A Soulburst action is one of: move, shoot (or run or turbo boost) or charge. You choose witch one and you can do that even if you have already done it in the turn

Not seeing much that makes the Yncarne really hard to kill. I mean, sure it has FnP and that rule that lets it draw wounds back from nearby slain models, but it can't siphon away if it is being focused down.

Gonna depend on stats and saves.

That said, these rules are really toned down compared to Celestine and Cawl. At least in tankitude.

Edit- that said, the amount of fire power the Ynnari can put out seems staggering.

Watching you get you panties in a twist for the 1326th time when somone says somthing you don't like is equally tiresome but hey instead of requsting people get banned I just live and let live.

Barring the primaris and number one, I'd say the powers are okay. Soulburst actions seem pretty good so any power that grants more of them is actually nice.

I think we'll have to wait and see. I think the idea is that they can't change wyches stats, but they can make them useful when they die. My guess is Yncarne will have MC stats and the MSUs dying will make the army tick.

Wait a second, holy With Soulburst Ynari models can charge into other units after wiping out a unit in CC. Incubi getting to make 2 charges and combats per turn? Yes please!

I think you've misread, it's only if your units die that nearby units get to use Soulburst by the looks of it. Though the idea of an Incubi unit cleaving through an entire army in one turn is hilarious.

I think it could be quite useful. You're likely to be higher Ld most and targeting T4 most of the time, so for 2 warp charges, you can snipe a model on a 2+. Good for taking out that power fist or grav guy at the back of the unit, or forcing T3 characters to pass Look Out Sir.

Soulburst actions can be made whenever any unit is destroyed within 7" of the unit wishing to soulburst.

It says under "Strength from Death" that "Whenever a unit is completely destroyed wishing 7" of one or more of your non-vehicle units that consist of only models with this special rule, pick one of those units to make a Soulburst action."

And in the Formation with the Incubi we can see in WD they can do it within 14". So the Incubi could charge a unit, clear them out (with or without help from others) and then make a Soulburst action to charge again into another unit. But only once per turn.

Well, going by some of the bulk sets on the site: Vypers and War Walkers get some love, too.

The issue with that double charge Incubi plan is that by the time they charge and kill something, they have typically run out of attacks that phase. So even if they charge into something else that turn, they will not get anymore attacks since the rule locks the initiative step from where the 1st combat ended.

It would be good for units with a few characters that can clear a unit and then the non characters can chew a unit. It can lock you into an assault with a non threatening unit so you can be shot. It can plunge you into assault at some interesting times, like the enemy's psychic phase. Etc
------

I'm guessing the thing that lets 2 units Soulburst off one kill is a detachment bonus. So, in that detachment, you may see things like 2 Warp Spider units jetting in close and deleting a unit and then full jetting away or shooting another unit. Enemy kills one of these units, the ither immediately gets to shoot/run again. (All assuming Warp Spiders make it in, but the concept holds for other units)

I can see this being FaQ'd some might say that it stays at the initiative step and therefore the unit may make its attacks again but I think it's meant to lock your unit out of its initiative step and is just a way to get stuck in to another unit so you aren't stranded in the open to get shot at, being eldar you're more than likely striking first in your opponents turn anyway.
