I'm gonna need Mushashi. The boxed set did nothing for me, but this is amazing. Much more dynamic, with more movement to the Skort(tm) and clearly challenging another opponent. Damned fine.

I don't like the aesthetics for Fat Panda and Catgrrl, but there's no sculpting duds. This would be fun to paint.

Shame the anime boxed set fell so short.

I'm really liking Musashi, Wild Bill and the Nomad witch. Even though CB is saying no compatibility with infinity I do wonder how long until some of them get non-its merc rules.

The Aleph character has detached and floating limbs. This is a new aesthetic and technology level altogether.

Aristeia is supposed to be a multicultural group of people that speak different languages. She could be Spanish especially considering she's probably a Nomad.

It's not too much of a step away from the character "Catwoman".

We have thespian wrestlers in the US named "Rock" "Hulk" "Undertaker" and other nouns.

IIRC rumours has it that the models are monopose plastic since it is a boargame.

"Cat" is fairly common in North America, as a diminutive of "Catherine". So it's not particularly exotic.

Its the same in Greek, Gata (well technically γάτα) still she is going to a celebrity around here just for her name and the conversation she will give on the game.

These are game pieces for a board game, not miniatures for a tabletop game. They could just as well be some form of *Bonesium* and still be acceptable... for a board game. Very few boardgamers want to assemble or paint minis. Standards for board game pieces are quite distinct from those for TTGs.

Now CB may release, as a Limited Edition or even a regular release, metal versions of some of the minis, in addition to Lunah and Musashi.

The Jotum arm shield on Maximus is a cool touch.

So assuming these will be a boardgaming style plastic? Hopefully something approaching the quality of Zombicide: BP or the Walking Dead game..

Very characterful looking sculpts, something a bit different to the miniature game (get the feeling they don't have the same detail level as the wargame miniatures, although that is to be expected)
And hopefully something that will be fun and a bit less full on than the miniature wargame.

I'll add that I think that they are very nice game pieces. Better than what came with Myth or the D&D adventure games for certain. I don't know about the games Pacific cited.

I wonder how it will be received by the Boardgaming Community.

Well until told otherwise I think it's a safe assumption that these are resin masters and they don't have plastic samples ready to show yet. While I've seen some really nice PVC stuff (like Conan and CMoN) I'm not going to jump to assuming these are those as we all know that the melee weapons and tails would be bent in the final release.

I will be at Gencon so I'll see about getting a demo.

Conan is another good one, pieces for that were for the most part excellent.

Doesn't look like it even has an entry on BGG yet!

They all look incredible, love the panda guy and the cat girl, very Bakunin; although the Hexer sculpt is probably the standout in the box. They sent the beta out to warcors to test it and report back, CB again showing how to engage with the community while at the same time improve their product.

After watching the video Carlos seems very proud of the gameplay which is very promising, although I would probably still buy it for the sculpts even if it played like Dreadfleet.

I love the miniatures but don't really want to buy another board game. I hope they release them for Infinity with some kind of mercenary profile that all factions can take.

I hope that they eventually release proper Infinity versions of all of these Ariesteia characters too...I mean, no way they don't eventually, right?

Also, does anyone have a list of the Warcors who are also active on Dakka Dakka?

Expect a light August as GenCon tends to swallow things up.

July releases come out on the 21st according to The Warstore.
