A genetically enhanced killing machine and a sadistic torturer trying to lure a little girl into their shop - what's not to like?

Inquisitor Chris Hansen would like a word with them. He even has a special chair
Seriously though, it is an odd illustration. I guess they were trying to make them like a puppy in a petshop window.
I personally would have gone with a scarab. Those are adorable.

Could they have made the librarian look a bit younger? It bothers me that he looks that aged when at best he is a couple of hundred years old (young adult for a marine).

Maybe it's the paint job. I would have appreciated a head without the seemingly go to gotee and bald head librarian get up as well. Probably wouldn't be so bad if he had a fuller beard. I do want to see the helmet, I want it to have runes etc on it!

Even Librarians are described as looking prematurely aged from what I recall.

I think I'd prefer it if that dual minigun guy was armed with two rotor cannons instead. It would give a Primaris marine a good niche in the army. Five of those guys together would make for some great anti-horde control.

Does Miniwars say Captain and Librarian 30 EUR each or in a combined blister for that price?

Oh now that's interesting. I asked about Primaris Grey knights on the 40K Facebook page when they were doing all the dark imperium and new books coverage. GW responded saying we are not even sure there are psychic primaris marines yet, the librarian says there are, which also suggests primaris Grey knights is definitely possible.

There have been plenty of hysterical responses from both sides so far. So we descend into pointless bickering with neither side listening to each other. So posting here becomes more masturbation than conversation.

12€ for those easy to build kits is really cheap. That's... lotr prices from 10 years ago.

It's a bit surreal if one character costs the same than the entire First Strike box.

BTW, as we are now seeing all these variant armours, I really hope that the codex will have an option to equip characters with them. I want to have characters leading my Reivers and Inceptors.

In fact the first "Ancient" is from the 2nd Ed. UM codex. That was the honorific of a special character standard bearer.

12€ is about $13.61 US Dollars.

I'd expect that to translate to about $14.99 US MSRP.

Which sounds insanely cheap for a GW kit.
Then I realised there are only 3 models in a squad.

$5 for a monopose infantry model with no options.

I can't decide wether to be upset, or happy that they didn't come 10 to a box.

I wonder if we'll see Reivers or Primaris on bikes would be pretty cool.

lavozdehorus doesn't seem to be in the rumour tracker. Anyone know of any other rumours that've come from him?

Edit: Also, that seems like an uncharacteristically dense release schedule.

I'd rather we stop seeing bikes in general for Marines.

I'd much rather see Reivers get a Land Speeder Storm or Corvus style transport then "lol bikes!".

It is dense but it's also a big push of their biggest game (the thing literally keeping their lights on) that they've just rebooted. I'd expect an avalanche for 6 months

Not that this is in any way suggesting the above list is any more than hopes and dreams, but that rate of releases I could see.

Id much rather see a new bike kit

those are one of the older kits that REALLY need an update.

also would like to see primarus primarily being in 1 of each slot rather than saturating it.

so we have tacticals, heavy support and fa already. wound like to see vet type slot. (i guess we are getting a apothocary)

and it looks like we are getting something kinda scout eee.

Bikes are cool. Warhammer is about what is cool.
But I agree, Land Speeders are pretty cool, I like more of that type of vehicles. But not SO much. That is more for Eldar or even Tau than Marines.

We know that they are developing 15 Codexes simultaneously for quick fire release.

The Pace is fairly believable.

Sisters could be a very small release if they did come out. Five girl box with lots of options like Sisters of Silence could cover most of their unit options. A "Hero Box" like 'Stealer Cults got.

It could be done in a crowded schedule.

What seems to make it unlikely to me:
No Space Marine core book for all that time leaving your majority of players (Index Imperium 1 was the only one to sell out worldwide) on a 'get you buy' list for months seems unlikely, unless they are really committed to moving everyone onto primaris.

One book for all eldar everywhere, but three Chaos marine books? Seems unreasonable also.

I would be fine with a new bike kit, I just think that Primaris on bikes would be stupid. It falls into the trap of Infinity with bikes where people seem to think that bikes become a necessity.

I love to see Primaris in bikes. But not motorcicles. Actual BIKES, with pedals. Powerbikes, working those calf muscles!

There is no SM codex because they are trying to get people to buy the Primaris codex and models. SMs are completely playable with the index, but Codexes are there to sell new models, and SMs are unlikely to get much model support going forward.

Not saying that release schedule is accurate or true, but it doesn't discredit itself by the lack of a SM codex.

You can never beat your first time. The second generation is shinier, stronger, faster and superior in every regard save one, and it's an unfair criticism to level, but it simply can't be as original. - Andy Chambers, on the evolution of Games Workshop games
