So, I need some podcasts. My job requires hours and hours of just sitting around, doing nothing and staring off into space for 8 hours. So, can someone recommend me some good podcasts?
I like ones about Movies, Miniature gaming, Random topics and so forth. Hell, Audio Dramas could help too. just something to help me not loose my sanity.

RT Podcast. They got around 400 of them now. Plus they are in both video and mp3 to from 200 and up I thought. Lots of topics and randomness, nothing about wargaming though. All of them are free. Only an subscription option if you want to see it a few days earlier/live.

Poor ignorant guardsmen, it be but one of many of the great miracles of the Emperor! The Emperor is magic, like Harry Potter, but more magic! A most real and true SPACE WIZARD! And for the last time... I'm not a space plumber.

The Weekly Planet is a good one, mostly focused on comic book movies but usually covers all sorts of fantasy/sci-fi films, the odd bit on video games and TV shows, always very funny.

I enjoy this one

https://www.thebritishhistorypodcast.com/

History the way it is meant to be heard.

History is human. History is drama. History is our story, and it belongs to all of us.

The BHP is a chronological retelling of the history of Britain with a particular focus upon the lives of the people. You won't find a dry recounting of dates and battles here, but instead you'll learn about who these people were and how their desires, fears, and flaws shaped the scope of this island at the edge of the world.

This show is intended to be listened to in order, if you start with the most recent episode you will almost certainly become lost. So if you're new, why don't you listen to the first episode and find out what the show is all about. If you're eager to begin learning about Britain right away... check out episode two which will take you a whirlwind tour of prehistoric Britain. And of course, make sure you take advantage of the Official Way to Listen to the Show.

"I will admit that some Primachs like Russ or Horus could have a chance against an unarmed 12 year old novice but, a full Battle Sister??!! One to one? In close combat? Perhaps three Primarchs fighting together... but just one Primarch?" da001

There is also The Worst Idea of All Time

"The Worst Idea Of All Time is a podcast hosted by Guy Montgomery and Tim Batt, two New Zealand comedians who watched Grown Ups 2 once a week, every week for a year. The duo then watched Sex and The City 2 52 times. They are currently watching WE ARE YOUR FRIENDS. 52 times."

I second this. They're enjoyable, and quite informative too. I really like the ones about the Mongol Empire.

If you have the disposable income, you could also consider getting an Audible account. Quite a few of the books I got from it are at least 15 hours long.

Alternatively, get their 30 day free trial. That gives you a token you can redeem for any book you want.

Then go to cancel your subscription and they'll offer some sweeteners to keep you around, one of which is another free token. Use that one, download the books and stick them on an iPod or other device of your choosing and then cancel your subscription. Congrats, you've got 2 free audiobooks!

You can then repeat this with a different debit/credit card. It's how I got Terry Pratchett's Bromeliad Trilogy in a digital format (also have them on cassette tape ).
