Deathwatch Killteams were also absent, and I hope they are included. We'll just have to wait and see if they are just some of the not presently shown squads.

Are we suddenly pretending GW is capable of titles that don't sound like an edgy teen fanfic or 80s generic techno thriller?

I don't think it's a coincidence that they listed troop boxes for a bunch of armies. I think between the book and online support pretty much every troop choice will get rules. I'm hoping not just Tyranid Warriors but genestealers get a sheet, and you can use them with cults or hivefleets.

I also don't think it's a coincidence that they were talking to retailers about bundles of troop boxes retailers could stock that would be supported in the game.

Some things are missing from that list that GW have said are in there, like Tactical Marines, because Tactical Marines are the best selling box in the whole GW range and people don't need to be prompted to buy them. Dark Eldar Wyches though.....

Gathering the Informations.

They listed Troops and a Fast Attack(Tau Empire Pathfinders).

It's like what we saw with those "Armoured Assault" boxes back in January. They get billed as Troops and a Dedicated Transport, yet Tau got Pathfinders and a Devilfish...

There's something more than just "troops" at play I think.

One nice thing about making the stories extra tall (rather than just an inch or two over a normal model's head) is that they will be way easier to see through and reach through. So we could have multi-level terrain all over the board and still move things and measure distances without too much trouble.

Of course, those gantries have all sorts of dangly bits hanging off them so maybe it won't actually work out all that well.

Well looks like I'll be coming back to 40k after all. Been wanting something like this for a long long time. GW definitely sailing in the right direction in my opinion. 100% chance I'm getting this for the terrain alone.

That's the exact same terrain that was in the other picture. It's just a better picture, and they are positioned differently. Before a lot of people were hoping more terrain would be included because it was so little, and now people are blown away by the terrain. It's the same terrain!

My biggest worry about this product is the store support pack.. Just have a bad feeling that you get 85% of the game
and need to play at the store for the other 15%; What about people that don't have a local store?
I know a ton of people that don't play at the FLGS and would rather have basement games..

Kind of the whole thing with the Chaplin Terminator having to buy stuff and game at the games workshop store
to be able to buy it... Just don't like to be forced to do something that is really not necessary.

But I really want this to work.. loved kill teams and necromunda.. this is a mix of both.. do it right and get gold
do it wrong and kill the necromunda franchise name..

The store support pack will most likely, if previous experiences are anything to go by, buttons, tokens or some other collectible gubbin along with a pamphlet or two to help the store with running the event, maybe even a custom scenario or two.

This is a question I am interested in an answer to.

Is the standard table size going to be 4 by 4 like Kill Team?

If this is the support pack:

Then it looks like visual aids to run a campaign.

I'd also be interested in hearing the answer to that. heck, I could see going even smaller if a lot of the terrain is 3+ stories tall.

The Forgeworld Realm of Battle industrial squares are 2'x2'. Maybe a 2'x4' standard map size?

4'x4' seems likely just because so many mats are available for it.

I would love to see a 3'x3' mat size. So much easier to fit on a dinner table. Really good size if they are considering it as an intro to the hobby.

That's not same terrain amount. One gantry is missing entirely and there's one piece on ground that's not visible in the original picture or is it?

That's what I thought at first glance as well, but the gantry to the right of other image is positioned behind the large cylindrical thingamy in the picture you posted (you can see the outline of the hanging skull thing between the 2 cylinders), and the pipe that's at the front of the other image is sitting between on the ground between the two cylindrical thingamies in the picture you posted.

For whatever reason they chose to position the terrain in a way that it looks like there's less of it in the powerpoint image.

So it looks like it includes the crates and barrels from the Armored Containers terrain piece. I really like that giant servo skull spider thing. This will be a great addition to my existing terrain. The relay pipes have all sorts of connections to go with the ones in this set, which means it will work with my Haemotrope Reactors as well.

I am looking forward to the Newcromunda rules. Small games are great for me since I have limited time.

I'm guessing at least £60 tops.

I just realised. Does this set means we are getting a reprint of the rapid fire die? I lost mine.

I do realy like how it looks like this terrian was made with expanding with the newer terrian in mine. The Promethium Pipes, Void Shield, reactors, and Armoured Containers all looks like their meant to be placed with this stuff.

I still want two sets of it tho. lol

If that's all it costs I might end up with an entire 10th Company when everything is said and done.

(Okay, I'd probably actually only get 2-3. I can always use more boyz, but I'm not sure what I'd do with the scouts as my tiny Space Marine army is supposed to be White Scars.)

£60 would put it at the price point of the Stormcloud Attack games.
