning! is always performed at the end of the Order, in
the Conclusion, after the ARM/ BTS Rolls.

»»As Warning! is performed at the Conclusion of the Order, it
doesn’t generate an ARO.

p45 N3 rulebook.

So as it's at the END of the order, after all hit and armour/bts rolls are done, no, it won't take suppressive fire to the face.

Guts roll and warning happen at the end of the order after the dice rolls happen and do not generate an ARO.

It is worth noting that warning and guts rolls are neither an order nor an ARO.

Ok Cool Thanks Guys
So it gives me that "Next Order used on him" suppressive fire to the face.

I can't wait to run the Ulan its "The model" I've been waiting for and I'm not disappointed. Any Suggestions on how to get 2 and loose the Tik?

Been reading This such a great thread

Thanks for the Help guys

Swap with a mate?
I don't have the box yet (but when I do, I will be evaluating the chances of converting the tik across to a second uhlan (all depends on whether the uhlan bits will fit on the tik chassis - like the dragao/jotum - or not)

Doesn't change facing break the model's suppression fire status?

Tier 1 is the new Tactical.

Yup.

Shoot at him from outside of LoF or range (suppressive fire has a 24" max range). They either eat the shot or drop suppression in order to declare any another ARO.

"Also of note, use of Warning! to re-position the TAG without breaking suppression fire. Because of remote presence and their high armour values TAGS are particularly good at utilising the Warning! rule to turn and re-position themselves to face an enemy buy ignoring the initial attack and then kill the enemy unit in its next order."
from Daboarder's
A primer on Tactical Armoured Gear operations

So once you perform warning with a TAG like the Uhlan if the model that shot you opens himself up for an ARO you get suppressive fire.

Between the smaller size, nice statline, camo, versatile weapons at 100 a piece I'm really digging the Uhlan

I might buy 2 boxes and chop it all to bitz and rebuild 2 sick Uhlans.

That list looks familiar...

...who is your Lt.?

I'm guessing one of the Fusiliers, but...

It would have to be a Fusilier. Uhlans don't have a Lieutenant option like the Squalo does.

Oh Snap!
Ok so loose the journalist...

A fusilier is Lt. I figure a hacker, a couple of repeaters, Engineer and some palbots as support, Forward observer

I have a few ideas on tactics. I think its really going to be a learn to play with what I like the most thing.
