First, it's only a handful. Although they are loud AF.

Second, the best part will be seeing whether they actually sell.

If the Sisters of Silence add-on packs don't sell in comparable numbers to the Custodes packs, guess what that confirms for GW Management pushing back against SoB updates, etc?

Alas, such a sad story.
After getting plastic Sisters of Silence, also getting an update for the Sisters of Battle seems about as likely as getting an update for Bretonnia:

The Sisters of Silence likely will be more or less an replacement for the SoB, considering how similar in theme they both are.

Sad news is sad.

New Sisters of Silence models looks amazing, but I'd prefer new Sisters of Battle plastics.

Here's to a continuation of boycotting purchases made directly to GW 40k tabletop until SoB gets the release they so deserve.

I remember my stint as a rumormonger on DakkaDakka. It lasted less than 12 hours and I doubt anyone even remembers it. At least I ended my short, glorious career with a perfect accuracy rate though.

See, I guess.... unlike most rumormongers, I wasn't really doing it to make a name for myself and I had no intention of it being a long-term thing. What happened was, I was getting my White Dwarf subscription via mail at the time, and I was reading Dakka late one night when I spotted a comment speculating what might come next month. As I had received my WD in the mail a day or two earlier, I was confused, since people should already know what was coming. So I kept reading more and more speculations, and came to the conclusion that my White Dwarf had actually arrived before schedule, and I had access to information no one else on Dakka did.

So, I decided to share what I knew. I made a thread in News and Rumors announcing I had somehow received my WD before it was supposed to come out. I asked what information people wanted to know, and how I could prove it without tripping GW's legal department for copying parts of their magazine for upload. I then spent the next few hours taking photos, more photos, typing descriptions, confirming/denying what was coming, and literally doing my absolute best effort to provide Dakka with all the information they wanted to know.

The results of my efforts... were such, that I decided that should I ever receive a WD in the mail early again, I would never tell Dakka. I would never make any effort to let you guys know what was coming. Ever.

Because the fruits of my labors were essentially that despite all the proof I had provided, despite all the lengths I had gone to, despite all the information I had provided... The information I provided was essentially dismissed as mere rumor, for the pure and simple reason that it did not line up with what rumormongers had said was coming without offering any sort of evidence whatsoever apart from their dubious reputation, horrid accuracy rates, and their word. The photos I had taken and uploaded almost resulted in my image hosting account being shut down entirely, because GW's legal team had filed C&D orders with the hosting site and I was informed that continued infractions would result in losing my account.

My efforts to inform you guys with the truth were ignored because you preferred the words of people whose position is literally called "rumormonger" over photographs of White Dwarf pages. My efforts to prove what I was saying almost resulted in me losing access to a ton of stored artwork and screenshots and photographs I would never be able to get back.

And as such, I resolved never to help you guys again if I ever get info like that again.

I think that given the reaction on facebook and the huge numebr of people excited for this there are more than a couple.....?

Perhaps rumourmongering is not for you then

Seriously though, that's some length you would go to to try and inform people. I know that, after the last News and Rumours thread I took part in, I have no intention of sharing any information I might potentially find in the future, and I didn't even have any information last time.

If you look at my post history, my very first post was to let people know about 5th Edition 40K about 6 months before it came out. The replies were downright hostile. It was almost enough to put me off of posting to dakka.

I just read the thread... I think this sums it up about right:

I made sure to get the smallest image I could find of Picard, since I got shot at last time I posted an image in N&R because it was considered to be too large. Sheesh...
