The Plasma Obliterator was always plastic, it just wasn't the typical GW plastic since it was made in China.

It's a cool model tho.
$20 says there is formation network that combines the Reactor, Pipes, and Obliterator. Probably with something that makes the Gets Hot less likely.

They are a type of Beastman. Beastman just means human mixed with animal. GW have stuck with goats for so long it's refreshing to see other types of Beastman, imho.
Chaos Snake men making a come back would be cool

EDIT: To illustrate what I mean, a little thought experiment:
The year is 2022, a person you're introducing to the hobby elects to play Space Marines and you vaguely recall a really cool fan vehicle conversion that the GW web team gave rules too years ago you'd like to show them, but don't remember its name, subfaction, or when it was posted: how do you find the rules for the Razorback Rikarius? There's no searchable archive of content, no listing of content by faction or type, and you don't have enough information to parse a general internet search successfully, so, what; ask around and hope someone else remembers or has a copy saved? Manually browse back through thousands of blog posts, one at a time, using the calendar widget?
Yeah, exactly - bad design.
It won't be that hard to find, GW will produce the kit and it will be a standard unit for the Space Marine army, having been with them since M32...
Also, on Magnus - those aren't boob horns, it's simply a convenient place for him to rest his sword.
It never ends well

A fantastic advert, really well done and looks like GW really is turning around. It truly must be the year of the Apocalypse and I could be a rich man if I went with my gambling gut.
Successfully predicted this year;
Leicester Premier League
Brexit
Trump
GW u-Turn
Mayan Calender 4 years off
I'm celebrating 8 years on Dakka Dakka!

I was laughing all through it. That is an excellent ad. GW is really progressing in their marketing and media department.
I get a very Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon feel from it, for those that remember the awesome trailers and game. Which is a good thing. That sort of over-the-top, 80s/90s style, that now is retro and tongue-in-cheek in all the right ways.
Hopefully this is another sign of GW turning itself around, as discussed in this video;
Homebrew Imperial Guard: 1222nd Etrurian Lancers (Winged); Special Air-Assault Brigade (SAAB)
Homebrew Chaos: The Black Suns; A Medrengard Militia (think Iron Warriors-centric Blood Pact/Sons of Sek)

LMFAO. That is so 80's. Only thing, what is with the weird accent?

Well played, GW, well played. They really are starting to become a company that I can like.
Thanks for this comment I just have changed my view.
They are passed the "well played" now. I say it was "well played" when they were showing the Magnus the Red mini and slipped in "plastic sisters". As much as I say this is "smoke and mirrors" GW is doing a great and fun job now. I always say baby steps so maybe I should stop saying "smoke and mirrors" now and let them keep doing their baby steps. Thank you for your comment it opened my eyes that GW shouldn't be rushing to get better even though I want cheaper prices right now.

Thing is, GW is a British company, and for us Brits who remember these naff adverts from the 80's and 90's, that is exactly how ours sounded!

Glad I could help?! It's been creeping up on me of the last few months, but it's now got to the point where I actually get a little "yes!" Moment when I see that they've posted something new up and not because it means there is a new product coming out, but just for the entertainment value of the announcement in and of itself. They still have further to go, but fundamentally it feels like the creatives are back in charge (or at least have a strong voice again) and they've regained the ability to not take themselves too seriously.

Loopstah wrote: Any ideas when we can expect leaks of the Xmas megaforce contents? Don't want to buy to much now in case they are a better deal.
The most recent rumour is that they will be next weekends preorder. If so, we should get info tomorrow. Failing that they will be in the new white dwarf. Info from that should start appearing in a week or so.
There is also a good chance of a black Friday sale this year. Unless you want one of the new releases, I would wait.

It is an actual rumour, but it is just a rumour. As I said if you wait till people start getting white Dwarfs a week on Monday, you will have a pretty good idea what is coming for the rest of the year
