Why can’t it be both?

They are so easy to operate, even a child-servitor could do it!

I would buy them if they had child servitors to excuse their laughable size. Since it pleases me to know the Imperium judges 6 year olds guilty and turns them into servitors.

It's pretty obvious that these engines/tractor units don't have (and need) a driver, so what's your point besides the price?

While the pic looks great, I doubt that the actual bases will be that clear and crisp. I was so disappointed with the Age of Sigmar and 40K bases. Made in China and they were dull and rounded, not crisp, and clear like their previous pics looked. Hopefully GW doesn't do it again and these are actually crisp and clear.

Books seemed to be printed or binded (forget which one) in China and some scenery are done in China. Bases were made in China. I believe that is why we don't have the GW quality. Not sure if the plastic the bases are made from are different or not from what Nottingham uses.

The Champ industries bases are really nice. Much easier to use and mod than resin and being able to glue HIPS figs right too them is a real bonus. I've used around a hundred or so of them now. The "urban" version is cool to. I've used some of them also, but not as many.

They are a shade bigger in diameter, being just a smidge over 26mm in diameter. Nothing most folks would notice.

The Sedition wars bases are avaialble in the sedition wars boxed set.

I would totally paint up a model as a meter maid and stick it on there.

I've wanted 40k civvies for a long time.

A Meter Maid would be pretty rocking. They'd probably have a power maul or something as well to enforce those codes!

Also no thanks to you lot I've got a champ order coming for my Shadow War stuff to get based on.

I use Champ bases quite a bit. Love 'em.

I love the crane too, can't wait to get that thing. I have a few scenarios developing in which it would fit really well.

This whole everything selling out immediately thing is starting to get real fething old. Can't get the crane, can't get the big terrain set...I think the only things that haven't sold out are the ferratonic incinerator and the new bases. Or at least the promethium forge was sold out last I looked, it doesn't appear to be now.

Local store couldn't promise me a crane so I just bought the bases instead. Starting to think maybe I should have just gotten the Champ ones people are talking about here, though, they look pretty good.

Does the ferratonic incinerator come with a sprue of straight walkways? So far the only other set I know that comes with one is the galvanic magnavent...which has also been sold out since release and is also the most expensive of the original three. I kinda wish they'd just put out an "Industrious Catwalkus" set or some gak that has like two of those walkway sprues and two of the sprues with the supports/legs for them.

Also, am I the only one that's disappointed in the lack of ramps or stairs for all this stuff? I'd like to have more ways for people to ascend to upper levels than just climbing ladders. It would look like a real industrial environment...and there needs to be a LOT more railings! Everywhere!

I'd have liked stairs, not so much ramps...

Hand rails, I think the price for having them as numerous as they should be would have been too high; we'd either get less other pieces or a higher price tag.

Selling out immediately is pretty ridiculous. I always remembered companies using pre-orders as a way to guarantee enough product, GW is just pre-selling made product creating situations of induced scarcity. Their sales strategy is very fixed on generating a constrained revenue and profits and this aspect doesn't seem to be looking at the bigger picture, the next step, or the implications of how a product sells. Even if this maximizes profits the product shortages are building resentment. This is something GW really needs to address.

Yeah, if they would let you do preorders like every other decent company - say like up to 3 months in advance, they'd have a good idea of how much stock they needed to at least cover the preorders.

One week before the stuff goes on sale is pretty weak and stupid.

It never ends well

Nice. The Crane and Servohaulers are a must buy for me just because they're the first "worker" kit I've seen.

That is what we should be doing. We should be sending GW a message if they don't want to sell us products and don't want our money we will go else where to get them. I know I have stopped buying a lot of GW products when they started getting me to buy from them again in 2016 because I can't get what I want. So GW needs to make more to stop creating this artificial demand. They need to stop under producing on purpose or really start to know what their actual demand will be then.

Dryaktylus appears to be German. I'm gonna guess something is lost in translation but I think it's something along the line that "fire warriors" translated literally into German is the word for "fire fighter."

Through the Eye of Terror and turn left.

I'm pretty sure I've seen someone do this when the first round of kits were released but I've popped together a quick updated table with all the Sector Mechanicus building kits, the sprues they come with and the price/sprue/set ratio (apologies for those countries I've missed off - nothing personal!).

As you can see the Ferratonic Incinerator is easily the best value kit there, especially if you want plenty of walkways on your table. Combine that kit and either Galvanic Magnavent or the Promethium Forge and you're got most of the sprues available in the range. The Alcomite Stack is the one way to get the dome sprue (why they never bundled this in with the Ferratonic Furnace I'll never know as there's no point to this kit anymore with the release of the Incinerator).

"Feuerwehr" would be the literal (and correct) translation for "Fire Brigade", the organization who battles fires.

Two Ferrotonic Incinerators pre-ordered. I decided against the crane. Doesn't quite line up with the aesthetic I am after. That should be enough terrain with everything else I have for a 6x4 table.

Go back and check the website... Your missing quite a few. Good list, if you can keep up with it, though. Your rest of your post has jumped the shark, and what you are asking for is in the works. Once again, check the web page...
