... loyalist Primarchs to come back from the dead or limbo to turn the tide against Chaos (only).

My vote would be Guilliman for his strategic value and Russ for his combat prowess.

What's yours?

Guilliman and Russ. I'd love to see Russ and his Wolves clean up the Cadian gate. Guilliman would definitely help shore up the Imperium's crumbling defences.

Horus and Konrad.

They return learning about what the gods truly want and curbstomp Chaos with their combined might and terror tactics.

Then Horus leads his refounded Luna Wolves to sack terra and displace the Emperor (hey, nothing said they would be fighting FOR the Imperium ) while Kurze becomes his enforcer, weeding out all of the corrupt and traitorous villains from the new Imperium.

EDIT: Oh wait you said loyalist. WELP. I still stand by my choice but I guess Sanguinius and Vulkan (well he's not really dead but I do want him back). They're the bro-est of the primarchs.

Didn't Konrad sort of give up on that whole justice thing after his Legion became one of murderers and rapists?

And in pure better-for-the-future terms, Sanguinius and Vulkan probably would be the best.

Kurze didn't so much as give up on Justice, rather that he no longer saw the Emperor's "version" of justice as pure, since the Emperor chastised him for the cleansing of Nostramo, despite that act not being objectively different from what his legion had to do to other non-imperial planets during the great crusade.

I would imagine if he was revived and Horus installed as the new leader of the Imperium, he would feel a lot more satisfied in exacting his brand of "justice" to scare the populous of the new Imperium into line. Horus would certainly not be above such things.

Lion, because I play Dark Angels.
Dorn, because I also play Imperial Fists.

Lol, just kidding
Robot Girlyman: for his strategic thinking and ability to work in a team. Unlike some people *cough*traitors*cough*
And
Horus: he pretty much killed the Emperor, that makes him pretty strong, right?

P.S: OP, I know you said *loyalist* but I'm sure Horus has learned his lesson now

Sanguinius, the best to my mind, and either Dorn, because he is the fething guardian of Terra and the Emperor !
Or maybe Corax, because the people of the Imperium needs hope now more than never, and he can give them hope.

Roboute so Fulgrim can finish what he started and rid the galaxy of papa smurf.

The Lion so Fenris can get royally pounded by a primarch as well as several Imperial fleets and a Daemonic incursion.

I would not want any of the primargs I really liked in in the myths to return to 40k. That would break the break the illusion. But Sanguinius and Corax can return. They are interesting enough to follow, but I wouldn't mind if their characters get twisted.

It'd be great to see Guilliman come back and start gearing up the Imperium Secundus again. The Imperium is already fractured, with plenty of infighting, it'd be nice imho to see some widescale factionalism rather than the relatively petty squabbling between various chapters and institutions. It'd also be great if Ferrus Manus came back just to prove all the Iron Hands fanfic about him to be true.

The real question is would the galaxy be big enough for both Guilliman and Calgar?

Gulliman is one of the best organizers and a valuable for securing up the crumbling imperium. And can also command loyalty of alot of the arastes successors.

Russ. One he is a agressive counterpart for the battles. And fixing space wolf gene seed. Wolves turn into werewolves when exposed to chaos and are harder to corupt.

Good to fight chaos.

Why only two? They've set up ways for a lot of them to return in the fluff; Vulkan, the Lion, and Gulliman are still alive in their sarcophagi, the Khan, Russ, and Corax are just going to show up complaining about the space-GPS leading them on a circuitous route, we haven't seen Dorn's body, Mephiston is slowly turning into Sanguinius. No idea about how Ferrus Manus would come back, though.

Russ rocking the 0-1 record against the Lion. I'm sure the sweaty space barbarian will do great...until he gets bored or something. Pfft.

Anyway, the best choices for Primarchs to come back and actually win this thing for the Imperium, Gulliman and a toss up between Dorn and the Lion.

Well if Russ actually managed to find and swoon the eldar goddess of life, and got the fruit from said tree of life. Having him come back could mean Rawbutt Girlyman would be able to be healed as well. So i would pick Lion and Russ, because then it would be Girlyman by proxy if russ managed to do his job.

The whole reason russ is missing in the first place, or at least thats what some of the space wolves think. He went into the warp to find the mythical tree of life that has fruit that can heal any wound, supposedly in Isha's realm with in the warp uncorrupted by the demons. If he managed to find said fruit he supposedly was gonna give it to the emperor but you know, skeleton, so give it to rawbutt girlyman and bam! Thats assuming the myths and rumors are true.

No, there is no such thing as a siguinor. However the Sanguinor do excist. But It is a far cry from the Primarch of the Blood Angels. If said individual came back a lot more things would happen than has ever done while the Sanguinor has been flying around

There is a very large difference between a fragment of a Primarch and said Primarch once more serving the Imperium
