So, after reading this in the preview for the white dwarf of september... Can we agree if GW is evil and against every mix of their kits, and conversions? Ir that just internet exageration?

Dakka does have White Knights and is also rather infamous for it's Black Knights. A new edition brings out the passionate and not all of them are good at expressing themselves in written form. There have been plenty of hysterical responses from both sides so far. So we descend into pointless bickering with neither side listening to each other. So posting here becomes more masturbation than conversation.

It's great to see creativity hasn't completely gone taboo in the WD team.

The Fenrisian Wolf kit was actually a "go-to" for awhile when I was running Orion and his Hunting Hounds early in Age of Sigmar. Had enough to run a summon heavy list of the blighters.

Haha, what was your fluff explanation? They're green and they hunt well so are a-okay with Orion or he was too caught up in the wildhunt to notice?

Awesome kit-bashes, though. Always should be encouraged.

Oh no, I meant just the Fenrisian Wolves.

The only way to buy Orion's Hunting Hounds was to buy Orion. So I got something like 3-4 boxes of Fenrisian Wolves and just painted them to look a ghostly grey.

The kitbashes are really nice, I especially like the stormcast one which is a surprise as I'm not especially fond of the overall aesthetic style of the army.

I still yearn for a new goblin wolf riding kit though, I've seen many over the years that use the fenrisian wolves to great effect but I'm still curious to see a modern take on them, with today's tech and strides into the AoS I'm sure GW would make some fantastic models.

A steppe nomad goblin cavalry army... I believe there was an army that featured in White Dwarf along this theme and featured a chequered black and white livery, it really inspired me as a kid!

... might have tempted myself into a new army, argh!

The Stormcast is from Duncan's skirmish warband. Really tempted to copy his use of the acolytes.

That's pretty awesome. I bought a bunch of Acolyte bodies to do something similar, and to make Catachans from.

Is that picture from an article or something with more pictures?

The Acolyte kit really is amazing, works so well as a base. I did the same after seeing Duncan's initial twitter pics. I mixed Bloodreaver heads and the Vanguard weapons to get that greek warrior look. IMO it's what a lot of the regular humans should look like, just seems to work so well with Stormcast and their aesthetic.

Spoiler:

Urghh forgot this is the first WD I will not be getting early, not renewing my sub until we've moved house.

He said they were Marauder Horsemen heads, guess the plumes are from different kits too.

Hellstriders? The plumes might be but the heads are definitely Marauders, the human heads from the Hellstriders have a more ornate design.

Yeah, Hellstriders are a good (but sparse) source for Greek looking helmets.

There is a video tutorial by Duncan on how he made those conversions. I'd link it, but I'm work blocked.

Weird this hasn't yet been posted yet, since the other forums had their fill from Nova Open.

That’s right – the Orruks are coming to the cursed City of Mirrors. The latest warband announced for Warhammer Underworlds: Shadespire, Ironskull’s Boyz, are here to conquer with brute force and a little Orruk kunnin’. These greenskins will be representing the forces of Destruction in the first wave of Shadespire warbands, released soon after the game itself – which will be supported by its own dedicated website – later this year.

Also confirmed at NOVA was that all of these new Shadespire warbands, Orruks included, will eventually get full Warhammer Age of Sigmar Warscrolls (once they escape from the City of Mirrors, of course).

But that’s not all on the way from the Mortal Realms….

Dark powers stir in the Mortal Realms. Malign Portents is a major event for Warhammer Age of Sigmar players, and it’s on the way in 2018. There will be big things coming both for the narrative of the setting and for matched play gamers.

There will be new models on the way for this release too, the first of which we can show you today. Introducing – the Knight of Shrouds:It’s been a little while since we’ve seen a new Death model for Warhammer Age of Sigmar. Patience is rewarded though – we hadn’t forgotten about you. Alongside this Herald of Nagash, each of the other three Grand Alliances will also be getting a powerful new hero.

Those Ironjawz! OH MAN! Shadespire sculpts are so damn brutal and great looking! I already had my eyes on the skeletons for D&D, but these "alternate" brutes, MMMHHH MHHHH!! Pre-order for sure

And that Knight, half spirit, half corporeal, full awesome! That helmet

The spirit looks nice enough, but most importantly it's finally a new, undead model. High time, really.

The undead hero looks very nice!

Hope the mentioned heroes for the other Grand Alliances are equally good looking.

Nah, it'll just be another Sigmarine, a Chaos Sigmarine and three goblins cosplaying a Sigmarine.

Warhammer Community has been mostly broken for me all morning. Maybe they have technical issues or are getting bombarded with people wanting a look at the new releases?

Well looks like Pestigors are confirmed at least. Atia posted a small bit of fluff from Blightwar showcasing the different forces that fight for Nurgle. Raise the hype!!!

Spoiler:

Lets hope we don't have to wait too long for the full Nurgle release.

So Nurgle Daemons, Rotbringers, Slaves to Darkness and Clan Pestilence so far? Maybe Pestigors will be part of Brayherd?

I would expect Pestigors to be part of the Rotbringers book, same with Pestilens and Nurgle Daemons.
