I must have missed something... where did we get this confirmation?

Thank you!

The 'rules' included with the new Primaris characters says something along the lines of "See CODEX: SPACE MARINES" for blah blah blah!

EDIT!

OK, the exact quote:

GW wrote:These essential rules will get your new unit on the battlefield - for the full rules for this unit, see Codex: Space Marines.

Sigh... blocked at work, maybe that's why I haven't seen it. Sorry for sounding thick!! Thank you anyway, I'll check it out when I'm at home.

Oh snap!

What was that supposed release list which seemed to be 2 codex's/armies a month, it was about 10 right? Or at least 8 by September leaving space for another 2 before Christmas. Pretty good guess I'd say.

I'm personally expecting the Necron Pariah to make a return in 8th edition with the possibility of either some new C'tan or new C'tan models.

If they bring out a Void Dragon model, an Outsider model and Pariahs, I'll be super hyped.

Well, at least I still will have a reason to have bought the index for a while. I have models from several different armies from both Imperial Indexes, so it will be quite a while before they are invalidated.

I can't wait for the SM codex. I needs me some Chapter rules.

Well that settles that question then Although it does raise the other question of just how much of a monster is the SM Codex is going to be?

edit: Fingers crossed that GW see sense and let Primaris use existing transports that are big enough for Terminators and Centurions.

Hopefully not until long, long after humanity has died out and the earth has been burnt to a cinder by our expanding sun.

If they want to give us "radical" AdMech stuff like Xeno-Hybris? Yeah, cool. But enough with this "your whole favourite faction are double-dupes who exist only because of Just As Planned by ol' Golden Boy and the god of another faction entirely" guff. I want my hubris and ignorance of man creates monstrous dystopian version of transhumanism AdMech back, not Necron Robo-stooges.

I need to acquire plastic Skavenslaves, can you help?
I have a blog now, evidently. Featuring the Alternative Mordheim Model Megalist.

That cover has a Restartes marine on it... does that mean we're not getting separate Restartes and Secundus codex books? They'll both be combined into one?

Yes, that would appear to be the case now.

With Primaris on the cover of Space Marines Codex, it's another foreshadow those new models will take over as "space marine" models soon...

When they put [Color] Power Armor on the starter box or BRB, every other Chapter stopped being supported, so there's that.

6th and 7th edition Dark Angels got all the support? Also 3rd edition Black Templars with their 5 pages of rules, long past the release of the starter? Space Wolves didn't get any support in any edition from 3rd to 7th?

Long term maybe. But it wont be this year or next year, its simply too big a chunk of GW's product line for a sudden pull to make any sense. It will be an incremental process at any rate, and even if it starts with this codex release we won't see the vanilla marine lines gone until 2019 at the earliest.

Keep grasping at straws. There is no indication whatsoever that what you are saying is even remotely true.

Dakka does have White Knights and is also rather infamous for it's Black Knights. A new edition brings out the passionate and not all of them are good at expressing themselves in written form. There have been plenty of hysterical responses from both sides so far. So we descend into pointless bickering with neither side listening to each other. So posting here becomes more masturbation than conversation.

It is the repeated posting of your "speculation" as fact that is annoying.

So we already know the codex will be incomplete and upcoming Primaris releases won't be included (like the Dread).
So I really wonder... why not push the Marine codex back a bit? They seem to have no problem doing it with Death Guard.
