Servo-hauler is just the existing spider/skull crane. Bet we'll have to wait a few months to get the actual crane from the display board.

I'm hoping the price difference between the Ferratonic Incinerator and the Promethium Forge is an error. Both sets seem to be made up of four sprues.
Screw the Galvanic Servohaulers, I want to know what that The Carrion Throne is all about.
judgedoug wrote:Looks like Promethium Forge is angled walkways, support, and vent sprue - three for $60.
Four sprues for $75.00 US.

Are you sure? That's just one sprue:
How can they release a terrain kit that's just one of the walk-way sprues that already comes with the Magnavent kit as a whole other kit?

No, what I meant was that it includes the spider-crane, not that it's the entire kit. But actually now that you say it, I'm not sure. I saw a photo on FB that pictured new kits, and from memory the servohauler kit was one of them and included the spider-crane. But I might be wrong on that one, does anyone have the pic?

The Promethium Forge definitely has 4 ladders, the Galv Mag only 2.
So the difference is 1 sprue, the one with the 2 piece octagonal platform, 2 ladders and various handrails.

Ah yes. One has the curved walkways and the straight walkways, the other has the curved walkways and the insert walkways (the ones that come with the Ferratonic Furnace by default).

I am probably going to pick up the Ferrotonic Incinerator and a Galvanic Magnavent. Should go nicely with the rest of the terrain from SWA.

Yeah count me among those who are happy they're releasing the terrain piecemeal. As much as I would have liked to get another boxed set for the savings, I'd rather just spend a portion and get one or two additions, and not have another gaggle of boyz and scouts to deal with!

Okay, so, this is correct then?
Promethium Forge - $75 - Curved Walkway Sprue, Hex Platform Sprue, Support Strut Sprue, Vent Sprue
Ferratonic Incinerator - $60 - Straight Walkay Sprue, Hex Platform Sprue, Support Strut Sprue, Vat/Tank Sprue
So the Ferratonic Incinerator is the cheapest sprue set?

Any box with four sprues in it should sell for $75.00 so I'm wondering if that price list isn't a mistake on someone's part. But hell, I certainly wouldn't mind an extra $15 off the price of a box.

It's the price listed on the retailer and trade order form that went out to game stores with GW accounts, and the one that they place orders using. So unless they adjust the price, that's what game stores are using...
And yup, Ferratonic is gonna be a qty 2 for me.

Just look at the price for the Servohauler, it's the smallest kit. Probably the skull crane sprue and the pillar sprue. In other words, the Galvanic Magnavent without the small boiler.

It's the only one not listed on the "coming soon" form, and the crane has been shown in WD at least. So my guess is that the crane wasn't ready in time for the "coming soon" sheet. New sprue combined with somethin' and also maybe supports struts. I feel like GW values the support struts at almost zero considering the $60-$75 kits have three sprues plus support struts sprue, and the $50 kits have two sprues with no support struts. $25 per sprue but $0 for support struts. So I could see a $40 kit having a crane, diagonal walkways, and support struts.

The title is servo-haulers so unless there are two cranes in the box, I reckon it will be skullcrabs and maybe boxes/barrels. Then again, the skullcrabs need something to hang under, too.

You are going to have a fun dig on it H.B.M.C. Seriously. I picked up the Galvatron Megalopogus Thingamajig today...
The Prometheum forge will have an additional sprue from the Alchomite Stack with the right stack part sprue.
And, yes it is Typical GW. Take a great idea and crap all over it for the greed.
I can't make it up it is THAT tragic. It has to be one of the most LOLZ worthy things I have seen to date.
They gutted that Base boxed set, and overhyperinflated the prices of the individual Terrain sets. The sets came out last week or so, and they are still on the shelves, a case of natural derision for Most, if not all of the local shops clientel who are modelers and builders of high caliber.
The running joke is "Build something like this for half of the cost- Like we have already been doing for years." I took particular amounts of dig for buying one of the two hooks an ladders sets of the Galvatroic Megalopogus Thingamajigs and the !@#$ I took for buying it was legendary, even for this particular group of Grognards.
THESE boxed sets are going to be seriously augmented with multiple trips to the local Hobby Lobby, Michaels, and AC Moore Crafts stores.
Stock up on Woodland Scenic's materials, and kitbash the GW sets- Because, at the end of the day- THESE are some seriously lacking deficient kits, that need individualization in the worst of ways.
Once again, the Prometheum Forge makes it so, because of one different sprue.
I will of course be getting a crash course in resin casting, so at the end of the day- it is not ALL wasted.

The Galvatronic Megalopagus Thingamajig comes with 4 sprues, and the upcoming one with the crane is supposed to have one of those barrel/ crate sprues.

If your local shop has access to the ordering website, it is located there. Looks like is comes with a sprue of barrels, and crates. Ala Battlefield accessories, like the plastic bagged stuff they sold from 3d edition.
