I like a lot of what GW have been doing over the past 12-18 months. But they still continue to throw a wrench in things every so often just to piss me off

I fully understand. Just like the OLD White Dwarf, GW expect us to pay for their advertising.

While I am slowly understanding these Twitch and what not services, it still boggles my mine that GW wants us to pay for everything. This is why I SWEAR GW would charge us the very air we breathe in their stores if they could. I mean this is a time period where GW should be expending and getting the word out for "fresh blood". People shouldn't have to pay and get the word out for you, you need to do it your self.

Perfect example. Someone said Mantic. Ok, I thought let me see what this is. "OH I have to pay to watch this content? Not thank you and I still don't know what Mantic is."

Just like for GW. How on earth is GW going to expect to get new and fresh blood or people into "their hobby"? This is the stuff that should be free and trying to make up for all the wrong they have done. Guess it's same old GW trying to squeeze every penny you can. Yes I know they are a company and need to make money. Thing is, they are a company that have burnt a lot of bridges and have a long way of going before they become fully accepted again.

Then again what do I know. I barely know how to use Facebook. I don't know what Twitch really is. I don't know how to tweet. Time has passed me by so I guess I am missing something here when I have to pay for advertising.

I don't think anyone is buying this for the game. It's the minis first, and maybe the game second. But I don't think one person said "I am buying this for the game only."

But you do not have to pay to watch the streams ?!

That price is excellent, when you get it through an online discounter, it's going to be even sweeter. Couple of boxes of this game and you have the solid start of a Dark Eldar Army.

You can still watch Twitch streams without paying. Warhammer TV runs it's chat in sub-mode which means that if you want to type messages you need to be a paying subscriber, but watching it is free.

That meme would work better if it actually had a pic of Rikmans Galaxy Quest character rather than Severus Snape.

£35 is bloody amazing, a single set each of Hellions and Reavers together comes to more than that, and theres 2 of each in the box!

You're seriously kidding, right?
I like the models in this game, but to me they are a perk, not what makes it a product.

For example, gorechosen is a brilliant game. I bought it, then immediately rethemed it since I think that the khorne angle, while very fitting, is not to my liking. So I just made it into a kaiju brawl game. The citadel models are of zero consideration.

Its pretty amazing how wrapped up in the "hobby" people can be and ignore every other aspect of gaming. Kirby would be proud.

It's going to be limited on release, though. So speak to your FLGS managers, so they book a copy for you, so you won't have to wait until it's back in stock or be tempted to buy from ebay scalpers.

Anyone thinking of getting some cheap alternative Harlequin Skyweavers might wanna pick this box up. Just cut off the rear fin of the Reaver and glue the Hellion skyboard ontop.
Should get 6 Skyweavers this way for half the cost of buying the 3 boxes of the actual Skyweavers.
Cut off the spikey bits and glue on some masks (the Star weaver alone has a ridiculous amount of extras) and Boom! Half price Skyweavers!

I'm with you, I'm probably more interested in the game mechanics. I have several other manufacturer's miniatures for jetbikes and hoverboards. I'm interested in the models too, but that's not my primary motivation to get the box.

If I buy this it will be for the game.

Gangs running around on fast movers slinging chains with blades, hammers, and other deadly implements is up my alley.

I was always one of those wacky kidz running around with dual scissors cutting up the other children. Additionally, using the gangs as army starters, as you slowly add in gladiators, Dark Eldar troops, and small contingents of additional deadly toys is also a good reason to visit Brother Vinnie, and defile more Sisters of Battle...

Additionally, I have an old Dark Eldar Warlord who I am digging out that is entirely on board with this...

At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money.

As others have said, it seems so, but I don't know how it works. When I click on a link it says I can't watch it because I am not a member. So if you can watch it for free, I don't know how. Again this technology has passed me by now and I feel old.

Crap. Was hoping it would be $80 or so.
Didn't want to even consider it as an option.

Thirded. Game means more than minis to me but hope they have some game play videos up on youtube before this drops.
