Is 'Eavy Metal Calling?

You say 'the arm has a mouth', the Magos says 'you can jam a cable in there connected to his eye via the left lung and the job's a good'un!'

The question is, though, when is a SLAUGHTERPRIEST WITH HACKBLADE not a SLAUGHTERPRIEST WITH HACKBLADE?

Here's mine! I almost Chaos Marine-ified him, but instead may I present... The Aberrant Prime!

I converted and painted him in three hours. I used P3 paints and Army Painter Strong Tone wash.

The pose is a pain to photograph! May do a spinny video to better show it off.

Jealous that Horus is Warmaster

Not painted yet, but here's my WIP:

I wanted to have the chain attached to some sort of pet. The gryph-hound doesn't look quite right - feel like it should be straining at the leash/angry, rather than the imperious pose he has, but I couldn't find anything better in my bits box

EDIT: I've just realised what he reminds me of:

Proof!

I'm not doing anything unique with mine, but I'll try and post regular WIPs as it might interest those who have never worked with white undercoat before.

Bye bye Dakkadakka, happy hobbying! I really enjoyed my time on here. Opinions were always my own :-)

Ahaha oh man, damn. I picked up the White Dwarf 'cause I really wanted to paint the SLAUGHTERPRIEST!! with HACKBLADE!!! anyway (even though I have zero plans to keep it afterwards), but I was telling myself I'm not allowed to paint it until I finish painting my current model.

But now you guys might make me break that resolve, dangit. XD

Haven't painted mine yet, but thought I'd share my SLAUGHTERPRIEST WITH HACKBLADE, who I've turned into a Slaaneshi Chaos Lord

Excuse me sir, do you have a moment to talk about our Lord and Saviour, Slaanesh?

Also sports a kick-ass crest gracing his helmet:

Tactical_Spam: Ezra is fighting reality right now.

War Kitten: Vanden, you just taunted the Dank Lord Ezra. Prepare for seven years of fighting reality...

War Kitten: Ezra can steal reality

Kharne the Befriender:Took him seven years but he got it wrangled down

Some awesome conversions in here! The Genestealer is inspired, and the Slaneesh lords are very nicely done!

Is anyone going to do one up as Kharn the Betrayer, just to spite GW for pricing him so absurdly?

I've already glued mine together, but seeing these conversion ideas, I'm tempted to buy another one. I've never converted anything, but this looks like quite a good place to start.

Wouldn't most head look too small though? He's a big bugger.

No moreso than it already does, I reckon. The head is not really any larger than, say, an unhelmeted Space Marine already, so other than stuff like elf or Guardsman heads, you should be all right. I'd hazard a guess pretty much any Bloodbound/Warriors of Chaos head would work fine.

haha...you guys are too good!

I was literally just coming here to ask about just how big he is, specifically, wondering if an ork boy head would work on him...I was going to try and do a face-swap with a helmeted ork head and a helmetless marine head/guardsman head or something...although that in itself might not work....hmm...

That sounds interesting. I'd like to see that.

Think it'll be a putrid blightking head for me.

I was thinking of trying to make him 40K but I don't think I have an army he would sit right in. No amount of converting is going to turn him into a Dark Angel or a Harlequin/Dark Eldar.

As for Age of Sigmar, I play Sylvaneth, so that's not going to work either. I have a box of Kataphron Destroyers I haven't built yet, so maybe I could raid that and turn him into some kind of cyborg. They might be around the right size.

I better make sure I don't use any bits I'd need for the destroyers though. That's a £30 box I bought just because I liked the miniatures, and which I really couldn't afford, so I can't render them unbuildable!

I don't really have a bits box, unfortunately, as I don't really do conversions.
