That image. That right there just... HNNNGGG. I have no words to explain how I love that image. The Imperium is back, and it's time to kick ass and chew bubblegum; and they have been out of gum for a long time.

Requisition order for bubble gum denied. Assume ass-kicking protocol, and engage.

Well it seems we're getting "super" marines made from robuts blood. Better in every way then regular ones. The ending paragraphs support this but obviously don't state it directly. Just make vague allusions to new weapons and armies of war never seen before as Guiliman sets cawl to task. So the rumor guy is like 95% likely to be right.
Just read the review of the story. It's very good, but yeah in Revelations it's a little weaker than the stories before it.

three of the best plastic Space Marine sculpts that i have ever seen are coming on Saturday...
this makes me very happy
i love the way they are designing the plastic characters over the last few years...
they are such a joy to build and paint...
i thought that the first two Triumvirate boxes were amazing, but they have gone and done one better with the new Cypher, and the plastic Primarch has got me thinking about some cool conversions...
i'll need at least two of these boxes
i can't wait for the weekend!!!
cheers

Was reading Regimental Standards post and thought it was weird that the supposed quote from RG had him praising the Ecclesiarchy in particular but then had a good chuckle when it had really been 'edited for religious realignment.' I really hope they explore RG's feelings of the religious side of the Imperium more on the future and something should happen. It's a really interesting subject to think about. On the one hand it's the very thing that scorned a Legion and drove a wedge between father and son, it caused some of the greatest travesties for human history and rightly abhorred by the Emperor to prevent it tarnishing humanity's future. Then again I don't think the Imperium would have lasted this long without that very faith. There is a quote at the beginning of Hacksaw Ridge which I really like: "He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary and young men stumble and fall. But those who hope in the Lord, will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not be frightened." I think it would foolish of RG to try and destroy humanity's now cemented faith in the Emperor as a God. Times are only growing darker and it's faith that will shine through.

RG may not want to be Emp, or even Interim Emp, but I have a feeling it will be an image thrust upon him.
While he may maintain his stance as just LCotI, others will probably call him Emp.
The same goes for the deification of RG as the son of the God-Emp (total Jesus vibe with that going on).

According to goon's summary on bolter and chain sword RG does not like the ecclesiarchy at all it takes celestine and greyfax convincing him on how strong and a grip they hold that it would not be wise to have them as an enemy and they would make a useful ally. I think it's more of RG dislikes how far they have taken it when he reaches terra and looks back on the comparisons of what it was like in the past to now. RG has a clear dislike of Idolatry.

Can actually get 5 special weapons...
Only if you have 6 of them. Unlike the old Chosen as Fallen, the Champion can't take special weapons.

Okay, so if I were guess as to some new Imperial Faction based on Guilliman's more enlightened stance on warfare, I'm going to guess Space Marines won't be squatted (too much history), but that the "army of humanity" will be a mixed-gendered, power-armor-wearing force of boosted humans. In Guillimans eyes, the "human meat-grinder" battle doctrines of the IG won't stand.

I don't think that'll be iconic enough for what they're doing/planning. I think they're going to go with something more optimistic to go with their Guilliman-Caesar-Alexander-as-Emperor/Figurehead. Armies of light vs armies of dark, etc. instead of armies of brainwashed warrior slaves vs. armies of dark. I'm expecting some amount of tonal shift as a part of brand update.

Hmm maybe, but I think it's telling that scions were slapped everywhere in gathering storm 1 and visually they look distinct enough compared to the guard. Heck if I recall majority of the cadians were off world I find that kinda strange to be honest.

I am seeing it as a facade of hope.
The IoM is less than OK. The Emp punished Lorgar for trying to create this sort of fanaticism in its people. RG knows this and sees it, but knows to remove this way of life after so many years would bring only more problems.
So RG puts on the brave face and drives the IoM forward. Keeping himself and the IoM busy keeps RG from dwelling on the failures of man.

Considering he sees them as his own failures... Automatically Appended Next Post: Considering how central Celestine is to the plot, why isn't she or a Sister of Battle on there? Instead we get a Sister of Silence. Or is that an Eldar? Doesn't look like any Eldar I know of.

rather then a new type of marine (space marines based on Gulliman exist. they're called ultramarines) we're proably going to see a new founding. with a Primarch back that may mean purity issues can be resolved.
