I have decided to give it a go at Necrons and I am quite happy how they are turning out. Here is my necron Lord, she is converted from pieces from the Command Barge Lord and bits left over from building a box of Lich Guard. I tried to spend as much time painting her as I could, but it went pretty fast and after a couple of hours I could not help but say she is done.

The whole model looks real good but I HATE boobs on Necrons. Excellent paint, creative use of parts, neat tentacle legs. But, ugg... boobs.

Very nice conversion. But you are aware that Necrons literally don't have boobs, anywhere, right?

On a serious note, that's a really cool conversation, what did you use to make the headdress?

The headress is part of the warsyth blade and one of the loincloths cut up, the top became the decoration in front and the bottom cut in half became the dangling bits.

she needs some eyeliner Cleopatra style to bring some more "she" to the model maybe even some Cleo hair under that head dress., 'cause lets face it a lot of us in this hobby are guys and have boobs..........:( and that don't make us girls......just saying .


but I love this model by the way I could see using a similar look for a great lady warp smith/dark Mechanicus

Eye makup is a great idea, I'll look into it. Hair, I don't know. Maybe if i can make it look mechanical.

I almost did not see it, but I love the scarab hanging out on the second model's shoulder! Almost like the captain's parrot except way more subtle and intimidating.

At first I was going to agree about no-boobs, but Necron Lords can be a bit crazy from being damaged by their long sleep. See Trayzan's hording and Zandrahk thinking he's still made of flesh.
You could easily say that these sisters developed a data breach/virus that causes them to have a kind of vanity that makes them decorate and augment themselves to look more like they did when they were living female Necrontyr.

I got an idea, remember those golden mask pharos are burried in? Well I decided to put a gold mask on the second one. (I also added some gold highlights on her too.)
