Without the BaC set I never would have ordered a spartan or anything else HH related because now the entry cost into the game drastically cheaper than before. It creates good business for both overall.

Never thought I would have seen this day.

Less people will be buying those things from FW, but the idea probably is to get more people buying heresy stuff, so then they'll go to Forge World for the vehicles, characters, legion specific units, weapons etc. So they might lose sales on the basic stuff that's now in plastic, but probably gain sales in everything else.

Besides the add on upgrade packs and the like, there is also the fact that in large volumes, the profit margin on plastic is higher then resin. So even if they sell the same number of kits, they make more money.

Plastic has a higher up-front cost, but less cost per mini. So for bulk things like basic troops, it makes a lot of sense.

And in addition to all that it takes pressure of FW's production facilities as they don't have to keep churning out basic marines.

Hi guys,

Am I the only one who sees a sister in plain sight?

Let me elaborate; the first time I looked at the picture I saw Custodes, TS and a misshapen figure inbetween. Later when people start indicating a SW I saw it too and it was part of the misshapen mini. But with the Wolf being blonde there is a mini right behind him too. Its very slim and on a smaller base.

I defenitely see a sister in this mini.

Yes thats it. I see it clearly as a seperate mini. I at least hope it is. But as it stands it is allready beond my wildest dreams this set is about to drop.

I think there is a certain context that's important... FW has certain production volume limitations, some of the stuff phased out over the last 2 years from their catalog was to accommodate more new stuff... FW moved into a larger production space this year but GW's attitude about it appears to be this is all they'll get and that if FW needs more capacity GW will take the burden instead expanding FW anymore. When GW takes over sales of certain models by selling plastics the volume of that model FW has to produce declines and their resources can be reallocated.

While it might not at first make sense that GW would replace a premium product with a more moderately priced one... It does when you consider that GW plastic kits have a higher margin... Resin is more labor intensive and has more regularly occurring reinvestment costs as molds wear out... Simply put GW makes more from selling $200 worth of plastic kits then $200 worth of resin models. The investment in plastic only makes sense when the expected volume is high enough; to that end FW can serve as a gauge for that.

Ill have to wait till we get better pictures, the custodes look really derpy and bow legged

The custodes did have a detachment of the sisters of silence with them during this battle

Well, plus sadpanda said Sisters of Silence would be included in this release.

Makes me wonder what Duncan was painting that he said during the Warhammer World livestream but he couldnt tell us and we would find out in about 2 months. I thought it was this but since models are obviously already done, I wonder what that little secret project was.

Hope its new Tzeentch stuff.

Also, so this box will release during next month right?

Would be the assumption. I have heard from two GW distributors that Prospero will come out in Oct. Which would make sense as the Mag in Nov talks about it and will prob have battle reps on it.

I am like you my friend. Sadly after seeing this cover, I don't think Genestealer Cult is coming out in October now. After all don't you think they should be the one to grace the cover of a White Dwarf magazine? So maybe November or like (sorry forgot his name) said that GSC will not be released this year like he though would be. As for the teaser GW put out, it could be or the Deathwatch video game. Seems like GW is hyping up video games now.

The November White Dwarf will get released on the first Friday of that month. Preorder of the game could be the next day. November 5th.

Can`t wait to chaosify all these models

If you're looking at what I think you're looking at, it looks to me like the Space Wolf has an old school back banner, and not a model right behind him.

Truth be told, this picture is way too small and fuzzy for much of anything to be clear, and I can't help but wonder how much of what we think we're seeing is just what we want to see.

Whose is this towards? From what I thought, White Dwarf talks about what came out before it, not what is coming afterwards. So if the WD comes out in November, they are talking about what came out in October. Has this changed and I am wrong once again?

We've only had one issue so we don't really know for sure. But in September, Kharn and Traitors hate went up for preorder the day after.

The models in the background you can see legs that look like the sisters of silence. Looking foreword to better pics. I kinda hope the sisters of silence will work for 40k sisters.

Plastic tartoros termies is a HUGE deal for 30k players. Tartoros armour is a really good choice for a lot of the consoles but the problem is converting them.

Plastic will make converting them a lot easier.
