I love the look of the blight drones, but after seeing two broken ones at two different shops I worry about sturdiness. Keep up the great paint work, they are looking fantastically nasty.

Updated picture of the drone. Got a few hours of airbrushing done tonight along with some regular brush work, model has been fun to paint thus far. Hearing that Mortarion will be released soon makes me want to get these new models done so I can have a working army.
Theo I will try and keep the drone in one piece.

Beautiful. How did you do the basing? Is that one of their technicals or did you hand-paint that?

Love the trail of pus for starters. A fallen brick wall maybe? A section of aegis?

The base is one of the texture paints from GW, Agrellan earth, and the pus is several layers of the Nurgles Rot technical paint. I will have to look thru my parts and see if I have any scenery I could use.

Up next is the poxwalkers, saw that someone had used shades and inks to paint them so, I am going to give it a go. Started with a black primer then did some zenithal painting using a light gray, then finished with some white sprayed from directly above. The walkers with the great coats and mallets will probably get a bit more attention.
Again thanks for checking in.

Nice work on the plague drone. I like the idea of a little busted brick wall. You could also possibly do just the hand of a skeleton coming out of the pus(or that's what's left as it's being dissolved by the pus). But only a tiny piece as I really think less is more with these nurgle guys as they are super detailed and a clean base would be such a great contrast.

@ Cam, thanks looking forward to your take on the Deathguard.
@ Theo, I am inclined to agree with you they have so much detail less may mean more. Not sure I have any skeleton bitz around other than some skulls.
@ Gitz, yes they are grey... but here is shot of my test model. Took me approximately one hour to shade, paint and base.
What do you guys think?

Looks great, especially for only an hour of work time. Skulls could work too on the bases, possibly coat them with the nurgle rot technical paint to make it look like they have been dissolved by some nasty weapon. It could also explain the lack of vegetation as it all wilted and dissolved.

Good job on the drone.
Only thing I can think to add to the base would be dying plants (as that's the idea I have to do on my plague models).
Maybe some metal things rusting away...
Great affect on the latest chap. Very effective.

I know its been awhile since I posted anything but have not had much time to sit and really paint for extended periods of time. Finally finished with the first poxies, the lighting is not too good but I am tired and its late. Any CC is welcome, still looking for something to add to the bases. If you want some different pics let me know and I will take a few more.
Thanks again for following along.

They are looking spectacular bud, really great work, I mean it.
To keep it simple why not just add damp patches where they have been!, a few darkned foot prints, a scrape or or two of blood/pus, a few drips under them, kinda make it look like they are leaking wet pus all over the place, would only need a few dribbles of paint and a coat of varnish on the specific bits, would animate them, and just add that bit of interest. I think it would look cool with the dry bases you have, which are looking brilliant BTW.

Thanks all for the compliments. Gone back and worked on the bases, took Cams advise and added some nurgles rot and purple wash around their feet. On the drone I added the skull in a puddle of rot. (Thanks Theo and Graven :-), does it look like its dissolved?).

A technique I have used which I feel works great is to pool wood glue on your base and then while it's still wet, drip a few drops of super glue on top. It will make the surface wrinkle up. Looks like some really serious sludge. Great for dissolved bodies.

^ That's a genius idea, stolen!
And yeah, looks great my absolute go to for any kind of goo or weathering is... paint water. I kid you not. 90% of the time it's an ultra thin greybrown wash, effectively. Great for streaks and stains.

Looks sweet...we'll as sweet as dissolved flesh can look . I always underestimate a purple wash. I hear people use it all the time, but my natural reaction is black or brown.

@ Senna will have to try that out.
@ Graven I am a modeling plagiarizer.
@ Theo, I do like the purple wash, makes for some great bruised effects, also it works well with purple cloaks.
Here is a quick pic of the plague caster. Why did they have to make his face look
