So no news on Shadow War from GW at Adepticon then? Little disappointed, seemed like they were leading up to showing it off there.

You can never beat your first time. The second generation is shinier, stronger, faster and superior in every regard save one, and it's an unfair criticism to level, but it simply can't be as original. - Andy Chambers, on the evolution of Games Workshop games

Just the demos that have been described elsewhere.

Must have missed it. Do you have a link to where it was discussed?

Nice! It would be expensive like hell to recreate from Shadow War terrain sets, but it's very nice indeed

Any idea when Shadow War is supposed to come out? I assume soon if it's in the white dwarf?

Ok that looks just about as insanely cool as it costs.

That's a great looking kit, and really shows the versatility of it. I'm not only excited for the game, but the terrain too.

Well that answers the question about using the terrain to get multiple levels

My local shop, and a couple places online seem to be repeating "April 1st". I'm going with it being possible as the reps at GAMA kept saying "VERY soon"

Well that terrain is certainly versatile. I think it will probably be possible to get some real mileage out of a few sets, especially when adding in some plastic bottles and other stuff for industrial tanks and tubes.

Can't wait for more news on this.

Looking over the pictures provided so far, the partially seen Chaos sheet lists Chaos Space Marine Special something.
So a specialist?

On the Dark Eldar sheet, under combat drugs it mentions Haemonculi and Scourges, possible specialists?

Also the Skitarii sheet mentions that they can take 3 specialists.

My thinking is that the promo specialist cards are store only and only list imperial / ork specialists, their rules would be duplicated in the rulebook. Basically fancy rewards for winning a game?

Maybe two sets for me, but it really depends on how we can get those specialist cards and if they are reprinted in the rulebook or not. But I'll know for sure on Monday hopefully, as then FLGS' will get their pre-order info for the coming weekend.

More expensive than rumoured which was already expensive. Bummer.
The individual scenery bits look like the box contents divided into 3 kits.
No prices or release dates for the aos stuff is straight up weird.

Wow, so basically GW thinks just the terrain separately should cost more than the entire game? I really wish we could vet games at the 100 dollar mark instead of 150.

Frankly I just want the rules.

Yep, definitely buying the rules separately.
The terrain is good inspiration though, and seeing a side view, the platform doesn't seem that high, maybe 31/2 inches?

Looks like Chaos SM kill teams are in and with 6 figures, so roughly 2000cr force?

120€ is a bit much. The terrain is nice, but I already have very similar pieces from the old Tehnolog/Pegasus Bio-toxin Plant, Power Plant, etc.

The old meta is dead and the new meta struggles to be born. Now is the time of munchkins.

Yeah, even with Frontline Gaming's 25% off, it is a bit much. Still, two Scout Squads that I sort of need anyway are included, so that drives the effective price down for me.

Can we get some idea of what kit = what name and what price?

The pictures are far too jumbled.

Terrain is cool and I want the rules, but wow. 150 for that and worthless scout/orc troops is bad.

There appears to be four kits total. The Ferratonic Furnace, Galvanic Magnavent, a Something-mite Stack, and Shadow War Armageddon (which includes all three of the previous kits, a Scout Squad, a Sniper Scout Squad, and Ork Boyz).

The Galvanic Magnavent, is the platform with skull thing is 45 pounds.
