Just remember, everyone. Fur of alien wolves is so bad, it proves those inhuman monsters the Space Wolves are evil. They need to stick to good, honorable body-horror material like the good guys of the Imperium deal in:

If there are triggered snowflakes involved, it's definitely those that wrote, signed, and took that petition seriously. That got to be the most absurd thing ever. GW is known for NOT engaging into any meaningful conversation with its fanbase. They would never listen to any petition, and you should know it. Especially not a petition that asks them to do something that could only hurt from a PR statement. PETA is doing this kind of publicity stunts all the freaking time. Don't you remember the Pokemon one? And the Mario one? And the other Pokemon one? And… They do it because it works. It works because thin-skin outraged gamers spread the word far and loud. Automatically Appended Next Post: streetsamurai wrote:Considering what PETA just did I have a lot of objections with calling this petition one of the dumbest thing ever PETA's publicity stunt, while not very clever, definitely is much more cunning and efficient at reaching their goal than that literally useless and pitiful (66 needed to reach 100 LOLOLOL) petition is. If their goal is to make fools of themselves and completely delegitimize their cause, yeah this publicity stunt achieve this. I'm nitpicking though. Agreed that this petition is a waste of time.

A lot more people think they are stupid but a few will give them money so it's worth it.
It ain't affecting how anyone with a brain think about their cause because they can make the difference between the cause and PETA's publicity stunt.

Disagreed strongly. It only make them look like irrationnal extremists, who waste their times on futility instead of trying to make something worthwhile. They seems to be believer in the ''Any publicity is good publicity'' adage, but it is completely discredited. I would think that these kinds of stunts only results in persons turning towards other animal protection groups.

I assumed “their cause” meant “animal protection”. If you meant “their cause” as in “PETA's funding” it's another matter entirely ^^. Plenty of people despise PETA even among hardcore animal right activists, for a bunch of reason.

It's actually more damaging. Sure, a thousand people may see and maybe one of them may pay. Compare that them making a good publicity (ie: them NOT being involved in scandals and doing good noteworthy stuff) where a hundred people hear it and 20 buy it. 20vs1, even though the afforum is smaller, is a better result. And this scenario would scale up better as word diffused. People will be more willing to contact and need you if they hear you do your job. I still have to see people going to the village idiot's "clinic" to get medical help willingly.

I find it odd they would even target such a niche hobby. But yeah this is pretty stupid. If GW allows themselves to be intimidated by this then I will be immensely disappointed in them as a company. Considering this is a fantasy universe where people have chopped off heads on their armor, clutched in their hands etc and heavily mutilated people etc.
Just a joke, really..

I'm not sure if it's just a coincidence or on purpose, but one of the local GWs here just reposted the Warhammer TV's Tip of the Day - Fur Coats on their Facebook page. "Whether it's for a Chaos Warrior, Space Wolf or the new Stormcast Vanguard out in February. What's an easy way to paint fur coats? ... If you'd like to join the fun and learn how to paint some fur coats. We have you covered."

PETA are not liberals, they're attention whores that transcend the liberal/conservative scale.

I do find it amusing this happens right as we're about to get a subfaction of stormcast eternals whose main visual difference is being decked out in pelts and furs. But they also fight alongside/ ride animals and presumably treat them with respect.
The liberal junk has already tainted star wars and mass effect, but don't dare try to change my beloved warhammer stuff.

Why would they. We the community have just been trolled by PETA.
PETA cares about awareness, they want the world to know that fur is bad. They do not really care about the infinite small portion of the population who happens to be a GW customer and be inspired to buy fur.
They do however care about poking us as a vocal and easy to stir fan base into a response that spreads their message for free.
So what GW, and we should really do is just ignore this troll attempt. We do not want to show them that this is an effective way to market their message or we are in for more of this crap in the future.
