I think these are just going through repackaging. Same as the skeletton warriors.

The only kit marked as "No longer available" is the Seraphon Carnosaur/Troglydon kit (which is still available at the same price in the SC box). Everything else is marked "Temporarily unavailable online". This is most likely just a mass reboxing.

I came today from my FLGS and he said that he can from July on no longer order older Kits for AoS. He talked about all pre-Endtimes Models, except repacks.

No offence but it sounds bullpucky. My LGS's got no such info. I think they either want to keep them web-only (maybe) or do start releasing battletomes for those factions.

If they were going to drop models they would've done it during the Last Chance purging.

I agree that it's likely for future repacks and Battletomes like the Bonesplittaz, too many pre-end times stuff shows up in the lore for them to get rid of now with any justification.

Yeah, the Facebook mentioned something about it going to be repriced since no one was buying it due to the SC.

Where? on the international site is still available.

Now that I'm looking at, is the Thunderbeast Host a permanent bundle or what? It's been almost two years and they haven't removed it from the list since the Seraphon rebox.

I remember there used to be a sweet StD kit but it lasted like 8 months to be sold out.

Thunderbeast Host was a Christmas bundle. It just hasn't sold through.

The Carnosaur kit is No Longer Available and has been for a few months now via the GW US website.

Why buy one Carnosaur when for the same price I get a caronosaur, a unit of Warriors, and 8 knights for free?

Hopefully it is being repriced as rumored.

Eek! Time for panic buying Empire?

I wouldn't be surprised if legacy WHFB sales fell off a cliff and only new stuff was selling.

Just a brief early info doing the rounds on german forums

It seems GW's classic Dwarf models will either be discontinued or repacked with different bases. Several kits have been removed from the webstore

Rumor says everything but the Gyrocopter/-bomber will be discontinued

Here is a photo - via Tabletopwelt.de - which was added to the rumor

Spoiler:

Isnt that a yet-unreleased box? My Fantasy-fu is weak

Anyway, just sharing the information and hope people with more knowledge will chime in and can help out

The Gyrobomber has just been released that way recently (got that new box last week).

On our order forms Ironbreakers have been renamed to Dispossessed Ironbreakers so they are being repackaged and AFAIK hammerers will follow the same path. No idea regarding the future of older dwarf kits thought.

Seems like Battletome Dispossed might be incoming? With the Gyrocopters included. I doubt many of the Freeguild or Dispossed kits are going, we've had new art and even novels about them, they are a part of the Mortal Realms.

I can only imagine the Dwarf Warriors and Thunderers going. I was surprised they didn't when the first round of cuts were made last year.

Bye bye Dakkadakka, happy hobbying! I really enjoyed my time on here. Opinions were always my own :-)

Well, they're the 'normal' folk of the Duardin/dwarves. Gotta have something that isn't too foreign in the army.

There's still 4 other Infantry kits for them. Hammerers, Long Beards, Iron Breakers and Iron Drakes, which seems plenty. If GW are making some cuts to the range, the dated sculpts of the Warriors and Thunderers seems the best place.

Indeed, those two seem to be the likeliest.

Dispossessed will probably become the slow tank army compared to Fyreslayers glass cannons and Overlords speedy shooters. So bigger focus on their heavy armor.

Willing to bet on a repackage and possible battletome.

I can't see anything from the Empire range going. Everything there already got talked about in lore at one point or other so unless there's new humans to replace them I just can't see it.

Edit: Oh, and the new novel is focusing on Grungni which could be a hint at Dispossessed focus via battletome.

I doubt the thunderers/quarellers and warriors will be gone. The grand alliance book still has them, and Im willing to bet that will stick around for another year at least.

I guess the older Dwarf Kits could dissapear. The release of a Dispossesed Battletome could bring a Fireslayer Start Collecting Box.

Indeed and that's why I'm skeptical of any further discontinues when GW could've done it at that point and made a good profit from a kit that sold poorly while making room for new releases.

We'll just have to wait and see though.

So this got me thinking:

What if it isn't actually a discontinuing but a re-doing of the models? The gunmaster doesn't match the design of the old ones and they generally do art focused on models.

Yes, 2 dual kits. The point being having 4 types of infantry is still quite a lot a faction.

I am pleased to see that the Freeguilders continue to have poofy renaissance clothes in the new art as well. As long as that is maintained in the new models (whenever such may come) I'm satisfied.

I wouldn't be opposed to a resculpt of some of the legacy models. Even the plastic kits look dated compared to GW's newer style. I've been trying to put together a Chaos Undivided warband for Skirmish/Hinterlands, but most of the StD infantry models look ridiculous next to the Darkoath Chieftain.

If anything I would have though it'd be the other way round. Ironbreakers have shiny, new minis, and daemonettes look like fish.

I hope Ironbreakers will be replaced with a 20 man box and a slight price increase (meaning a discount per mini) :-)

I love the Ironbreaker minis. Really hope they are not going away!

The 8th dwarf releases were done when AoS was well into development so I doubt those kits are going anywhere.

Yeah, in retrospect yes. Maybe. Who knows. I would certainly welcome a plastic gunmaster like this one.
