But then that means he has no weapon in that hand. A "pistol" or grenades at his belt. What's on his left (our right) shoulder though that's huge? And that weapon certainly looks like a sword, maybe like the seer weapons which widen near the end. It's curious that in that pick he's accompanying craftworld eldar with absolutely no dark eldar in sight. That would suggest he has a strong craftworld link, but the complete lack of any Iyanden is a point against it being Yriel.

It could still be Yriel though. Just because he's there doesn't mean Craftworld and Dark Eldar would still be in the same place at the same time. Both sides may like him, but that doesn't mean they like each other. Automatically Appended Next Post: I'd like to know what all that crap is around his sword hand

Not really. Yriel was a Corsair at one point and it is comfirmed that his fleets colors were indeed red. If anything, that is a point FOR Yriel.

When were the Eldritch Raiders' colours changed to red? They used to be the original eldar colours! Blue body and yellow helmet with tiger stripes.

Exodite are Eldars who gave up on Eldar society before the Fall and started over in uninhabited planets. Actually tough as naill uninhabited planets on purpose so it was extra difficult to survive and colonize. Think Eldar riding Dragons / Dinossaurs shooting lasers.

My own personal Wild Swing it's a whole new character or an Old one taking a different role.
Most of eldar myths are based in the inmortality/reenactment of the past. This is often explained as their Greatest heroes not being single individuals but a group of Eldar taking the *name* and role of the previous hero and continuing his deeds (further explained as Phoenix lords and Exarch soul gems)
Harlequins have an special formation wich represent a Dance Heroes Path wich represent Eldanesh Ulthanast and fate (in sort the greatest Eldars heroes)
So we have a Craftworlder, Dark Eldar and Harlequin Triumvirate (the looking for gryrinx teases that)
And now we have a misterious Red armor figure with *mixed* armor style or just prefall armor wich can fit as Eldanesh of the Red moon. A probable Shadowseer and Yriel of the House of Ultanash wich just seems to fit like a glove this kind of mythic pattern in eldar lore.
So it's just a Huge coincidence or it's one of the greatest tricks ever pulled by GW in long time to make things interesting in a while.
Either way i'm anxiously eager to see how it unveils.

I'm oddly not anxious to see who it is. I'd be excited for Exodites, but a larger uber-powerful character adds nothing to the Eldar fluff or game. I'm patiently waiting to be terribly disappointed.

Stat-wise maybe, fluff wise you're off the mark. There is literally an entire piece of fluff baed around a certain Masque and a certain Wych Cult every 7 years having an olympiad where Harlequins and Wyches compete against each other for the most entertaining kills. The event culminates with A Troupe Master and a Succubi fighting to the death in a spectacular battle that anyone in Commorrah would be lucky to attend. The battles are 50/50, with no one faction winning much more often than the other.
If Wyches rules supported their fluff they'd look a lot like Harlequins are now.

Next week, most likely.
The books have been coming out at the start of the month, along with whatever models are intended to accompany it. Expect the book preordering on February 4th(the day after the WD comes out, Friday the 3rd) and releasing on February 11th.

My best guess is it is a new DE character similar to Sliscus. They won't make any of the old guard I'm guessing since they discontinued them in the recent book. They will just introduce us to a new Archon sort of like how we got Facerippa, krom and kranon.

Also I forgot to mention in my last post Yriel is hugely defined by his eye of wrath. Someone explain to me where it went/how it works on a model with a normal DE helmet. Yriel could be in the box btw, I just don't find there is enough compelling evidence that the red figure is him.
Celestine invalidates your last statement.
They pulled her from the codex, released her again upgraded in the campaign.
Did you even read my post? I said it was unlikely that a DE character with no previous model would be pulled from the old book, how the feth did you leap to a CWE character from there?
.
You said

I am replying simply to that, as I feel very strongly that one of the characters will be Vect.
This seems to be the time for re-introductions in this campaign and they are having fun with it
Yea which makes zero sense in light of what I was referring to. She (celestine) had a model previously, the others ( DE) did not, but nice try at moving that goal post. Like I said above I'm not convinced.. but I could possibly see it.

There are only Ulthwe Eldar around him.
GW pretty much never does this in photos, even though the rules allow it. GW typically sticks with Faction A character being surrounded by Faction A units. Any alliance photos they take have a clear separation between factions.
So if Red-dude isn't surrounded by models of HIS same faction, then he is almost assuredly a model with a blurred faction.
Wouldn't it be cool if this new model, whoever he turns out to be, was an HQ for CWE, DE and Harlequins?
Well, for starters the imperial triumvirate had white dwarf photos where they each were amidst other factions units, then there is the fact that leaked image is a super small window, for all you know he has a retinue or a pair of guards to his left (our right).
